I was thinking about Emma and the guilt that Cheng Xiaoshi has for changing things that might have led to her death and the way he meddled into it and I think him sending the text to her parents and changing the past several times is not the reason for her death, it just meant she was killed differently than what was planned. Liu Min already had her as a target. He was planning on having Li Tianchen killing her.
The way it happened was different because of Cheng Xiaoshi but she was still the target of a serial killer regardless of Cheng Xiaoshi's meddling.
Liu Min was already planning to kill her, she was on the list of victims anyway. The way they went about it was different because Cheng Xiaoshi meddled but they were planning to kill her anyway.
And fun fact: I just realized Li Tianchen is controlling Emma in the present (as we established that he can't go back in time even with his sister) so while Cheng Xiaoshi got the memo that team red eyes existed and could control people right before Lu Guang got stabbed at the end of season 1, timeline wise,Li Tianchen was aware from the beginning of season 1 that someone else had abilities like them and probably couldn't find Cheng Xiaoshi until they got involved with the police.
Which made me think ... how did Li Tianchen and Xixi actually control Liu Min and Qiao Ling at the same time ? Or are we meant to think they didn't really happen at the same time ? They used the photos one after the other ?

Lu Guang is a hypocrite and that’s okay (great even)
Tumblr media
I must stand ten toes for this man because I’m noticing the slander that went on in September and I cannot allow it. I know I’m six months late but just bear with me. We are introduced to Lu Guang as a rational, stoic, sort of wise protagonist. The brains of the operation if you will (although Cheng is clever in his own right but that’s a whole other discussion). Qiao Ling and Captain Xiao describe him as more mature. Shiguang’s relationship is strong but it’s structured, especially for their work, to where Cheng has to depend on Lu Guang. Should only do as he says and not do anything impulsive.
And it gets to a point where Cheng doesn’t know what to do without him and when LG isn’t there he relies on his past words to guide him. The thing is, we’ve seen that CXS can come up with great plans and make good decisions without Lu Guang’s voice in his head. Like how he caught Min Liu or planning how save Lu Guang from Li Tianchen. But the story has built LG up so much to be a reliable character so it can’t be untrue. But then the s2 finale happens, Cheng gets shot and Lu Guang loses his mind.
Tumblr media
And then the ending basically tells you that he’s been winging it and gambling this whole time. Experimenting with god knows how many timelines, simply using his knowledge from the previous one to see if he’ll get lucky this time. Lu Guang has been playing a crane game. So in a story that is all about mistakes, guilt and regrets. Of showing the imperfections of people. Of showing the struggles of moving forward, of being satisfied with the present. Of sacrificing your sanity, your voice, your desires, and happiness for the people you love. How is this bad writing?
Link click has been tricking the audience to believe Lu Guang is an infallible character.
But Link Click was never about perfect people.
What he’s trying to do is no different from Li Tianchen, one of our antagonists. And I love CXS to fucking pieces but this show raises the question of a life’s value. LG is trying to save Cheng and so refuses to change the past for anyone else. Bc it may alter things and doom CXS in the process and ruin all he’s worked towards. But then you ask yourself, is CXS’s life worth more than the twins' mother? Is it worth more than Chen’s mother? Is it worth more than Emma?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It doesn’t matter because it is to Lu Guang. It’s like the question if your sibling and a mailman are trapped in a burning building but you can only try to save one. Unless they’re the absolute scum of the earth, chances are and possibly even despite that, you’re going to pick your sibling. That don’t mean it’s objectively more valuable than the mailman or you didn’t have sympathy for that person, they have loved ones, hopes and joys too. “Lu Guang is a hypocrite, selfish, unreliable, and a liar” yes he is. Because there is something called ‘flawed characters’. It’s okay for your protagonist to not be the best person. It’s okay to write a protagonist whose trauma has defined some of their actions.
If you’ve been forced to have someone you love die in your arms over and over, why is it surprising that you would lie to them? How is it surprising that you’d try to keep secrets? That you’d set things up to be in a position to control the situation? That’ll force you to plan better so maybe, just maybe things will be different? You think Lu Guang lacks self awareness and doesn’t know what this makes him? Of all things you can call LG, he’s not delusional. He knows the weight of his actions.
