wait hold on i can’t tell if this is a big brain thought or not. but like. ino’s whole thing was that she had to beat sakura, right. including “in love,” as asuma said.

but what would have been the BIGGEST victory for ino over sakura in matters of romance? not if she had gotten sasuke instead. i don’t even think it’s anything that could be said about the fact that ino’s husband is around more often than sakura’s.

i think the biggest victory for ino over sakura would have been if she ended up with rock lee. she’d have a devoted and supportive husband, happy marriage, an adorable kid (with a little blonde bowl cut until the time skip when they have a grown out ponytail), on top of her great job and friends. everything she has now, but also everything sakura very much could have had if she hadn’t had tunnel vision on sasuke. lee was down bad for sakura from day one. he wanted to dote and give all kinds of love and attention, which sakura rejected, but also which ino openly wanted all along. (not from him, but there’s always room for character development.)

[i don’t hate sai or inojin, or legitimately ship this, or think ino or sakura are miserable in canon, or want to open the floor for any character bashing or ship wars. this was just a media analysis.]

Oh!! What if Lee grows Vegetables and Fruits, and uses the vegetables to make dishes for Ino, and the fruits to make Fruit salads and desserts!

And shows Gai his giant sunflower also named Gai!

There's a little patch of dirt no one uses outside of the Jonin apartments that Lee gets permission to use. Immediately he starts growing some nice fruits and vegetables. Lettuce, strawberries, raspberries. Anything he thinks would be useful and would make for a nice addition to meals. The first time he has the chance to pick some of the vegetables and make them into a meal, he decides to cook Ino a nice lunch for their break at the flower shop.

She's touched by the gesture, and the meal is delicious. Lee really proves himself to be great at growing some spectacular vegetables and as a great cook. She especially enjoys the fruit salad he brought for dessert. It's just sweet enough without being overpowering.

there will definitely be repeat lunch hours like this. Lee is ecstatic to know that Ino enjoys his cooking and when she asks him if he would show her his garden one day he's more than happy to. It ends up being their first official date together, and Ino can't believe the amount of work he has put in to making what was once such an empty baron space a beautiful garden.

Gai's proud of Lee's sunflower. It's much bigger than the little one he keeps in his bedroom, and so beautiful. And to know it's named after him in such a cheesy way make's him cry happy tears as he's hugging Lee hard enough that any other human would snap in half

I think they would be absolutely perfect together for a few reasons their child would be pretty Powerful it would make up for what both parents lack Ino is arguably lacking in Taijustsu while Rock Lee has no ninjutsu at all which is an area Ino is arguably highly proficient in.And I also wish their child would be a girl and her rival should be Sarada.

(2) their child and sarada’s rivalry would almost be a rebirth and very reminiscent of gai Kakashi and Sakura Ino. Also rock lee has always loved Sakura so why not put lee together with someone who is kind of a lot like Sakura in terms of beauty and personality. . What do you think maddy? I know you don’t ship anything that goes against canon ships but what are your thoughts had this ship become canon even with the little development saiino got would you be ok with with this couple?

Well, I wouldn’t have particularly been okay with it, because I’m a huge fan of SaiIno, but in all fairness, I became a huge fan of it after the ending. So if it had ended with Lee and Ino, I’m not sure how I would have felt about it.

I heard someone say Lee having a very amazing green thumb, and ends up using that skill for good. Plants hard to grow flowers, and months later, first try has beautifully healthy, blooming flowers.

Lee applies for a job at Ino's flower shop, and end up bonding over plants. Lee's prized possession plant is a 8 foot tall sunflower named " Gai-sama " because

Ok this is a cute Idea. Ino's a little overwhelmed by Lee's energy at first, but he's a hard worker and loves to learn. The two of them can spend hours just chatting about flowers.

well, Ino's chatting and Lee is listening intently to every word she has to say. By the end of their shift, they have spent the entire time chatting. Ino never realized how easy it was to talk to Lee until they started working at the flower shop together.

He's not the best at organizing the flowers into bouquets, but his green thumb is amazing. The potted plants grow wonderfully under his care, and he's always so excited when someone decides to buy one of them. He even make's little notes for each of them that explain what kind of care they need, and have little stories about each of the flowers/plants. Ino thinks it's adorable and likes to read the notes when she can.

Random thoughts...

Maybe:

Hinata was introduced as a weakling and promptly known that Hanabi would lead the Hyuga clan is that she could end up with Naruto. She can leave the clan any time with no problem.

Sakura doesn't have a Kekkei Genkai because if she ends up with Sasuke, the sharingan will still be pure. The same goes with Tenten with Neji and the Byakugan.

Sai doesn't have a known last name because if he ends up with Ino, he can take the Yamanaka name. And there will still be a chance for a third Ino-Shika-Cho.

Lee has a crush on Sakura because he's a parallel to Ino who likes Sasuke. And if Sakura and Sasuke do end up together, Lee and Ino might find comfort with each other.

Just some random thoughts that sucks for me because none of the pairings above are my OTP except for NejiTen T_T Maybe I should think up of reasons why my OTPs should end up together instead of promoting their rival ships...
