i actually finished something wahoo 🎉

GO READ HOW TO BE A PROPER GENTLEMAN BY @quilna!!
I think it's impressive that the original sketch dates back to early August, meaning this piece in total went through 2 months of exams, procrastination, switching to iPad and starting again on it from scratch, and still I had enough leftover motivation to finish it. This shows that Quill fics have great power to sustain motivation to draw, out of sheer talent and guilt if I don't finish it.
once again go read the fic please I beg of you

ALRIGHT. NEW PAGE- NEW THEORY!!
So we all know that in chapter 7 Jekyll is sort of opening up more about his alchemic experiment with Frankenstein, finally speaking at least a tiny bit about what he’s done without really saying anything about Hyde and all his issues, blah blah blah you get it.
Tumblr media
So in the new page, zooming in on her, what if.. Henry has someone to confide in even more so now? yes he has people of comfort like Rachel and Lanyon but they don’t KNOW the depths of this, now do they? NOPE! But she does! At least more so than anybody else. She at least knows the beginning of the story, maybe not the full bit but maybe she’ll even get that! Hell, these two are some of the few MAD mad scientists (™️ ), I mean she brought a fucking person from the dead back to the living world, if anyone will understand the depths of mad science, it’s her, and she probably knows that science knows no bounds. So if she can do that, she’ll understand that Henry could do that mind split.
Tumblr media
And at the ending of their interaction in chapter 7.. she does ask about this so called “evil.” And he does give her a sort of look like “OH I’LL SHOW YOU-“ because well, everyone has an ego, and we all know that people love proving others wrong <3 So maybe, just maybe for once, we’ll have some sort of mentor, apprentice shit or just something good come out of these two being in the same vactinity as each other (probably not because they’re both insane but hey, no judgements here.)

More Designs!
Tumblr media
Jasper - Ok, I know he looks weird - he's just a happy boi! pls don't look too closely at the hands. So, I gave him big (and really badly drawn) calves becasue he's basically always doing some sort of exercise/work and Sage once said that he's the strongest, and we never really see his legs so I felt like showcasing those details here. Now his shoes, yet another thing that might look random, however I assure you, that these are what medieval workers use to wear. I kept his design relatively similar to his canon one, although I did have to give him a different hat.
Rachel - out of all the designs, Rachel's is the most historically accurate. it's a common misconception that women were shunned for showing their forearms/ankles but it was actually quite normal! married medieval women would wear veils and other elaborate headwear, however women who were not would either wear their hair loose or in a braid. Rachel isn't married so she wears it loose, I added a little braid that she puts flowers and decorative items in, to make her design a little bit more interesting. (and becasue its pretty)
Frankenstein - Frankenstein is really fun to draw! I don't exactly know why but she just is! She has this big fluffy pelt thing going on, it's made of a lot of fur and owl feathers, why owl feathers? because she reminds me of an owl, that's why. she also has big ol' snowboots because it snows in the swiss mountains and because I think it looks cute. you can't see her gloves but they are dark brown (fyi). she has these vials attached to her belt but they can also serve as an emergencey crystal ball - you know, just in case you have to conjure up some evil spirits, as one does.
Papa Lanyon - I think Papa Lanyon sounds way funnier than Lanyon sr. and it contrasts his serious face. I anticipated that he was going to be really hard to draw, but It was surprisingly easy. I liked his design until I had to colour him, I really don't know what happened there, I'm slightly annoyed because I wanted him to appear very cool and dapper, yet he really looks like a generic king. So this doesn't have to be his official design, he just wears fancy king clothes (it's not that important anyway because we don't see him all that much) he is wearing metal soldier-like boots, solely because I searched up outfit references and they all had soldier boot things.
Now that I've done this, I have no more excuses to procrastinate doing work for the other things in the au. Anyway I hope everyone likes these. have a nice day/moring/afternoon/night!
*just realised I forgot to colour their eyes, I'll add later!