Link Click has and always will be a story about people. Where our emotions and choices take us. Lu Guang isn’t a robot so why would he be an exception?
Plus everyone should’ve been knew Lu Guang was sus anyway. Idk how that’s mischaracterization, there’s proof of him lying and keeping secrets from CXS in s1. It doesn’t ruin anything it recontextualizes what we were shown back then.

Link Click s2e9/e10
Date of the post: 09-01-2023 Okay, I watched this episode a couple of times, another post-episode post where I’m trying to gather my thoughts. SPOILERS FOR S2E9 AND E10 1. Probably missing scene I am 99% sure that we are not done with the “from the hospital to the pier” scene, I will believe until the last moment that this is a hoax. Chen Xiaoshi will run into the red light, and in fact, I think there is one missing scene at this point.
Tumblr media
Some time ago, a small draft was published, where one of the characters ran across the road and barely dodged a moving car. Soo, I think it was here. If this remains in the final version, of course, we'll definitely come back to it (source). Just my speculation.
Tumblr media
Yes, Xiaoshi was just impossibly lucky (lmao) to escape from the hospital, but we are still left with three unclear details:
upside down phone
the kettle in chronology 1
damn boat! This part of the plot is still the most confusing thing for me. What was the point of giving Lu Guang away the first time? What was the point of creating a time loop? Why he still ended up with Lu Guang (as it seems) in the scene of Romeo and Juliet? I'm pretty patient with this, just curious.
2. Abilities. I think we got a hint about how the twins' powers work. Previously, I assumed that the limitation of Li Tianchen's control abilities was like this: that he could only act in the evening, night and early morning (somewhere in between), since all the kills and uses of his abilities did not occur during the day. Now perhaps we have our answer? Based on the history of the foxes, it is likely that the time of using his abilities is tied to his sister's "sleeping time". Because when she was sleeping, her brother went for "hunting". Moreover, such a focus is on his “paws” and pats.
Tumblr media
3. Change of events - Qian Jin and twins The way twins met Qian Jin is SO different. I actually kinda think, that that one of the variants of events is the already fucked up past through the present. s2e9:
Tumblr media
s2e8:
Tumblr media
It seems to me that the difference in these events is obvious. Both the moment itself and the details. Li Tianchen's backpack on his back, blood on Li Tianxi's dress. Everything went differently.
Alternate realities went brrrrr? The scene from the episode is an attempt to change events, where instead of Qian Jin it is actually Cheng Xiaoshi? I have no idea. 4. Hi, hatman! Friendly reminder: it's just my guessing. At the moment it seems to me that if there is no trolling here, the boy from the flashbacks and the hunter from the fairy tale are the same character. Clearly. We know that his last name is Liu, and Liu Min himself has a younger brother, Liu Xiao, so yeah- Сan't wait for him to return from overseas and be part of a real scene.
Tumblr media
In fact, I really love that Li Tianchen hoped throughout his expression that Liu Min is Liu Xiao (whether he realizes that these are different people is still unclear)
Tumblr media
Considering the announcement of Neo Aurora, it seems that we will see Liu Xiao's real appearance and design in the near future, I'm shaking. I have so many stupid jokes about him! 6. Liu Min I guess the woman they were discussing at the beginning was someone else? Since Liu Min can still able to move his legs and even can stand up.
Tumblr media
I can conclude that Emma was not the first victim of this “alliance.” So it's hard to say how many people were actually killed, definitely not 8, much more. At least that's what it seems to me. Idk, I'm just having fun, as always. Feel free to discuss. Thanks for reading ~

Link Click Season Two Episode 3: Two Funerals
Tumblr media
After the initial two episode fare of this season, episode three certainly feels like it slows things down. Which is not a bad thing. It gives the story time to establish itself, to provide mystery and unspoken curiosities to the world, to allow for exploration of the new characters and their roles in the story, and it gives Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi time to work their magic. So certainly quite a bit to chat about with this episode!
