does Logan wear contacts while being a superhero, or have lenses in his mask, or fake glasses in his civvies?

Logan doesn't like the feel of contacts, so he has lenses in his mask. It's a give and take because if they get knocked off in a fight, he doesn't have 20/20 vision. However, that risk is better than the continuous slight decrease in his ability to concentration because of the feeling of contacts in his eyes. Also, his vision isn't great, but he could probably manage most fights without perfect eyesight because he could sense things with his telekinesis, so it's not too much of a risk.

You did not ask, but Patton also never wears contacts. This isn't because he dislikes them, but because of The Sleep Deprived Incident in college. He doesn't wear contact after that.

yes, the feeling b reunion :) they tried to keep it secret from their families and their wives already suspect all kinds of unholy things as boys keep weird hours . Otherwise Paul works in music shop, Flake is journalist in local paper and Schneider teaches kids drums at youthcentre.

Oh, totally. Because you know, the next garden party surely has some importance to it, since it's a party Paul initiated for old time's sake and he wants to celebrate it RIGHT. Like his birthdays always do, this garden party will have a theme (but pssshhht, the wives don't know a thing about this yet), "fun punk at the gardens" 🍃🌻 It will ultimately just be a mixture of chaotic 80s punk aesthetic meeting the 2000s 'way too big shirts and shorts, standing too close by the grill dad core', but that's ok, the vibe is what counts!

And what better way to reconnect with some old friends from back in the wild days, surely the Schwerin guys would love to join the party. Maybe even a joint jam session is in order as the evening progresses and the beer tastes just as delicious as it did back then, when every night was spend cheerfully and relaxed at the beach with bonfires and guitars 🎸 Till managed to get some free time on his busy schedule as the forest ranger in chief in his area (loves his job, can be in nature a lot while always carrying around his little note book to write down snippets of poems if something crosses his mind), Richard is currently on vacation in Germany anyway (as he works as a producer for a little small indipendent record label in California, putting all his savings in there and still waiting for it to get big - we'll see how that goes) and Oliver, a gentle and highly motivated sports teacher at a highschool and a professional surfer on the side (wait until he tells you about his time in Tokyo for the Olympics!) who even already promised to help with the party preparations beforehand. The party promises to be one for the books :)

more and more it makes me kind of uncomfortable (for lack of a better/softer word) to call my own characters ‘ocs’. because like. they’re from a completely original universe and from completely original intertwined stories and all that. so why would i have to specify they’re original in the same way someone would when referring to a character they made for a pre-existing non-original universe/franchise/whatever? by that logic every fiction author ever would be referring to their characters as ocs rather than just. their characters. you know.

The world hung by a single thread in those harrowing moments as the Saiyan of Legend stood with a trembling figure bulking and the spike of his anger causing the ground below to quake. Each bite was miniscule but one after the other, each word grating and irritating his flesh, inching further to causing the death of all that lived on that pathetic little world. The effect of an upper lip pulled itself into a snarl, fangs glinting in the shadow as the blacke irises flickered to crimson then teal. Black seas churning with hate struck to a bolt of turquoise before engulfing in a sea of golden flame. Cold and distant, his heart pounded, piercing orbs skewering like icicles into the heart of those opaque lenses reflecting the brilliance of his visage back.

Blinded by his own incurring wrath, nothing else mattered to him than to purge every single trace of such abhorrance from ever meeting his gaze again. Scalding hands burned with the summoning of rapidly churning ki, compacting tighter and tighter by the might of his own will. Deaf ears failed to hear anything else than the roaring of his own vocals, the ground below tore open with an explosion for the viscous blood of the planet to sweep out like a festering wound. Tremors crashed against the world below as a barrage of tightly paced blasts razed into it, scorching it to cinders. Shockwaves crashed outwards, shattering rock as they stood with cracks dismantling the foundations and crumbling into chaos.

Reason was already a bygone ship lost to the maelstrom as the enraged Saiyan surrounded himself in a shield and rose to the pinnacle of the sky. Shining with all the plasmic fury of a star hellbent on becoming a supernova, the sheer overwhelming power lurking within the confines of his flesh had nowhere else to go than to burst outwards in a legion of bolts falling like rain.

Each explosion tore out more of the world's internal mantles, exposing more until the very heart itself was blown apart and the Earth tore itself to pieces.

hey! this is chance & here’s week 2's prompt. when you write or create an oc, do you like to reference elements from your life? if yes, name a few. if no, why not?

Pull from my life ? Sort of. Specifically, myself. I often make my villains by extrapolating my worst behaviours. Felix Abner, the villain of my main WIP, started as a self insert.

I have BPD, quiet type, but I always think about what a worse version of myself would be like, a version of myself who didn't have the crippling anxiety that holds me back from making a scene or hurting people. Felix started as that different version of me, although he has certainly changed over time and has many aspects of his character that no longer resemble me. However, his behaviours centred around obsession and love still pull from my own disordered thinking.

Cassedy Lowell, the main character of that same story, has NPD. Although I don't have NPD, I do use some of my own self-aggrandizement as inspiration for writing him and his thought processes. I often dream of being famous or widely recognized, so I gave him similar desires then built from there (with advice from acquaintances with NPD).

I find it therapeutic to put my mental issues into my characters, especially the issues that cause me to imagine violence or have upsetting intrusive thoughts. Writing characters who go through with those thoughts lets me handle those ideas in a safe place where no one actually gets hurt.

Also, my life isn't really that interesting, so I don't have any cool events to pull from. If I had a more exciting life I'd probably use it as inspo, but I'm a pretty boring person from the outside. All the interesting things happen in my noggin.