I present, from my new Lanyon drinks the potion AU (working on the name), Robert Lanyon and his HJ7 Alter ego!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Taking pictures of colored pencil drawings is the bane of my existence, bc lighting is so annoying.
Anyways!!! I've settled on the first name Elias, bc I feel like Henry would help name him and Elias is a letter off from Alias (which means a fake/pen name), so I thought that'd be funny :3 still working on the last name tho.
Yes, that is Hyde's vest that Elias is wearing. Henry gave it to him on his first night alive after clearing everything up with him and Robert about what just happened to him. Since he's near Hyde's size, Jekyll decided that he needed some clothes, at least temporarily, but Elias refuses to give it back now, despite having his own clothes. Why? Because Henry gave it to him, and he loves Henry so much. it's also Hyde's vest, who's part of Henry, so by proxy he's gotta love him too, right? How could he hate any part of Henry?
Unlike Hyde, Elias isn't some self-proclaimed evil incarnate. He's very easy to read emotionally and is very honest to everyone around him. He's very open about his feelings, which are generally very quick to change, especially towards those he cares most about (*cough* JekyllandHyde *cough*-) and he strives for praise. He likes accomplishing things and has more of a liking for "sciency stuff", he also recalls most of the doctor things that Lanyon learned from university and isn't deterred by gross things and blood. He shares hyde's wanderlust and will run around town with him, though Elias prefers parks and nature over the slums of London, and he also enjoys the rooftops.
Timeline wise, Lanyon accidentally drinks the potion after all the blackfog and queen Lucy stuff, when they "kidnap" Hyde. Specifically, it happens right before Jekyll dumps all the HJ7 down the drain- like, right before. Lanyon kinda interrupts him doing that. Henry reenters the room in the middle of Lanyon's transformation, so he's there when Elias kinda "wakes up".
Anyways, please please PLEASE ask me questions about him, I'd love to answer them :3 also, I'm currently working on a fic for this!! The first chapter is almost done I think, I just need time to actually sit down and write.
Also jejvkekkvke character design is SO HARD, shout out to people who do it all the time. Also apologies if the skin looks off in any way, I've never really used colored pencils to color any characters, much less any colored characters, so I kinda had to figure it out as I went lmao.

The Glass Scientists webcomic is that EXACT “messy gay story” that I’m looking for. It involves two men from the earliest century, one of them (Henry Jekyll) has internalized homophobia and spent years convincing himself that any gay or LGBTQ+ relationship is doomed to fail due to the heartbreak he personally experienced in college at the time of meeting his lover, and the other (Robert Lanyon, the POC one) is a stubborn self centered yet deep down caring man who’s afraid of commitment and emotional attachment. Even after they separated after having a fuck buddy fling in college that supposedly on the surface meant nothing to them yet EVERYTHING deep down, they remained close friends as they grew older, Jekyll opening his science society and continued with his work, only this time he has a counterpart, Edward Hyde, who brings out everything he doesn’t like about himself, everything he’s afraid to be. Having Hyde be this unhinged openly sexual person yet someone who paints himself as not having any deep emotions makes sense for the story. Hyde doesn’t need to be this big bad murderer because this is a different adaptation of Jekyll and Hyde. It’s not about a man who wants to do whatever he wants so he creates a potion to get off scott free for everything including murder, it’s about a man who suppresses not only his emotions he feels like he dare not feel, but himself, keeping a perfect gentleman facade in constant fear of what others would think of the real him.
Not that too recently in the webcomic, Jekyll has started to question if Hyde truly is “evil” since that’s all Jekyll saw him as. He doesn’t see Hyde as the suppressed version of himself, being in denial and thinking this is black and white. That’s what I love about this webcomic. Characters like Laynon and ESPECIALLY Jekyll are flawed people who need to be bonked on the head about their emotions and how to deal with them in a healthy way, and the comic doesn’t shy away from that. It opens different perspectives, different beliefs on why the characters act the way they act and the hardships they’re going through. Many of these characters are engaging and likable, even if they are flawed and make mistakes or have not the best beliefs, including a trans character named Jasper, a day manager with a dark past named Rachel, and even Dr. Frankenstein. Recently Jekyll and Lanyon are currently in a clash. Laynon never cared about science, that was Henry’s passion, and yet he still stayed by his friends side. Lanyon was at first thinking about quitting, giving up after trying to help Henry in whatever was going on with him (since no one knows about Hyde) but now due to the fear of losing Henry, Lanyon wants to shut down the entire society before it slowly kills his best friend completely. Henry on the other hand doesn’t react so easily.
Tumblr media
I love how both characters are in the wrong, and yet you can see both of their perspectives as well. Lanyon has been worrying about Jekyll since the beginning of the comic, only for Jekyll to keep his “perfect easy going” facade and push him away. Lanyon is just done, and meanwhile with Jekyll, all those repressed emotions are starting to come out. As readers we learn that Hyde held resentment towards Lanyon, but he never knew why since in his eyes, Jekyll handles the “emotional” aspect of themselves. It’s clear to say however, that despite Jekyll caring deeply of his friend and even putting him up on a pedestal in his brain (something that was revealed in an earlier chapter) he deep down hates Laynon for what he did, leaving him after Robert had to get married and acting like it was nothing. Jekyll spent years hiding everything from everyone, and Robert does have a point, he’s overworking himself and has been for so long, but Jekyll is a very stubborn character, and I love that. This is the most recent page and I have no idea what will happen next, but I’m all for this, these two characters have been bottling SO much up and I think it’s time they snap. Can’t wait for the next update.