I think the first thing that really tickles my brain is the oddities of the production for Link Click. Not that it's a bad thing, but that it's just decidedly different when compared to anime. Stuff like the letterboxing and the camera movement leave it very telling that this is a donghua rather than an anime. Bit hard to explain over words, but check out this panning shot. Feels.... wrong, right? Well, that's because of how it's shot. The way that the pan stops during the scene is different than what you'd normally see with anime, which continue the pan right to the end typically (or at the very least have it slow down before coming to a stop).
Tumblr media
Similarly, the production vastly prefers depth to breadth, which is an interesting idea. Considering the share of horizontal to vertical space, you might have thought the latter, but instead they choose the former. Detail doesn't come from side to side, rather it likes to appear from front to back. Take this layout for example.
Typically, if you're operating on breadth instead of depth, you'd be more inclined to place the focus (the older characters in track suits on the right) towards the center of the frame, while placing the supporting characters and details on either side of them. Focusing on depth first however allows for far more different shots that feel more grounded in 3-dimensional space.
Tumblr media
Anyways, the episode itself. We start with the older characters and/or masters of Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi waiting around in a hospital. Nothing too special, just establishing their characters and why they showed up to help Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi. Though I have to admit, some of the pieces through their short time here are comical as they have a run in with an incredibly drunk person.
Tumblr media
Of course, the trio of elderly leave this hospital and arrive at Lu Guang's (in style, obviously) to take on the mob that has surrounded Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi. I was really looking forward to some crazy action, but I also wasn't surprised when they kept things simple and skipped most of it. They gave two crazy action sequences back to back, so I think they can afford a bit of a break. Still, they delivered some cool and interesting sequences and a fun impact frame or two.
Also, fun little detail here. During this sequence, and before the impact frames, the father of the other two actually disappears in frame for a brief second. Fun little bit to give to people paying close attention.
Tumblr media
Also also, this gif provides an excellent example of that depth-first approach for the production. Rather than the left to right or vice versa you might usually see, they place the camera at an arbitrary spot in 3D space, and have the mob of characters run through the camera. Pieces like this really help establish Link Click's visual style.
Tumblr media
A similar example can be found in a follow-up scene of Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi after the fight. It really does look good, it's just that it might take a bit to get used to because of the letterboxing. Certainly makes me curious about the choice for it to be a consistent visual restraint considering how much they might be able to accomplish with a full scene.
Tumblr media
I haven't really talked about the story, have I? Well, up until this point it hasn't been anything super crazy, truthfully. The bad guys got beat up and are being interrogated, and Xiao Li comes to apologize to Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi. There's nothing crazy or important yet. That is, until Liu Min's father and entourage show up and butt heads with our current trio.
Tumblr media
The back and forth is more performative than substantive, but Qian Jin's interactions are most certainly the focal point. Establishing his prior history as a police officer, and the past that he shares with Xiao Li, an odd rivalry brews between him and Cheng Xiaoshi.
Tumblr media
It makes you really curious as to what led Qian Jin to his current station in life, and what it was that happened in this flashback we're shown by Xiao Li.
Anyways, the arguments come and go, and Qiao Ling ends it all with an incredibly satisfying slap that gets the first reaction out of Qian Jin in the whole conversation.
Tumblr media
It's an incredibly subtle difference, but his default grin does widen a bit after the interaction. I think it adds a good deal to the sort of slimy and snake-like personality that Qian Jin wields so far. Very curious to see how his role plays out given that his lackey is being detained.
Tumblr media
We move forward, and into Chen Bin's funeral. They do well with it as an emotional moment and bring out the best in Chen's now-widow to help give Cheng Xiaoshi the push he needs to solidify his desire to go back and prevent Chen Bin's death. I do think the emotional beat is well done, it's just that I'm not really one to be "all-in" on this sort of stuff myself, so I don't have too many words to say about it.
What I do have words to say about though is how Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang interact as the latter goes back in time. Also, just more of that whole Black and White/Ying and Yang theme here.
