Follow @designspodium Umbau eines 60er-Jahre Wohnblocks von @tegnestuenlokal in Kopenhagen Frederiksberg Das Kopenhagener Büro Tegnestuen Lokal schlug für die Sanierung des funktionalistischen Plattenbaus aus den 1960er Jahren einen radikalen Umbau der Fassade vor. Mit dem Ergebnis, nicht nur die Gebäudeansicht zur vielbefahrenen Straße zu verändern, sondern auch den Bewohner*innen Gemeinschaftsflächen und dadurch zusätzlichen Wohnraum zur Verfügung zu stellen. Eine neue äußere Schicht des Baus setzt sich nun oberhalb des Sockelgeschosses aus verglasten Erkern mit dreieckiger Grundfläche zusammen, die sich wie Waben in unterschiedlichen Breiten schräg aus der Fassadenfläche herausbilden. Nach innen sind die Erker als privat nutzbare Fläche konzipiert. Sie sind über die halböffentlichen Erschließungsgänge erreichbar. How can we combine urban renewal with healthy densification? Didden Village is a rooftop house extension and the first project we realised in our home town of Rotterdam. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ Situated on top of an existing historical building and atelier, the bedrooms are conceived as separate houses, optimizing the privacy of every member of the family. The houses are distributed in such a way that a series of plazas, streets and alleys appear as a mini-village on top of the building.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ The addition can be seen as a prototype for the further densification of the existing city, activating the roofscape and optimising urban space.