I had an idea i’ve been considering recently and ran w it.
J+H/ tgs fic based on the idea that Jekyll starts thinking he sees Hyde in the mirror.
I love. identity crisis’s. and blurring the lines between your sense of self.
Jekyll walked past the standing mirror briskly, sparing it only the slightest passing glance. (It was a busy day even for his standards, and he had no time to spare for preening himself.)
Everything was as it should’ve been.
His deep red, almost brown waistcoat and bright red cravat, perfectly tied. A flash of green.
Shoulder length blonde-
(WHAT?-)
He recoiled, and took one stuttered step back.
He stared into the mirror with a sort of all consuming franticness that ate into his mind.
Short brown hair, freckles, and just barely tanned skin greeted him, almost like an old friend. (And what a welcome friend it was!-)
But still, they looked at themself in the mirror again, as if to confirm that he was himself.
(…Was Hyde not himself?…)
As he stared at his own(?) reflection with an open gape, [Something that somehow looked foreign on his own face…] they could’ve sworn his eyes gleamed green, if even just for a split second. (Was it a trick of the light? Something they imagined?-)
They stared into the glass, mind racing, until their heart stilled. (…It took him grabbing his own hair and tugging it harshly, to fully believe it was still his own…)
…Still, even with that confirmation, their mind raced…
[What the fuck was wrong with him today?-]
“Thank God.” They whispered aloud several horrible moments later, when it truly sunk it. (But why did their voice feel too high? Too smooth? Too synthetic and fake?-)
Unwillingly, that racing in his heart returned.
(And that feeling of wrong, wrong, wrong!-)
…He pushed it aside, in favor with continuing with his day.
(Just because they were having a crisis did not mean that the world stopped in its tracks! Henry Jekyll was still a gentleman with a busy schedule.)
But for the rest of the day, he avoided mirrors…
(Unwilling to even imagine the possibility-)
Traded glares behind his shoulder…
(Was the shadow he cast always so short?-)
And flinched away at any sort of contact. (They felt as if even the slightest touch from anyone would set them off. Into what, they didn’t know….)
…A reaction, so unlike himself, but perfectly like themself?
The idea that they would be able to see what was behind his eyes, and in his mind?-
[That secret they felt like they were concealing more and more poorly as the days went on…]
Lanyon had commented that they he seemed a ‘little off’ that day.
They waved him off with a comment and a laugh. (Was that their true laugh? Or the unrestrained wild one, that drew stares from all the way across the bar?)
(What was real?-)
Later at night in his office, he stared ahead with a numb expression.
…Maybe they should abstain from the potion. It was clearly harming their mind in some capacity.
(They had a mild history of hallucinations, particularly when tired, stressed, or both.
[An overactive imagination, they said, in his youth!-]
…It was probably just stress! Having the sole weight of the society squarely on their shoulders was a painful experience, that grew more and more so as the days went on.)
Abstinence. Cutting themself off completely.
[From the one thing they had that relieved that stress…]
They glared at it. Blood red, and unactivated, sitting in their cabinet innocently, next to a dozen other poisons and chemicals.
(That was the cause of all the problems in his life. Not his actions. Not his repression. Not their preferences, or his presentation of themself. Not the life he chose for himself.
It was all that damned potion’s fault. They should’ve known it would’ve led to destruction!-
Sulphur was the Devil’s substance. Fire and brimstone, and burning in Hell for all eternity…)
[How dare they ever think sulphur would be their savior?-]
It got more and more ironic the more they thought about it.
How about that? From one death, quick and done with [Well, at the point it had gotten to…], to another type of death, slow and drawn out, and arguably worse.
With a physical death, they would die, and be done with it all.
(They tried to tell themself they weren’t afraid of Hell… {Ha!-}
Just another lie to add to the list, ever growing, and already so long they were shocked it didn’t trip him with every step!-)
But mental death? (A death in which they couldn’t tell himself from themself? A death where their [his?-] names became foreign, and familiar all at the same time?)
A death where their face was never their own?
That would be a fate worse than death!
(…Was it a fate they were succumbing to?-)
And so he heaped that damned potion with curses.
(All too familiar to the way they had heaped himself with curses. Calling himself deviant and sinful, unlovable, and something so hideous, they didn’t even have a name for it yet.
If he hated himself, hated those ugly horrible things about himself, they would stop, right?-
[Wrong!-]
…It never did!-)
[How funny!-]
That [Fucking!-] serum!
It split him into two countenances. The original, that shone with kindness and smiles, and a perfectly learned gentlemanly poise, and one dripping with evil and malice. (Sometimes he wishes it had split his mind too, just as he had intended! It would’ve made everything so much easier! Negated the need for this worthless downwards spiral!-)
A marvel of science and alchemy, they had thought, back when they were depressed and seeking something, anything, to help!
(It was a marvel of science that dissolved their very sense of self!-)
Who was real? Who was fake?
The Doctor, or the Person? The good, or the sinful?
(What was fake? What was real? What did that word even mean?!-)
[Was it real because they decided it was? Was it fake because no one else knew? (Was it fake because they refused to acknowledge it half of the time?-) Those thoughts and feelings, emotions and beliefs… Those ideas, so central to themself? Were they real? Fake?]
…..
Who even were they?-
{They had to admit that-}
…They didn’t know!-
They cackled to themself in the way Hyde did.
Tapped their foot on the ground restlessly, in the way Jekyll did.
(Some sort of Frankenstein’s monster of behaviors, actions, words, speaking styles!-)
They hummed absently, as their fingers drummed on their desk, lost in thought…
(Abstinence was for addicts.
…They weren’t addicted, were they?)
Abstinence was for people who had a problem. They had plenty of problems, but they were sure this wasn’t one of them.
It wasn’t!..
[…Why did they bother making excuses to themself? Especially such laughably bad ones?-]
So they drank the potion.
Donned their other skin, that was feeling less and less like a skin, and more and more like themself by the day.
(They could drown out identity problems with distractions. Pleasure, and fights, and adrenalin, and alcohol…
It had worked before! Why wouldn’t it now?-)

