Was Alastor trying to pretend he was Charlie's boyfriend towards Lucifer at first? Was he actually sending mixed signals about their supposed relationship just so the king would assume they were dating??

If so, that's hilariously amazing, I wish he kept the act up, imagine how much shipping fuel we could have had. Like Alastor could have acted like the obnoxiously perfect gentleman to Charlie (Pulling her up a seat at the table, kissing her hand, giving her more compliments, etc.) with her appreciating his gestures, all while Lucifer was silently fuming in the background.

Later, when Charlie finally reveals to her dad that she was actually dating Vaggie, he would be extremely relieved. "Oh, thank FUCK you weren't dating the busboy. Maggie's much more your type!" Cue confused sputtering from Charlie that her dad assumed she was with Alastor all while Lucifer hugged the life out of Vaggie.

If episode 5 went this way, not only does Vaggie get validation from her girlfriend's dad, we also get to have Charlastor moments. It's a win-win for both ships!

This description genuinely feels like an early draft of the episode that was eventually scrapped. Anon are you secretly a writer for the show??🤔

Vou dar algumas ideias pra todos os disponíveis, mas se quiser pedir por mais de alguma vaga específica, só mandar outra ask ou chamar no chat. Debaixo do Read More porque me empolguei, mas se lembrem que esses prompts são só isso: ideias e sugestões. Não estou o batendo martelo em nada aqui não.

Pequeno disclaimer: como o tio pode ser um príncipe estrangeiro, isso abre portas para que os filhos possuam outras etnias também! As sugestões de FC que coloquei aqui são só para direcionar o que eu imagino de "possíveis vibes" do char.

Tia da princesa, F, 40-45 anos, irmã mais nova do falecido rei, Corte dos Notáveis por Fontenay. Sugestão de FC: Janet Montgomery, Charlize Theron

Primeira coisa a se pensar, como era a relação dela com o irmão? Ele foi o escolhido para liderar a França e ter um casamento histórico com uma das herdeiras britânicas, e ela nem assumiu a posição de Conselheira, ficando só com o título de Lady/Duquesa/Condessa e uma posição na Corte. Por um lado, uma política mais próxima do povo francês era o que ela sempre quis fazer, e agora está vivendo a vida que sempre quis, podendo lutar pelos interesses de sua província com afinco, e com mais força do que qualquer outra pessoa da Corte por ser parte da família real de sangue. Ela podia ser a guia da princesa, uma verdadeira matriarca e figura materna francesa, bem contrastante com a atual rainha consorte da França, que seria a figura inglesa.

Ao mesmo tempo, ela pode nunca ter desejado a posição e até se consolado porque era um bom pagamento e ainda estaria acima dos plebeus, mas também ter ficado muito irritada, porque basicamente taria sendo diminuída entre a família real. Ela nunca teria cumprido um bom papel como membro da Corte, e teria agravado ainda mais as desigualdades entre a monarquia e o povo. Seria uma mulher super elitista, e torceria o nariz pra toda selecionada que não soubesse o mínimo de luxo. Rebeldes??? Oi?? Ela não gostaria da Inglaterra, mas muito menos quer ver o trono na mão de outras pessoas que não tem a menor capacidade de governar um país (como se ela tivesse).

Tio da princesa, M, 40+, casado com a tia da princesa. Sugestão de FC: Ryan Gosling, Serkan Çayoğlu (se for estrangeiro)

Pô, e se alguém mandasse aqui um trophy husband, um himbo que todo mundo adora? A única coisa descrita sobre ele é que ele é casado com a ex-princesa mais nova da família real. Como que um cara conseguiu um feito desses? Imagino um cara super carismático, no mínimo! Será que ele é um ator, um modelo, um chef famoso? Alguém muito notável no seu campo, de qualquer forma, pra ter conseguido se casar com ela e ainda ter a aprovação da família real. Claro, ele também pode ter algum título da nobreza, provavelmente comprado, mas o suficiente para se destacar e, com isso, se destacar aos olhos da mulher. Um paizão!

