AU time

I really like to think of ways to incorporate both the archie verse and the idw verse together, to make stories using the best of both continuities.

One fun idea was having surge and kit be the adopted kids of Fiona and scourge. Their origins would be the same except that they escaped captivity as children, where they soon wondered upon the devious duo.

Scourge would immediately take a vain liking to surge (because she looks so much like him) and decides that he and Fiona should take on the kids and train them to be their successors.

“Raising kids will be easy” he says.…oh how wrong he was. Big crybaby kit drenches anyone within arms length with no notice - and attention grub surge screams the roof off till she get the exasperated embrace of one of her new carers.

TFA - TLJ - HALCYON

Now we get to the rise of Skywalker.....sigh

This film needs a complete overhaul, very little about it is good: bad cinematography, bad set design, bad costuming and bad character arcs. 😖

I hate that Rey goes back to her first costume removing all her character development, I hate that she's so infantilised and I hate hate hate how lifeless she is. 😡

I don't even know where to begin with fixing this film so for now we'll just fix the costuming. There are 2 outfits that I think should exist in this film, Rey's Grey Jedi outfit for a majority of the runtime and then the outfit she wears once the fight is won, relaxed & retired on a lush green planet, married to Ben with a growing family.

I experimented with different hairstyles and outfits. I'm undecided on which Grey Jedi design looks the best, I'm thinking the one with the cut-out top and green skirt looks the nicest, but feel free to give your two cents.

Another mashup au ~

Brief summary

I grew up with the acid trip that was Sonic Underground and have always loved the characters it introduced. However I'm very aware that they don't really make sense outside of that continuity, so how could I fit them into my mashup universe.

First change was removing Sonic from the band as he couldn't be the front man whilst also being a world traveling hero, whether this means removing the familial connection between him, Sonia & Manic I'm not sure, he could always be a distant cousin to them.

(Also, for anyone who has seen trolls 3, I totally see Sonia & Manic acting like Velvet & Veneer, stuck up spoiled sister and dumb devious brother.)

So who would replace Sonic as the main singer and guitarist, why fan favourites from archie of course, Mina & Ash mongoose. I changed their dynamic as well, instead of being her boyfriend Ash is now Minas older brother. Now he can be viewed as an endearing overprotective sibling instead of a controlling insecure boyfriend.

I had so much fun redesigning these characters, especially Sonia & Manic. I gave them a more obvious rock band look mixed with their own personal styles - Sonia = posh punk & Manic = grunge punk.

Mina I styled after e-girl fashion as it reflects her youthful positivity whilst also being alternative. Ash is a total emo & very anti- establishment, I tried to redesign him to match other male sonic characters however he just doesn't look right with out clothes, in a way it adds to this closed off nature.

I can never decide which sally design I like best, so I decided...why not have them all!

Prime/Mainline Sally - This is the definitive Sally, taking inspiration from both her pre & post genesis wave designs. I can't decide which hairstyle I prefer tho 1. the classic swoop bang or 2. mohawk.

Anti Sally/Alicia Acorn - Pink sally is the perfect design for anti sally, as the dark hair and pink fur give her a much more serious and girly look compared to Prime Sally. I also had her outfitted in purple as a reference to the sally doppelganger that appeared in the princess sally mini series.

Boom Sally - Blonde sally would fit right in with the Boom universe, she has such beachy vibes. I styled her from some satam concept art and repurposed an outfit she wore in the comics. Honestly one of my favourite designs.

Classic Sally - Since the classic era has become a whole separate dimension in the games, it only seemed right to design a sally that could fit in with the chibi style of the classic characters. Heavily inspired by her design in the fleetway comics. Probably the most feminine of all the sally's.

Zally Zacorn - The No Zone from the archie comics is honestly so cool and unexplored, so I thought why not design one final sally. This variant has a muted color palette as she is rather ordinary compared to the other sally's. I again based her off a pre-existing character from the comics, Sally McAcorn - who was a lawyer, I felt that fit perfectly into the dimension of the No Zone.

After drawing my rendition of the sonally family, I got the urgent craving to draw my shadamy family, and it just so happened to line up with prompt 9 of shadamytober, what are the odds 💕

I've had these characters for years now and they've gone through many cringey phases but I'm finally happy with these final designs and I'll probably continue to use them in all my shadamy nonsense 😁

Here's my second attempt at redesigning Blaze and I'm much happier with the results.

I had three outfit ideas all heavily inspired by Indian fashion, I ended up combining the 1st and 3rd concepts.

I then finalised her three form: Base form Blaze, heated Blaze (how I think she'd look when at top speed and power, also when she's angry) and Burning Blaze

TFA - HALCYON - TROS

The Last Jedi was my favourite film from the sequels, and Rey's story arc in this film is really good, again nothing to complain about.

One story change I'd make is having Luke agree to train Rey, have them training through out the film and show Luke becoming more aware of Rey's dark side, then have him refuse to train her further.

For this story change I gave Rey a more classic Jedi attire for her training scenes, with a black turtle neck underneath to visualise her hidden darkness. I also changed her poncho into a wrap around shawl as that’s more her characters style.

Of course when Rey discovers her origins (I'm undecided on what those origins might be) she shed's her Jedi apparel for her confrontation with Snoke.

I gave her grey robe outfit a sleeker look to visualise her maturity, as well as her beginning to give into the dark. She also uses her green cloth from Jakku as a wrap to show she's still connected to her home and isn't trying to shun her experiences away.

(Also Reylo force bond scenes aplenty 😜)