Looking for voice actors!
Ok so I've seen a few tgs fandubs/comic dubs and I've been wanting to do one for awhile so I thought I may aswell.
Looking for literally anyone who would want to voice act previous experience is not necessary this is all for fun of course but if you do have experience that's obviously fine too.
I'm currently just looking for characters from the first chapter. If anyone would prefer a character from later on that is fine too and would definitely make it alot easier.
Having a discord would be preferable as it'll be an easy way to coordinate things. Once we've got voice actors for atleast everyone from chapter 1 I'll set up a group on discord. Never done anything like this before so I'm quite excited (-Hyde)
(Taken: Jekyll, Hyde, Jasper, Rachel, Lanyon, Lavender, Elsie, Frankenstein, Lucy)

Hello, I love your artwork and your characterisation, the former is gorgeous and the latter is compelling. I was wondering what are the big regrets of the characters/what action/s of their haunt them the most.
Thank you! I had to think about it a bit but here are the biggest regrets for some of our crew members. Edward/Henry: really depends on what form he's in, Henry has a lot of regrets about the things Edward does but once he's Edward he's not really sorry anymore. There is one regret that's universal and that's how much he's lied to Utterson and hidden from him and causing Lanyon's death. Fucking up his best and only friendships will haunt him forever. Erik: regrets everything he's done to Christine, he's not really over her but he recognizes the hurt he caused and he actually does feel sorrow over hurting her. Adam: Regrets every life he's taken. Regrets pursuing Victor when he should have just given up and tried to make his own way. He struggles with vengeful urges and tries to resist them now but the deaths of William, Justine, Henry, Elizabeth and Victor weigh on him heavily and he'll always feel grief when he remembers them. Lawrence: regrets saving that woman from the werewolf, regrets not being nicer to his parents when he had them, regrets not telling them he loved them. He struggles every day to live with the knowledge that his first transformation cost him his entire family.
Selma: Regrets both of her marriages, even if she liked her second husband in the beginning, it wasn't enough, she was not made to be someone's wife and the relationship wasn't worth burying a stillborn child. She regrets walking out on him while he was still grieving and she regrets feeling conflicted about motherhood but even if she feels she didn't do the morally right thing she did the correct thing by disappearing.
Theo: Theo has days where she wishes Varney had let her perish because being a vampire brings her a lot of suffering but she can't really regret being alive. She does regret that she cut off what few friends and family after her turning, without giving them a chance to understand what happened, but she also feels she didn't have much choice in the matter. She regrets her moments of cowardice where she didn't step in to help someone who needed her because she was too afraid for herself.

I'm so excited to see Henry finally open up and communicate his feelings because oh my god has he done a ton of work to get to this point.
However, I am scared that Lanyon is not going to be emotionally prepared for such a big confession and might stonewall because he hates for people to see he has feelings. I don't think he has done the same level of growth yet to suddenly be okay acknowledging his own feelings.
I'm thinking if we do get the level of confession we're hoping for out of Henry, we'll only just be getting our toes wet with any Jekyon stuff because Lanyon has more development to do yet before he's ready to dive into any kind of relationship.

first of all merry chirmas second of all what the fuck
Tumblr media
OKAY I WAS HALF RIGHT IT WAS THE POLICE BUT THEY WEREN'T HERE BECAUSE THEY DETECTED GAY THANK GOODNESS
Imagine being Lanyon though...poor guy woke up thinking his boyfriend ditched him all over again and now has to deal with the polis at his door while still being butthurt over getting dumped. THE FACE IN THE FIRST PANEL SAYS IT ALL LIKE "jeezes brother why can't I be left alone to angst over my divorce"
Tumblr media
It's so funny seeing the people in the streets of London flocking to see some supernatural stuff when the rational thing to do would be to run in the opposite direction. However, Victorian London folk were not known for their rationality, so I'll let it slide.
And now Hyde had "summoner of eldritch god" tacked to the list of things he may have done. Honestly, impressive and I'm really jealous stuff like this can't just happen to me.
Tumblr media
You know, as much as I'm glad about the big gay not being the reason the police was here, this isn't much better. Lanyon doesn't even frequent the society, much less what actually goes on in that crazy place.
How do we expect this man to bullshit his way out again?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the last face definitely took me out, IT'S SO SIMILAR TO THAT PANEL OF JEKYLL LIKE WHA
except the eye twitch, he's so real for that and I love it