Tumblr media
Anyways, the biggest thing is how Cheng Xiaoshi asks Lu Guang for his help. He says that he wants to help the pair, which appeals to Lu Guang through the guilt they share for being the cause of Chen Bin's death. It's a great moment that establishes the hesitation the pair have in the use of their powers currently, and their overall intent in their reasoning for using them. A solid shift from their original purpose through season 1, though of course the natural conclusion of their experiences with it anyways.
Tumblr media
Of course, we end the episode on a cliffhanger though. That red-eyed guest from the prior episode? They didn't come to take over Lu Guang, they came to deliver a picture. Are they the same person that inhabited Qiao Ling at the end of S1/start of S2? It's hard to say, but the idea of the red eyes does beg quite the question.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The back of the photo is even more interesting when you know what it says. "Don't Die, Good Brother". Specifically "Gege" which is elder brother. Together with the drawing on the back of the young girl in the photo with an older brother, does it really mean what viewers might think it does? Is Lu Guang related to this pink haired girl somehow? Does she expect him and Cheng Xiaoshi to use the photo and learn something from it?
A far more intriguing ending than the episode itself might let on, this third episode works very hard to slow things down and draw them out so that viewers can have time to get attached to and understand the stories and characters that appear within. Of course, the quality is still way up there in terms of animation and direction, so it seems overall we've settled in for the long haul with a long term story compared to the more episodic approach of season 1. Really interested to see what they do with more time.

Can't refind the post in the tag, but I remember a few days back there was a question about Xu Shanshan and whether she originally died or not. My kneejerk reaction was that she didn't simply because there wasn't the focus you'd expect for them changing what you'd think would be a major node. However, I was only able to figure out what I think *actually* happened here now, several days after the fact.
The main issue is that Lu Guang lost connection with Xu Shanshan. We know he can maintain a connection when someone is unconscious (as Cheng Xiaoshi demonstrated both with Emma and Doudou), he just can't see anything until they awaken. So, initially, I thought perhaps XSS was just knocked out past the end of the twelve hours. And tbf, I don't think that can be entirely discarded. But I think it's much less likely now we have certain knowledge from season two and if we pay attention to Lu Guang's wording (translations, don't fail me now).
Lu Guang says he *lost the connection* with XSS and that's why he presumed the worst. In s1, we haven't seen this happen before. But we do see something similar in season two. When Lu Guang tries to read Li Tianxi's photo, he struggles and isn't able to see far enough to guide CXS before he dives. He put it down to his injuries at the time, but looking at the context of the dive, where CXS faced disruption (eventually being kicked out entirely) and at one point was unable to communicate with LG, it seems likely his struggle was more to do with the twins' powers not playing well with his own instead.
So, my suggestion is that the solution to this s1 dilemma is found in s2. Lu Guang losing connection with XSS was as a result of her interacting with the twins. This could be through a number of different routes:
Through interaction with possessed Liu Min (bit of a stretch but tbf even in the twin dive the disruption is kinda inconsistent in terms of which powers are being affected and whom by);
If she was taken to Li Tianchen directly when hidden away;
If LTC switched his possession to XSS once he decided to hide her away (using the very prominently displayed public photo of XSS in the newspaper).

Warning: Spoilers for Link Click seasons 1 and 2
Edit (Apr.21, 2024): This theory is now outdated.
Link Click theory: What if more than one person can possess the same body at the same time?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I’m not the one who wanted to kill them. I’m just an agent.” “I was the one who killed those people… Besides, there’s no one in this world that can catch me.”
I initially thought that Red-eyes’ words here meant that it was actually Liu Min who wanted those people dead and that they were just the executor… And when “Liu Min” admitted to being the one who killed those people, in the last picture, you can clearly see that his eyes are red, which means that it was still Red-eyes in control.
But what if, instead of Red-eyes referring to Liu Min as the one wanting those people dead, they were actually referring to someone else? Someone who was also possessing Liu Min at that time but just wasn’t in the wheel at the moment.
