Domestic Pokémon Tag Game!

This thread from @cloudmancy gave me an idea for a new tag game! The rules are simple:

Choose a maximum of three (3) Pokémon that you could maintain in your current living situation.

Explain why you choose them and how you think they would behave/interact with you and the environment they would live in ("normal" pets already present included).

Then tag 6 people (like a standard Pokémon Team) to hear what they would do!

Here's mine:

Mimikyu= I'm passionate about stitching, sewing and making things with cloth, so whenever it would try to change its Disguise I could make it new ones! Plus, what's best than snuggling a cutie beastie that's part-time eldritch horror? Since Mimikyus are part Ghost Types, it should be more active during the night that's when I'm more active as well due to the insomnia. Given the combo Fairy-Ghost Type, it would probably be mischievous as well, so I'll expect jump scares whenever I'm distracted or not paying attention to it.

Sinistea/Polteageist= I love tea and mugs, so this one was a natural consequence of both my cravings. I would try to get the Antique Form because it's rare and I'm a collection fanatic and peculiarities like this one are my jam. The Little Menace would try to trick me every time to drink a little of its tea to drain my life-force, so I would have to be careful of any beverage I drink... So after a while to be petty it could wake me up by splashing me on the face with it! (≧∇≦) Still, it would be the best partner to choose to get suggestions for "normal" brands and tea mixes and we would enjoy them together.

Applin/Appletun= This one was a hard choice, since I was torn between this (who is my typical icon), Zorua (because of their illusions and the Fluff™) and Eevee (also for the Fluff™ and for the flexibility of choices for evolutions). But then I realized that I need to differentiate my "Team" and someone who would help me look out for my plants, so Applin is my choice! They are adorable and being part Grass Type they are more sensible to plants needs, which is something I need because sometimes I forget to water them, so by caring for an Applin I would remember the others. The Cute Menace that is also part Dragon Type would be the primary culprit for making all the fruit (primarily apples) to disappear, forcing me to go shopping more often, but it's forgivable, after all who would say no to such an adorable face?! (๑ゝڡ●๑)

Anyway... Here's my tags! Since you asked @pennerjones I choose you! Then @floralflowerpower @theshinyslaking64 because I know they will enjoy it (and I want to see if their team matches), plus @ectoblastfromthepast @kimera20 @cleanlenins because they like pokémon as well.

Had a weird thought

Idk how similar to Palisman Hunter is biologywise but like we’re at the final fight or something right?

And Belos tries to absorb Hunter’s soul, but! one of our friends* is able to pull him back. But when they pull him back they also take all the other Palisman souls with him!

So then all these souls are inside of Hunter, I imagine this turns out as some sort of giant monstrous fusion that can help fight.

Kind of like a way for the Palisman to be able to fight back, also whatever may happen to Belos without those souls in him, whether it’s a hinderance or helpful.

*I imagine the friend being Luz possessed by the Collector.

This wont’t happen but I think it’s a neat thought

Danny floated high in the sky, watching the thick storm clouds gathering beneath his feet. It was going to rain - and rain and rain and rain. Normally Danny wouldn’t have any problem with this. Ghosts hated the rain (Danny included), but he would normally get to curl up and take a well-deserved nap (as long as he wasn’t stupid enough to ask his parents about why ghosts hated rain again, because they had an answer and wouldn’t stop talking).

But today was December the twenty-third. While Danny lived in Amity Park, which was far enough north that a late-December storm should have brought snow, this storm promised nothing but rain - and that simply would not do.

“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow,” Danny sang, drifting down closer to the storm clouds and reaching inside of himself for that icy core. His breath plumed blue in front of him and he pushed the feeling out and into the clouds.

It was simple, wasn’t it? Snow was frozen rain. All he had to do was cool down the clouds enough, and it would snow. A white Christmas for everyone in Amity Park, courtesy of the local ghost.

“I’ll repeat it again,” Tucker’s voice said through Danny’s headset, “This is a bad idea.” There was the sound of video games in the background. “Do not mess with mother nature.”

“You want it to snow too,” Danny countered, speeding up until he was buzzing over the tops of the clouds. Even as a ghost, he could feel the cold he was creating start to seep into his fingers and toes.

“I do. And yet this is not a good plan.”

With a roll of his eyes, Danny swooped around, trying to cool off as much of the storm as he could. It was about a half-hour before his fingers and toes were so numb he couldn’t feel them any longer. “All right, I’m headed back. The clouds have got to be cold enough for snow. You saved some hot chocolate for me, right?”

“Sure,” Tucker said, “depending on what you consider ‘some’.”

Danny scowled and vanished, zipping back to Tucker’s house and appearing in a flare of cold air and frigid rain. He ignored Tucker as the boy flinched away from the flying bits of ice. “You promised!” Danny yelped as he dove for his cup. Scooping it up and seeing little but dredges, Danny spun on his friend. “But I was doing good for the whole city!”

Tucker pulled the blanket off his bed and wrapped it around him, turning his back on Danny and going back to his video game. “There were marshmallows. I specifically told you before you left that I cannot be held responsible for my actions around half-melted marshmallows.”