Guys wait- I just had a thought.
Idk if anyone has written a fanfic concerning this specifically, but I know a lot of people experiment with the idea of Lanyon, Rachel, Jasper, etc. taking the potion. I haven’t seen one quite the way I’m thinking, but like-
Okay, so you know how Lanyon said Jekyll had the most uncanny ability to compartmentalize his own mind? And we all are far too familiar with what exactly he meant by that. (Also him saying that it was almost like there were two Jekylls when they were together.)
What if the reason why the potion was so successful in splitting Jekyll’s soul was because of this ability in the first place? He had basically already done it mentally, but the potion completed it by separating them spiritually and created a means by which they were also separated physically.
So now I’m wondering realistically if someone else were to take the potion, just how successful would it actually be? Maybe I’m just being a slut for scary fanfics, but imagine that person becoming something otherworldly. Like if instead of separating, everything melted together, and it was super hard to tell where their surface persona starts and where their subconscious thoughts end. And in turn, their physical appearance becomes uncanny valley. Because, sure, they look human, but something is off and it’s hard to put your finger on exactly why looking at them puts a cold weight in your stomach.
Because again, Jekyll was already dividing the different parts of his brain before the experiment, so it was like sorting out a fruit bowl. There’s still the leftover flavor of pineapple on the grapes, but they are no longer mixed together in the same bowl.
But when you try to sort out the sugar from cake batter, it is incredibly difficult if it’s evenly mixed. And even if you do manage to isolate some grains of sugar, there’s still bound to be large traces of the batter. It becomes a frustratingly sticky mess where you were better off leaving the batter alone, but you didn’t and now the kitchen is a mess and the batter is ruined.
Am I making sense? Agh, I kinda want to read something like that now. All the angst one could fit into an au like that is too good. Cause in some way, it was Jekyll’s fault (left it out for some curious lodger, someone misinterpreted which vial he instructed them to consume, idk), and now he’s grappling with the realization that his potion isn’t a guaranteed divide and he’s rushing to find a cure, falling more apart every time he sees the person.

Hello! I'm the scar anon from before. I found your response to be quite enjoyable! Thank you for your input and for showing your unique view on my question, it was very enjoyable to read. I also appreciate the effort you put into writing so much, it was quite a welcome surprise to see.
I am here to ask another question! I am utmost curious to see what your view on body swapping is, more specifically body-swapping within the tgs version of jekyll and hyde. Not just jekyll and hyde swapping but jekyll and hyde body swapping with somebody else. I have seen a few fan-fictions, even a more recent one posted today which i definitely suggest others reading this post to check out, and I see many posts on this topic so I do know it isn't a less popular one than the discussion of shared scars but i still wanted to see your opinion on the matter. Personally I quite like the head-canon that when jekyll and hyde body swap with somebody else they swap over mentally but not physically. Meaning they still have the two minds but instead just have one body and the person they swapped with has the two bodies, being jekyll and hydes bodies, and one mind. I don't think it's something i've ever seen done before which is a bit sad, but i suppose they say if you want something done you should do it yourself so perhaps one day i shall write something on the subject.
Getting off-topic here, my bad. Back to the main subject of this question, I ask what your personal preference and overall view on body swap aus is?
Hello again! I'm glad my response last time was good enough! :D