Let’s call this person who wants people dead as Red-eyes #1, and the one who does the actual killing as Red-eyes #2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Killing innocent people? I’d never do something so worthless.”
I mean, just a while ago, “Liu Min” said that they’d never do something as worthless as killing innocent people. Perhaps they’re saying those people aren’t innocent and that’s why it’s not worth killing them, but what if… the one speaking here is actually Red-eyes #1. Red-eyes #1 didn’t kill them; they don’t find them worth killing. It was Red-eyes #2 who did all that.
Another scene that makes me think there could be two people with the ability to possess is this scene from S02E01:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“But you can’t fool her!”
The subtitles have translated it as “her,” but we don’t really know if it says “her” for sure. She/Her (她) and He/Him (他) sound the same in Chinese (tā).
But language aside, who is “her/him” even referring to?
Edit: Apparently, the Chinese subs on Bilibili really say “her.”
Right after this scene, we have “Qiao Ling” try to stab herself. When I first watched this episode, I thought the “her” was referring to Qiao Ling. “You can’t fool her” would then mean that Cheng Xiaoshi would definitely try to save Qiao Ling, thereby exposing that he can’t teleport at all.
But then comes S02E06:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We have a flashback of the “You can’t fool her” scene, followed by Cheng Xiaoshi thinking, “I still don’t know what ability she used to see through my lies.”
What ability? Wasn’t “Qiao Ling” just too smart? But Cheng Xiaoshi doesn’t think so… which brings us back to the question, who is “her”?
The last thing that really seals my theory is this:
Tumblr media
People have theorized that while Cheng Xiaoshi was in Tianxi’s body, Tianxi herself had gone to possess Liu Lan, and by doing so, unknowingly brought Cheng Xiaoshi along with her.
Although I find it hard to believe that a young Tianxi could dare raise a hammer at her father, this explanation does make a lot of sense.
And so...
Two people really can possess the same body at the same time.
And it so happens we have twins in this story—which, in fiction, often hold similar/matching abilities. And maybe one or both of them have another ability aside from possession (like telling truth from lies). Even Lu Guang has two abilities (seeing and recording), so I don’t see why others can’t have more than one.

More Link Click thoughts because I simply -can not- focus on anything else. I'm just blurting ideas that might be relevant to the overarching serial murder mystery for documentation purposes and to help with group thinking! Spoilers below. Watch me bungle this investigation.
(Written between s2 episodes 8 and 9 and almost everything is wrong lol)
Tumblr media
Fox sibling story: Two fox siblings. Two mocking crows. The fox brother kills one crow, and won't stop chasing the other. If the Li twins are the foxes, what characters symbolize the crows? We'll likely be told next episode, but I'm thinking ahead of known pairs. (Chen Bin and and Xiao Li; Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi..... Some of the victims we know of have had a "partner" who cared about their loss. Emma didn't though...)
The missing file in the serial murders case from s1: I don't think it was ever brought up again or resolved? Emma's file is labeled "victim 001." The last file we see is 008. The file for the 7th victim is missing. Why? Who took it? Chen Bin? Why was Chen Bin "framed" with the money? He may be dead, but it's definitely not the last we've seen of him.
"Red eyes’”confession in s1e11: "I'm not the one who wanted to kill them. I'm just an agent" ... "Hatred, jealousy, or maybe anger? Whatever. As long as I have fun." Tracks as Li TianChen, who has become more than a bit unhinged. Leading to...
Qian Jin becoming a lawyer as a means of finding people with intense grudges who would desire an assassin. Mirroring the time trio's business of diving into the past to resolve a problem, Qian Jin/"Red Eyes" might offer diving to kill. A means to get revenge when the law fails you. Seems pretty lax on the details though.
Yes, I'm referring to "Red Eyes" in quotes because I'm not convinced "Red Eyes" is Li TianChen alone, unless someone does have the skill to collect abilities. We see LTC affecting others through touch. We also have "Red Eyes’”confession guiding us to believe the occupant is LTC. But there is no evidence against LTC being given that information by another, or sharing a mental connection with the other "Red Eyes."