O outro lado dessa moeda é, justamente… Um plebeu que conseguiu uma ex-princesa. Tô sentindo um cheirinho de rebelde infiltrado na corte, hein? Uma missão que está durando anos e anos (e que resultou em dois filhos!), mas que está valendo muitíssimo a pena. O homem se sacrificou pelos rebeldes, e provavelmente foi escolhido por ter tido um passado tão sofrido que nem documentos tinham, que permitiu os rebeldes forjaram a identidade perfeita para ele conseguir seduzir a ex-princesa. Teria sido ele que a convenceu a pegar o papel como membro da Corte dos Notáveis, já que ele não tem título pra isso? Estaria ele se metendo nas políticas de Fontenay há tempos, sem nunca ser descoberto?

Um estrangeiro; outro príncipe mais novo de outro país, que teve um casamento arranjado como politicagem. Nem ele, nem sua esposa iam governar os próprios países, e eles casaram sabendo disso. Talvez possa nunca ter dado certo, talvez tenham criado laços por estarem na mesma situação, e agora se amam apesar de terem tido seus sonhos cortados cedo demais.

Primo 1, M/F/NB, 20-29, filhx do tios acima, convivia muito no castelo durante a infância, muito provavelmente à favor da princesa. Sugestões de FC: Maxence Danet-Fauvel, Maika Monroe, Zoey Deutch

Esse primo ficou muito tempo no castelo de Versailles, e pouco pisou para fora. Um nobre na torre de cristal pode implicar em muitas coisas, mas que tal alguém que tenha realmente medo de sair? Leu tantas coisas nos livros, ouviu tanto sobre guerra, sabe tanto de política e da situação desigual do país... É autoconsciente demais para o próprio bem. Um gatinho assustado, com medo da própria sombra. Se esconde sempre atrás dos primos, e pode tanto ter inveja deles quanto admirá-los. A ideia da Seleção, com tanta gente de fora, está o deixando ansioso!

Por que falamos de "provavelmente à favor"? Porque, bem, a ideia de um primo ter crescido do lado da princesa e ainda continuar ali implicaria que ele gosta dela. Isso pode não ser o caso! Por que ele ficou no palácio e seu irmão foi fazer intercâmbio? Será que ele não tem rancor dos pais por ter perdido a oportunidade para o mais novo? Ele ficando no castelo o tempo todo, vendo a princesa dar suas escapadas pela cidade, desafiar a posição que foi imposta para ela e mesmo assim tendo sucesso... Pode ter uma inimizade bem grande aí.

Primo 2, M/F/NB, 20-29, filhx do tios acima, estudante intercambista, muito provavelmente se opõe à princesa. Sugestões de FC: Simona Tabasco, Avan Jogia, Alina Kovalenko, Lucien Laviscount

A pergunta principal desse personagem é: Para onde fez intercâmbio? Se o pai é estrangeiro, voltou para seu país para se conectar com suas raízes? O que encontrou lá? A ideia do "provavelmente não apoiar a princesa" vem por esse primo achar que tem bem mais coisa fora da França para ele, que a França tá quebrada assim por causa da família real. Talvez ele se ache bem melhor e mais preparado do que os dois príncipes, já que morou em outro país e seria um diplomata muito melhor que qualquer um deles.

A outra ideia seria se esse primo fosse uma pessoa mais relax. Intercambista, sim, mas por ser rico mesmo e querer viajar, o que tem? "Sim pai, sim mãe, podem financiar minha mais nova viagem que vou ajudar bastante vocês com as políticas eeeeee uhhh o que precisarem". Estaria voltando para a Seleção para poder ver o que vai dar, porque a curiosidade é maior. Essa versão desse primo poderia ser tanto neutro quanto à favor da princesa (e até contra também, vai que queria viajar para escapar daquele castelo chato?).

Enfim, muitas possibilidades! Se precisar de ainda mais alguma coisa, só nos chamar do chat da central.