Ah! Body swapping! I love that trope a lot in TGS for the unique takes you can get on it! I've seen it a few times and every time has been different and I can't wait to see what @aliens-took-my-iwa-chan's current fic (Called "That was NOT an aspirin" *cough cough for anyone who's interested in reading it*) on AO3 chooses to do! And Alien's fics have always been bangers in the past so it's certain to be good!
Your idea is very cool! Whoever swaps with them would certainly have a strange time with having two bodies suddenly! I wonder if they would change mentally at all between the two bodies - either just because of the adrenaline that Hyde's body comes with or just because of the freedom to do anything that Hyde's reputation offers?
And I wonder what it would be like for Jekyll and Hyde to be smooshed together into a single body? Would they switch mentally between each other or would it be more like an awkward mental fusion? If you do ever write that, I would love to read it, I would be very interested to see how that ends up working and what it's like for everyone involved!!!
Besides Alien's fic, there's also @perception-of-deception's Hyde and Seek au as seen in posts here
https://www.tumblr.com/perception-of-deception/661585820002713600/hyde-and-seek-au-while-lanyon-is-wrestling-hyde?source=share
and here
https://www.tumblr.com/perception-of-deception/661595109767495680/well-quilna-yes-robert-seeing-henry-would-call?source=share
which is an incredibly fun concept where Lanyon specifically body swaps with Hyde. Not specifically the body but literally Hyde's place in Jekyll's mind which is a very fun idea indeed because Lanyon's now the ghostly voice haunting Jekyll. It's a good demonstration of how unique you can get with body swaps in TGS given that there's two physical bodies but three people. Any body swap that makes use of that fact is always an instant favourite for me.
In a less public place, an RP I'm in with the wonderful @mediaeoflycan has been planning a sort-of body swap (more like mind swap) arc for a while now where Hyde gets swapped to Lanyon's head but, because he's Jekyll's internal bad thoughts and all that, he switches personalities a bit to become Lanyon's internal voice instead. His mockeries start to hit a little closer to Lanyon's insecurities instead of Jekyll's. Meanwhile, Jekyll who is lacking a whole half of himself, ends up a lot more numb and empty until the problem can be fixed.
One can also have a body swap where Jekyll swaps bodies with someone but Hyde stays with the body, meaning the other person now gets Hyde's voice in their head (probably much to their bewilderment and terror) and Jekyll gets his freedom for a while. Jekyll will definitely need to explain to the other person why they're now hallucinating Hyde (and probably a dozen other horrifying monsters too), why they're suddenly so sleep deprived, and maybe why Hyde can take over their body sometimes or, worse, literally make them change shape into Hyde himself.
Speaking of shapeshifting, I've seen people question several times what a transformation might look like if people swap bodies and whether it would be different at all or not. For example, if Hyde is in someone else's body, would they have a full transformation or some sort of half transformation where they get blonde curls and green eyes? Or would they get a completely new transformation to reflect their own 'inner evil'?
Anyway, for personal preferences, as I said, I love anything that makes use of the three minds so body swaps where someone else either lands as unhappy roommates with Hyde or where that person ends up becoming the ghostly figure in either Jekyll or Hyde's head. Besides making use of the medium very well, I just love imagining the reaction of that person when they find that their body swap has come with bonus unwanted side effects and the reaction from Jekyll when he realises that someone else is in the middle of experiencing his deepest darkest secret in full high definition. No lying your way out of that one.