If Li Tianchen is touching the diver, can he guide them like LG guides CXS? IF Li Tianxi can dive into photographs, then could Li Tianchen control her through touch? (oh, I hate that thought, but Li Tianxi wouldn't remember, would she?)
Why was a photograph sent to Liu Lan from Xu Shanshan's phone? Who has Liu Lan's phone? Qian Jin? the twins? did Liu Min? Is this a connection to the disappearance of Liu Min's phone?
Could Liu Min and Liu Lan be blood related? Probably not, given how common the Liu surname is (apparently it used to mean “kill”, fun fact) It's used in the series multiple times. But I’m not tossing it out.
Honorable mention: the mystery of CXS's missing family (technically brought up first thing in s1e1) that we definitely don't talk enough about given the running theme of "family/parents and their children" in this show. I feel it’s too late in this season for them to be relevant, but who knows? Still missing part of that picture. Missing all the pictures, actually. (No, really, does CXS have any photos of his parents. I need to know.)

List of the questions we had this season
After episode 8, I made a list of questions we had this season (you can find it HERE if you want to check it out) and I figured I would return to it at the end of it to see if they did answer and.... I'm going to break it down and see what questions are left to answer after season 2
Here are the list of questions we had after episode 8 and how they answered them:
Who gave Lu Guang the photo and wrote “save my good brother” in childish letters ?
Li Tianxi wrote "save my good brother" and Li TIanchen gave the photo to Lu Guang.
How does Red eye’s power work ? Is there more than one person being Red eyes ?
Red eyes was mostly Li Tianchen with Li Tianxi's help. Li Tianxi can see a person's memories and feeling through photo and Li Tianchen can control them by touch, if they work together, they can control someone through photos in the present, they can't go back in time like Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang though.
Does Li Tianxi has powers ?
Yes, she did.
Who killed Liu Lan, who was possessing her when she finally defended herself and what happened before the end of the night ?
We got so much answers in the last episode. The husband killed her by stabbing her and she was possesed by LI Tianchen because he wanted her to defend herself, making the whole thing even more tragic.
What is the end of the fox story and what is the significance of said fox story for the plot ?
Well... The fox story was just Li Tianchen and Li Tianxi's story so technically it only ended for one of them, "she returned home" by dying (we think ? is she confirmed dead ?)
What happened during the investigation of his wife’s murder to make Qian Jin so resentful and so okay with killing his ex-colleagues ?
I was so sure this was going somewhere. turn out I asked the wrong question. The question I should have asked was, what happened to his wife ? He killed her after he assumed she was cheating because this guy was genuinely the worst and he was okay with killing his ex-colleagues because he is just awful.
Who is the unnamed friend ?
Hat guy, Yay.
Which leads me to who is hat guy ?
Liu Xiao, Liu Min's younger brother.
What was the vision of Cheng Xiaoshi dying in Lu Guang’s arms ?
Well... We had that answered.
Lu Guang is from the future and is actively trying to change it and that was his memories (or did change it and is now living in the changed present, a bit unclear ?)
All of this options means another question, what are Lu Guang’s power actually ?
That we don't really have the answer. He clearly had, at some point, Cheng Xiaoshi's powers but considering we think Qiao Ling just got Li Tianxi's power after she died, it is pretty likely that the original power belonged to Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang got them after he got shot and died in the first timeline and his original power where seeing 12 hours in the past with a photo.
What else is he hiding from us and Cheng Xiaoshi ?
Well.. a lot, see above answer. Let's just say he is a teeni tiny bit of an hypocrite who couldn't deal with Cheng Xiaoshi's death and went back in time to save him.
Who saved Cheng Xiaoshi the first time ?
Who knows ? Not that important in the grand scheme of things actually. I think now it was always Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang's intent was to always sacrifice himself anyway.
Was the phone and the photo for Cheng Xiaoshi or was it a way for Lu Guang to see what happen in the next 12 hours (or both) ?
I think it was for Cheng Xiaoshi, Not really answered though.