/ / L U X O T H E C A M R Y / / Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to introduce you to Luxo. He’s a car. He’s my new car. And he’s a product of God’s faithfulness. Long story short (hopefully), I’ve never had a car. So, I’ve of course been saving towards a car and open to looking at any that looked promising. One day I looked at 2 that really stood out to me, but neither of them felt right. They were decent and affordable, but a good scenario isn’t always God’s plan. I couldn’t shake the feeling, so I decided to wait. My mom reminded me that God will do exceedingly and abundantly more than anything we could ask Him. I was dared to just ask Him. That night before bed, I asked Him specifically that He would provide me the car He wants me to have, and that I could be able to purchase it in full, staying debt free. The VERY. NEXT. DAY. God showed off His faithfulness to me and completely blindsided me. He literally GAVE me an excellent-condition 2001 Toyota Camry, that didn’t cost me 1 cent. In a way that only He could. Moral of the story: God is faithful + He answers prayers. He’s a really, really good father. And He wants to GIVE you exceedingly above all. He delights in doing these things for His children. If you have a need, a hearts desire, or you’re believing for a miracle of any kind, I dare you to ask Him - specifically - to do what You have in mind. And in His timing and according to His amazing plan for your life, He WILL absolutely blow your mind with exceedingly and abundantly above all you could ever dream of. And when He does, you’ll have this burning desire to give + serve + share + worship and boast in Him for who He is. Just ask Him and be faithful, and watch what He does. He just gave me a car the day after I asked Him. Anything - literally anything - with God is possible for you. Be faithful, trust, ask, and believe. You could even fast too. I promise it won’t go in vain. // P.S. I really really like this car. I really really can’t wait to drive it. Like I can see Alastor being a smug, manipulative shady salesman messing with an optimistic, determined dreamer like Charlie who will not take his shit.

(I'm imagining Charlie one-upping Alastor at some point and says, "It's just a hustle, sweetheart," with a self-satisfied smirk and that image can't get out of my head.)

Sometimes it's hard to be a Charlastor shipper.

Say you ship Alastor with (insert character here) and no one bats an eye.

But say you ship Alastor with Charlie and society goes wild.

But that's part of why it's nice to see other people enjoying this ship.

Charlie would make the most sense as Alastor’s partner out of anyone tbh, because in case you all have forgotten he fucking despises Lucifer and Vox, and literally all men ever. I’m not saying you can’t ship him with them, let’s just not act like it’s completely out of line to ship him with Charlie🤷‍♀️

And to clarify, I’m also in no way saying people can’t have opinions (for some reason everyone likes to interpret my defense as me being like ‘wahhh you have to like charlastor cuz I like it grrr’ which…no???) But that doesn’t give anyone the right to send hate to charlastor shippers simply because you don’t like the pairing. It’s really not that hard to block the tags or simply scroll away and say nothing.

Anyway that’s why I love my charlastor mutuals so much. We know we have good taste and we stick together cuz of it😋🙏

I realized that Charlastor has parallels with not only Lucilith, but also Stolitz.

In the case of Lucilith, Charlie is a (half) angelic being with big dreams who was not accepted by her people and Alastor is a human-turned-demon who broadcasted his powers through Hell to Garner respect and fear from the other demons.

While with Stolitz, Charlie has trouble managing her project and getting it to succeed and Alastor is this shady benefactor who has the power and means to help her in her endeavors for a price.

Not only that, all three of these ships are involved in going against the status quo or natural order of things by associating with someone lower than their station (Lucifer was an archangel/Lilith was a human, Stolas was an Ars Goetia/Blitzø was an imp and Charlie was a hellborn princess/Alastor was a sinner overlord) and are going through huge issues in regards to their relationships that they need to overcome (Lucifer and Lilith split, Stolas plans to break things up with Blitzø and Charlie is involved in untrustworthy deal with Alastor that may lead to betrayal).