I've just noticed something
"Come here a moment....Now you see what I mean, Spud. It would never have done, would it? Well, goodbye." "But when can we--" "Goodbye." "After a moment Laurie said, "Goodbye, Lanyon. Good luck." "I don't believe in luck," said Lanyon as they parted."
As they parted. But Laurie is in Lanyon's study. Why doesn't it just say 'as he left'? Parted. As in separated.
Thoughts please.....

I am very interested in this... Nerdy Prudes Must Die au. I do not know anything about Nerdy Prudes Must Die but I am extremely intrigued and it has definitely caught my eye. Do you have any more information or little funfacts about it that you'd be willing to share? My main question and point of curiosity is wondering why tgs j&h would have to be seperate in this universe. Personally i don't like aus that seperate them, but hearing about why the seperation was done in the au is always fun.
Hi! I heard one of the npmd songs and wanted to draw the TGS characters to it which is what stated this entire au. Tbh I don't know how much lore I'm going to make for this, I just like drawing things for it lol. But two characters from the play are similar to Jekyll and Lanyon's relationship; popular kid gets tutored by shy nerd and they end up getting into a relationship. The reason why Jekyll and Hyde are separate in this is because there's no character that can fit both of them together. Plus I thought it would be kind of funny to make Hydes character this evil all-powerful godlike entity that likes to mess with people. I already chose Jekyll's character which does have something to do with Hyde's godlike entity characters but it's doesn't involve them being the same person. A lot of the characters aren't developed yet though. Like I have no idea who Rachel, Jasper, Frankenstein, ect. are going to be yet. It's still a huge work in progress 😅 But if you haven't seen npmd, I recommend watching it! It's very funny and the songs are really good! And thanks for the ask, I hope I answered things well
