SPEEDPAINTS R NEVER LAME!! speedpaints were personally apart of my childhood and somehow i learned to draw from them, they taught me better than any art tutorial could 😭 i think speedpaints might be significant to a GOOD CHUNK of artists tbh, that’s just what i think though

i think other ppl would love love LOVE to see more speedpaints from you, plus it’s another way to show off your characters, story, and your art skills!! ppl will go like “WOW THIS PERSON IS TALENTED” or “WOAH THIS OC IS SO INTERESTING I WANNA KNOW MORE”, etc.

HAHAHA NO BECAUSE SAME!!! DUDE i was OBSESSED with those MLP creepypasta speedpaints on MS Paint 😭😭😭

Welcome to my hidden little tumblr blog! My name is kizether (pronounced kizz - ee - ther) but i also simply go by kiz or pheo! I’m an artist and I’m trying to pick up writing as a hobby as well. ✭ i’m genderfluid!! i view myself in a soft masculine way (if that makes any sense idk), but i have many feminine phases too! i consider myself to be pretty androgynous sometimes tbh. my peak gender expression deep down is just old man clothing like HONESTLY I LOVE OLD MEN (mainly the fictional sweet ones tbh 💀) AND i rlly love stuff like frills n’ all that founding father/grandpa type drip as i hear ppl call it 😭 i wear anything i like irl tho :)

hey luvu do you have any types of advice or tips for designing/drawing detailed characters and being patient with the process? i noticed you have VERY detailed characters here and there, creative and beautifully done /pos and i wanna work on havin more detailed designs too for my more ethereal characters BUT just the thought of drawing, coloring, etc. all of that is tiring omg 😭 how do you personally go through the process?

OMG I WOULD BE ASO HAPPY TO ANSWER <33 I LOVE GETTING QUESTIONS OR TIPS!!

WELL OK first things first about those types of characters!! drawing them in general is lowkey really difficult sometimes 😭 esp for designs like Juniper, but how i would suggest going about it is making sure that your characters are detailed for a REASON. i know that sounds kinda goofy but think abt it for a second of WHY that character would be detailed in the first place, bc if the character isnt some highly being or very important high status, then why are they so detailed to begin with? it just wouldnt make much sense (this is also to avoid having overly complex design JUST for the sake of having complex designs. I see it a lot where characters start looking like Gacha Randomize characters (no offense LOL) bc they want to have everything at once, but not only can it be hard to draw, its also very straining for the viewer as well)

secondly, start thinking about what kind of complex design theyd have as well, is it more greek-clothing, victorian, or more complex as in small details attached to clothing/patterns, etcetc. One thing I would heavily suggest is using pinterest because I only got into it like. a year ago and it's SAVEDDD me on so many things for character design

NOW FINALLY picking colors, i will be honest I actually struggle with colors more recently than before. I think it's just due to working with humane characters WHICH ISNT BAD but i need to tabble more into colors n what not. BUT ANYWAY

what I would suggest is making different layers of sections where the colors are all the similar; think of it like a coloring game, where there's different numbers on each section for each different colors. It'll help a LOT to see what colors fit where, and make it much more easier for you too than just consistently recoloring it. A good example of this is actually Juniper where I did this same exact process, and you can see where each section is the same color, esp in greyscale:

ok but an idea randomly popped in my head, consider: one day you order custom matching shirts for you and omi and you use a few of the drawings from your recent video for your shirt w/ the quote “do you think we’re soulmates in every universe?” and omi’s shirt would have the rest of the drawings from the recent video w the quote “i think so! <3” LIKE THAT WOULD BE SO COOL 😭 (SORRY IF THIS MAKES NO SENSE ITS STILL VERY EARLY)

I’m really glad you liked the movie :) the movie holds such a dear spot for me and sharing it with other people is such a win tbh because they get to experience a good ass AND LOWKEY VERY RELATABLE FILM FOR ANY KIND OF CREATOR

The movie actually inspired me to take a notebook on my cruise last year and literally spend my cruise writing. It is just that good I highly recommend it to ANYONEEE

TDTC was more of just a personal project becoming more of a mainstream idea :) but the movie absolutely helped me motivate myself with my creations, my ideas mainly come out of my head in random ass moments or when me and my girlfriend are talking about it and she brings up really good ideas! she’s actually the reason why angela and connie have such a huge design change and honestly i really like it :)

YAYAYYAYAYAYAY OKOKOKO!!!!

SO!!! "Her" is actually her proper name when being referred in the Kingdoms and in general. "Angela" is actually her "nickname" when being spoken to by Connie since she wanted to... YK. GIVE HER GIRLFRIEND A NAME. (and it makes things easier for me to refer to :))

Angela isn't a good person really, she takes advantage of her status of being otherworldly to take advantage of Connie's emotions and basically become a second Queen. She brings more of a reason to submit to religion and the worship of "God", but is practically a God among the Kingdom itself. She's the reason why religion is pretty present around the Kingdoms (negatively and positively)

Her smile is actually a curse, she wasn't born with it but she's destined to be stuck like that forever

thats more lore stuff... this is more of just funfacts about her design/character!!

Angela is inspired off the Joker card

My main motivation for Angela is to portray this sense of "black dove" energy or crow kinda vibe,,, a kinda of "hauntingly beautiful" aura around her, she looks like an average gal but there's something mischievous about her that can't make you trust her, she's threatening basically

Left was her VERY first design in 2019 🤢🤢🤢 the second is her newest <3 any old art of her tbh is just her when she was younger since she looks like a baby LMAO

funny enough!! only reason i stopped with speedpaints was actually because i thought they were like. lame and didn't gain much more views/attention compared to my animations (which is very understandable)