Despite the fact Charlie and Alastor are never going to be canon, it is an amazing coincidence that they share parallels with two canon ships. Charlastor continues to surprise me with the amount of layers it has, it saddens me that so many dismiss their immense chemistry and despise us for loving such a beautiful ship.

Not a single goddamn lie was told here👏🏻‼️

If you really think about it, the ship where Alastor would be involved in that would most likely be canon so far would be Charlastor.

I mean, he despises Lucifer and sees Vox as not worth his time, so he's not gonna be throwing himself all over them anytime soon. Nearly everyone he interacts with besides the three women he's friends with, he's either indifferent, respectable or hostile to, but towards Charlie? This man has allowed her to touch him without permission, stated multiple times that he has faith in her beliefs and even handed her his source of power. Twice.

I'm aware he's doing all this with some underlying motive, but you can't deny he won't do all this for just anyone. I really can't imagine him all comfortably curled up in Angel's bed or getting handsy with Lucifer (He wipes his hands after touching him, man really doesn't like him at all). I support all ships with Alastor but if we're looking at this at a canon perspective, Alastor interacts with Charlie the most and will continue to interact with her as the show goes on, it's more possible to happen in a sense with Alastor.

Plus with all the romantic cues the show has (Unintentionally?) given so far, with the part where both Charlie and Alastor are laying on the heart shaped pillow but Charlie falls off the bed while Alastor remains on top off it, it seems that there could be a very small possibility that there might be an unrequited crush on Alastor's part.

Yeah, it's a stretch, but hey, he didn't have to lay in that bed. He could have stayed standing, looming over Charlie to show that he might be helping her but he still sees himself as above her and in control of the situation. But! Someone still animated him on that bed! They still animated him on that heart shaped pillow right beside Charlie! They didn't have to, but they still did and my minds still reeling after that fact.

No because you’re absolutely correct here.

Out of any of the characters in the series for Alastor to end up with, if he were to have a romantic subplot of any kind, it would be Charlie. They have the most potential together as a pairing and there have been so many little hints and visual cues that I’m honestly shocked that a romance plot isn’t where their relationship is going.

I genuinely cannot see Alastor ever engaging in anything romantic or physical with Vox or Lucifer in any way. And whenever I say that people like to excuse me of hating gay ships (which I clearly don’t. I am queer, and I love seeing queer ships that actually make sense and have good chemistry, and not just because they’re gay). It’s because he canonly hates men and is much kinder towards women—except for Vaggie lol. Yes, ship Alastor with whoever you want. It’s not my place to tell you if your ship is bad or not. I honestly don’t care because it’s your opinion and as long as you’re having fun with it, that’s all that matters!

But like anon is saying here, if we’re looking at it from a canon viewpoint, let’s think about it. Again, Alastor clearly doesn’t like men and can’t even be bothered to shake Lucifer’s hand without being disgusted. There have been three women who could be potential love interests. First is Mimzy, which I can see there may have been some flirtation here and there in the past, or even an unrequited crush on her part. But with her basically using him to get her out of trouble all the time, I can’t see them going beyond their on-and-off friendship. Then there’s Rosie, who he’s obviously very comfortable around and lets her touch and grab him as she pleases—which he wouldn’t let slide with any male characters in the show. And the Radiorose ship is cute I admit, but to me they’re a pair of gossip buddies who would maybe pretend to be in a relationship if needed, but otherwise their feelings don’t go any further than platonic.

And so that leaves us with Charlie. When I first watched the pilot I absolutely assumed they were going to have some kind of slow burn, not only because the idea of the princess of Hell and this feared Radio Demon falling for each other is so intriguing, but generally just the way they acted with each other. In like a span of eight minutes they were happily dancing together, with Alastor calling her one of a kind, tossing her around and making improvements to her dream hotel.

You can imagine how surprised I was when I found out they weren’t canon and weren’t going to be in the actual show. Like, I was legit going “🤨🤨🤨” and this was before I was even in the fandom lmao

And thank you so much for mentioning that scene in her bedroom because…

What is this. What do you mean the mfs making this show drew out this scene, carefully looked at every detail for the final product, and went “yup👍” if there wasn’t supposed to be something more going on here???