Are the numbers of the code significant ?
They are. The time and date of Cheng Xiaoshi's death. Lu Guang really is out there torturing himself by putting that on his phone so that he can see it everyday.
What are the significance of the other objects in the opening ?
The gun was both a foreshadowing of the last episode and it is what killed Cheng Xiaoshi in the first timeline.
The diary... I don't really know, maybe I'm forgetting something.
What is the significance of the entire opening actually ?
Well...foreshadowing that big twist at the end of episode 12.
Leftover question from season 1
What happened to Cheng Xiaoshi’s parents ?
We still don't know
What happened during that summer vacation ? Can we have more information on this ?
Well that's not answered yet but considering the date on the phone was in early (ish) september, it is possible this is when Cheng Xiaoshi died the first time.
Here is some unanswered questions left after episode 12:
How, when, where Cheng Xiaoshi died and who killed him in the first place ?
It was hat man in the study with the chandelier. I think it's been pretty much confirmed that he was killed with a gun and I think he died during the summer vacation (but that's just a theory as far as we know) and we have no idea who killed him in the first place and why.
Did Lu Guang save Cheng Xiaoshi from death several times ?
I got the impression he did it once and just continued living with him in that reality but timeline shenanigans could still be at play here.
How will Cheng Xiaoshi react to the twist ?
Probably very badly.I hate to say this. I have a bad feeling that would make him very furious (I mean that's fair I think) and he might get dangerously reckless/sacrificial ? (how do you deal with living a life you were never supposed to be living because you are supposed to be dead)
Did Qiao Ling actually get Li Tianxi's powers ?
I want her to get them. I think she did.
Is Qiao Ling going to be the one figuring out what Lu Guang's vision is and what she saw ?
Yes more proactive Qiao Ling. Gimme it.
Is Li Tianxi even dead ?
I mean she was shot and looked pretty dead to me but they didn't really confirm it.
What does Hat man want (I know he has a name but hat man is funnier) ?
Is he going to target Cheng Xiaoshi because he is supposed to be dead ? Is this what happening ?
And the biggest mystery of them all...How did Xiao Li get a promotion when he is terrible at his job and one of the civilian who was under his supervision got killed under his watch and two others got kidnapped, tortured and/or shot ?
Like How ?

Not just me who started having heart palpitations every time llh and sgd talked post reveal right. Like they have so much history together that's insane but their actors rlly bring their twisted dynamic to life TT. Like when llh started crying??? The llh??? I had to pause and pace around then smth happened again and that's how I watched their scenes. Just pausing every min or so to stare off into space. They were so foul for that. Like. Hello??? Idk it rlly gets me bc llh rlly did wholeheartedly love him...n like I'm not done w the series yet but I do think at some pt sgd did love him too bc they were all the other had for a while. Need to go lie down now.
they made me SO sad actually. like okay, me being an only child probably affects the extent of their impact on me but their relationship is so tragic because it only becomes so in periphery when the chance to change anything already slipped through both their grasp. li lianhua really did care about shan gudao and never realized anything was wrong until everything he'd given with love was thrown back in his face. finding shan gudao's corpse and learning what happened to him was the last objective he had for himself before he intended to let himself pass on. and for what? and for what, shan gudao? i will admit, shan gudao seems a little two-dimensional in the present day to me but my god does cheng yi's performance sell it. i also did have to pause a couple times throughout their interactions to either process or just grab a tissue. i can't think about them too hard actually
on an adjacent note though, i utterly and completely adore fang duobing because he's there to catch li lianhua when shan gudao breaks him. because here's this long history li lianhua has with this man, one of the most significant relationships in his life, all turning to smoke and mirrors before his eyes. but fang duobing looks shan gudao dead in the eyes and rejects him every single time he tries to appeal to the bond of blood between them. and he never wavers on that, not once. where li lianhua is questioning all his loyalty to this man, that man's own son is telling him that A. he knows exactly where he stands and B. it's always, always with li lianhua. okay i'll stop rambling now but i am just full of emotions