Turning human again and shivering in the sudden cold, Danny scowled and opened his mouth to complain. But before he could speak, there was the sharp rattle of something against the window. Both Danny and Tucker turned to look. “Uh…” Danny said, setting down the cup, “does that sound like snow to you?”

“No.” Tucker walked over to the window and peered outside, then snorted out a laugh. “You’re going to want to come see this…”

Danny peered over his friend’s shoulder. The storm had let loose outside and was pummelling the ground. Only it wasn’t snow.

Tucker nudged his friend in the ribs, laughing harder. “Great job, weather boy. Stick with stars from now on.”

Danny pushed back with a scowl, stuffing his hands into his pockets and stalking away from the view of the storm - which was now dumping mounds of hail all over the town. “Yeah, yeah, yeah,” he muttered.

@ghostwiththemost Well to be honest Danny can be pretty overdramatic so it wouldn’t be suprising if this was about a cooking related mess. Like geez Danny.

@kimera20 Thanks! Whenever I’m tired my brain automaticly goes to angst for some reason. And when I’m sick it goes to fluff. Funny how that works. And there’s so much more Danny-related angst I haven’t even BEGUN to touch upon/share.

So here I am, bored out of my mind at work, and my brain travels across the ether of zoning out...

And a Crossover idea stuck!

So, do you Phans remember that animated movie that came out in 2009 called "Astroboy"?

[I mean this one.]

It was my first contact with the Astro Boy series and while I never explored the latter further, the movie amazed me and made me care (read: fear, empathize and ache) for the protagonist in ways that any other movie couldn't along with the first "How to Train your Dragon". (That's an accomplishment since after reading/watching many things I unfortunately became somewhat desensitized to plots in general. (╥﹏╥))

That being said, let's get back to the topic:

You all know how the movie premise is that Astro is the robotic replica of Toby, the professor's dead son?

What if we spin a bit of Phandom in it? <(꒪꒳꒪)>

There could be three ways to do this:

The first two have more or less the same trope = (post-movie) Natural Portal Shenanigans make either Danny or Astro cross dimension and Astro has Toby's ghost following him along for fun and only Danny can see him because he's an halfa.

The third take is the Fusion AU =

Danny as Toby dies in the same canonical accident, but the two cores instead of blue and red are green and pink/magenta ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

Phantom as Astro. In this Danny and Phantom are two different persons, but instead of "normal" superpowers/weapons, he's half-robot/half-ectoplasm entity (it's different than being a ghost, I still stan that ghosts are the post-mortem manifestation of the deceased's soul and you can pry this from my specter's cold hands) (Meaning: Phantom is not Danny's ghost in this).

Jack and Maddie as Dr. Tenma. They form an amazing team and something so trivial as an absentee single parent in Astro Boy canon won't stop me.

Frostbite as Dr. Elefun. I contemplated briefly Clockwork for this part, but the "supportive wise mentor" fit better with our favorite Yeti than with our cryptid stopwatch, not counting that he has already medical and technological knowledge in DP.

Jazz as Orrin (the robot housekeeper)? This one doesn't fit as well as the rest of the cast, so maybe there's no Jazz or she's in another city as studying-abroad-big-sister.

Sam as Cora. Rebellious girl with wealthy parents, who fights for her rights? Sign her in. (Not counting the teased romance between her and Astro/Phantom, that's only a plus.)

Tucker as "himself" (AKA not any particular role, just one of the orphans of the Surface). Techno-Geek that repairs robots for the Robot Fights and bonds spectacularly with Phantom.

Dani as ZOG. I know it's strange, but hear me out: ZOG was revived by Astro's core and it still keeps part of that energy, making it virtually both Astro's sibling and child! Ring a bell? Plus ZOG is a little shit when it's able to, so it's only a natural decision, really! (≧∇≦)

Cujo as Trashcan. Yep, the trashcan dog deserves the puppy counterpart.

Now that should be everyone! ...Or should it? Oh! Right! The Villains:

Freakshow as Hamegg. Who would be a better showman/ringleader than the insane circus owner who controls robots ghosts?

Vlad Masters as President Stone. Of course it was going to be him. Old friend of the protagonist's father? Check. Power hungry? Check. Wants the protagonist for one of his machinations? Triple check.

Plasmius as Peacekeeper. Pink/Magenta core explained! Who would have thought about that? (≧∇≦)

Skulker as General Heckler. Vlad's second in command and enforcer of his commands, it feels only natural.

There are so many other characters to assign, though at the moment I can't come up with what to do with the robot trio of the Robot Revolutionary Front or Valerie Gray, but this discourse made me want to re-watch the movie, so I'll probably add something tomorrow.

What do you Phans think? Is this worth considering for Danuary? (≧∇≦)

Pues fan del show siempre he sido. Oh, cómo solía cantar a todo pulmón la intro y enloquecer cada vez que Danny conseguía un nuevo poder cuando yo era pequeña...

En el Phandom ya sabiendo lo que es un fandom, empecé poco a poco desde el 2014, ¡y de hecho es la razón por la que creé mi cuenta de tumblr! Aunque no seguía a muchos blogs respecto al tema...

Ya de lleno me aventé como a finales del 2016, y en 2017 fue el primer año en que participé en un evento del fandom.

Parece poco cuando se pone así, ¡pero yo ya me acomodé y dije de aquí soy!