Like seriously if you’ve never watched this episode and you saw these two frames, what exactly would you assume is going on here? Be honest with me

Genuine question: Why do you ship Radiobelle? I've seen a lot of people doing it, and I'm curious as to what the appeal is!

The real question is, why do people ship anything? Why do we all see two or sometimes more characters interact with each other and imagine how cool it would be if they both had deep-seated romantic feelings for the other?

Answer: cuz we can!😌

Idk about the rest of you, but I don’t exactly have much control over what I ship and don’t ship😅 I just see the characters together and my brain randomly decides either “yes I want them to make out” or “nooo I don’t really see it”. (I am in no way a pro shipper though cuz no)

But as for Radiobelle specifically, there’s just something about them that my silly fangirl heart can’t resist. While I am fairly new to the HH fandom, I did watch the pilot around the time it came out and a small part of me did ship them back then. But I never really allowed myself to indulge in it and I just wasn’t that into the show anyway so I didn’t bother. Now, after actually watching the episodes and engaging in fandom content, I finally embraced the cringe to the full extent and let myself be consumed by the radio demon and his charming demon belle! :P

Now I’m aware that the majority of people don’t like Radiobelle, or even full-on hate it for multiple reasons. Sure, whatever. You don’t have to like every ship, nor does anyone expect you to! I can understand it’s not for everybody. The main thing that bugs me, though, is when people try to start arguments about why it’ll never be canon and why you shouldn’t ship it. “Charlie is with Vaggie and Alastor is aro/ace!” People ship Alastor with a multitude of other characters and nobody bats an eye,, why is it only when you see him being drawn with Charlie that you lose your shit and get offended about his sexuality being ‘erased’? (That’s a topic for a whole other post tbh). And people can ship Charlie with other people. Hell, they DO! I’ve seen numerous art of her and other characters.

Then there’s also the “Alastor thinks of her as his daughter!” See, I want everybody to actually watch episode 5 again and come back to me on this. No, he fucking does not. The only reason he was saying any of that was to get under Lucifer’s skin. That’s it. That was his whole intention. He doesn’t like Lucifer and wanted to rub it in his face that he has been a lousy father to his daughter, in comparison to all the ways he has helped her, with the hotel and whatever else.

Phew, now that I’ve gotten that out of the way! Onto why Radiobelle has stolen my heart!

I just love their dynamic and it all really started with the pilot. Alastor—this mysterious force of nature who can kill anyone and anything, is capable of unimaginable power and torture—randomly showing up on the doorstep of a hotel to help out. And literally no one else trusts him (reasonably so) but Charlie, the good-hearted soul she is, lets him in. She’s cautious, of course, but she’s giving him the chance to do some good because that’s what her dream is all about!

Now while I do wish they had some more interactions in the actual show, what we have so far is scrumptious✨ Alastor may have been giving an abundance of praise to Charlie to piss off her dad, but I don’t think he was lying. Deep down I’m sure he is enjoying the time they’ve spent together—even if he doesn’t fully realize it. Charlie defends Al’s sadistic behavior to her dad because he was doing it to defend the hotel (and bc he’s a cocky mf lol but it’s endearing to her in a way).

Oh and don’t even get me STARTED on episode 7 bro,, omfg the content!! The way he’s extra touchy with her even after they’ve made their deal. Her being nervous and stressed out but he encourages her anyway and verbally admits that he had faith in her the whole time. Him giving her his microphone—which is likely the main source of his power as shown in episode 8 (where he let her use his mic AGAIN!!!) which just shows how much he actually trusts her,, UGH it’s just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 give me more!!

Now, do I expect Radiobelle to become canon? No. Would it be fucking awesome if it did? Oh absolutely. But I know it won’t, and I don’t care! I’m having the time of my life shipping these two hell-dwelling idiots and I don’t care what anyone says about it!😋
