Hi. I was wondering if you would mind if I took a few of your translations (You have so many cool ones!) and turned them into a knitting pattern? Not for sale or anything, I have been plotting a scarf I want to make for the Chemistry Department Chair of my college as a thank you gift for the nearly 200 hours of tutoring he put into me one on one because I literally didn't understand the material. He's a big Doc Who fan, and I wanted to give him something neat.

Oh my goodness, it’s so flattering that you like my designs enough to turn them into a scarf! I bet your chair will love it; this is an incredibly sweet and thoughtful gift.

Absolutely, feel free to turn my designs into a pattern for personal use. Would you mind sharing a picture of the scarf when you finish it? I’d love to see how my designs look in fabric! (You can email me if you’d prefer to keep the project private: [email protected]).

As a general note to my followers at large, I’m totally fine with people adapting my designs for personal use, whether as a tattoo or crafting pattern or woodburning template, etc. I only ask that you credit me for the original design if you post anywhere online. I would also love to see a picture of the finished product if you’re comfortable with it, but no pressure!

If you’d like to sell something that incorporates one of my translations, I’m mostly okay with that, too, but with more criteria. Please ensure you’ve significantly transformed the design in some way (ie you aren’t just slapping my design onto a sticker and calling it a day). Don’t sell any tattoo designs I’ve made; if you’d like a quote someone requested as a tattoo, commission me to make a custom version for you instead. Credit me for the design, obviously. And please consider kicking a dollar or two my way if you make any money as a sort of royalty.

Several weeks ago, I mentioned the possibility of streaming while I worked on translations. Well, I finally set up a Twitch account for that purpose. I still don’t really understand how to use Twitch, but hopefully I’ll figure it out as I go. I definitely plan to turn this into a recurring thing, if only to familiarize myself with Twitch. 

Tonight, I’m testing this whole setup out by streaming myself working on a WIP, tentatively titled “Butterfly.” I think I only have 1-2 hours of work left on it, so I should be able to finish it tonight. if you’re interested in seeing how I translate things, feel free to stop by! I’ll be popping in and out of chat, and if y’all really want, I can maybe turn on my mic and answer questions and stuff.
