Excuse my language but what the fuck is that Disaster Recoupling speech from Lucas BECAUSE "Bitch if you don't like me. Don't choose me." The hell? Leave me alone. Stick with Marisol. At this point I would rather Ibrahim choose me and I would feel more appreciated.

Sorry I got distracted. I originally came to ask if is it just me or is Lucas kinda....petty when MC doesn't show him much interest. But the speech made it worse and threw me off again. This y'all man? Damn.....

Anyway, you would really prefer Ibrahim over Lucas? Please explain, because I feel like Rahim is actually much worse. He really goes "I feel so safe with you" and "I could see this going somewhere" and then he brings Shannon back from CA saying and I quote,

“But I’m not going to put that above a shot at a real relationship. It’s like Violet Man says… ‘Sometimes being a hero means taking a risk’.” 🤡🤡

Excuse me???

You've known Shannon for all of three days and you call what you have with her a "real relationship" when you've been with me for about two weeks and found it hard to open up? And then he dumps her for Jo without even trying to make it work. Nah, sorry, but at least Lucas never makes any promises. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Now, what's going on with his DR speech?

The thing is, and I explained this in another post here: if you tried to get Lucas to stay, but had to tell the girls that you wanted Henrik to stay (because of course you had to), Lucas doesn't think it's him you really want. So he tries to get over his crush on MC by focusing his attention on Hope instead, who he fancies as well!

You're not wrong, he's a bit petty when you don't show much interest, but that's not even ooc. He's used to having all eyes on him and then rejecting girls anyway. So when MC ignores him, it's a huge blow to his ego, but you can say that about almost every boy on this show. Lucas may just not be able to hide it as well because he's brutally honest and the king of sarcasm on top of it. Of course he's going to constantly make subtle digs at MC, but I find it funny tbf.

So what does this mean for us now?

It's SO CLEAR that Lucas has been fancying MC since he entered the villa, but he also fancies Hope. So idk about you, but wouldn't you do the same?

After all, he knows his interest in MC isn't reciprocated, so why should he settle for her when he can have Hope instead?

(By the way, if you eavesdrop on Noah and Priya's conversation after Operation Nope Noah will hint that Lucas and Hope spent a lot of time together and it pissed him off, so I reckon Lucas thought he really had a chance at the next recoupling)

He's not there to make friends, he's not Bobby, he's not a people pleaser and so he won't even try to be polite. Especially if you got lots of frowny faces during interactions with him.

LMAO as a Noah kinnie I'm not allowed to say that other people can't headcanon fixing their favorite LI 😵

Rahim was the LI that I ended the game with on my first playthrough, and I love him so dearly, but you're so right that his behavior is out of control.

I chalk it up to Love Island being like... basically the worst place for him to be. Yes, he found love like he wanted to, but he's so introverted, conflict avoidance, self-conscious, and particular that it ended up showing all his worst sides.

And honestly, I forgive him for being standoffish towards Priya and Marisol after they rejected him. I forgive him for being so particular about cleanliness and organization to the point where he's SO worked up about bruised fruit. I forgive him for keeping Shannon and then switching for Jo, he genuinely had feelings for Jo and Shannon is so fucking hot I get it. I even forgive him for not apologizing to MC when Jo/Shannon happens (he genuinely liked all three women but then got overwhelmed by the game and when they started fighting).

The thing about Rahim that always gets me is that he's SO particular about the way he wants things to be that he ends up shaming and embarrassing MC, mostly in the last 10 days of the game. Things like if she runs in the grocery store reprimanding her, calling her messy, telling her that her jokes are bad... Broke my heart. I justify it by saying that he's just burnt out by the show and lashing out, but it's not a good excuse.

There are so many things I love about Rahim. I think he does the self-conscious to slightly more confident character arch way more believably and subtly than Hannah, Bobby, and Felix do. He is SO sincere and romantic, and hands down his lines are the best romance lines in the game. And he's a genuinely good friend to Noah, Henrik, and MC (if they're not dating). I say this for all my favorite characters, but I love how realistically flawed he is, and in-canon I think he has a lot of growing to do after the show.

Again, even if he was it’s not gonna be unique to Lewie 😂 considering in a lot of people’s game’s he’s ALREADY GONE HOME 🤣

So if Lewie is gonna be Ibrahim 2.0, so will Jamal, Ryan, and probably Roberto as well because Fusebox are not giving them unique routes. We’re ALL stuck on an Ibrahim 2.0 route, not just the Lewie girls 😂

Rahim made mistakes, but he's not a bad guy as those players claims to be. They just find any malicious comments about him because he's boring. I don't believe him being a bad guy. He doesn't deserve much garbage.

I wholeheartedly agree, anon. Rahim is so adorably dorky, sweet, and fun, and definitely isn't a bad guy. He's young, on a reality show, and he made a mistake. And, I mean, who am I to critique him as a Noah stan? Thankfully I don't see much dislike of Rahim on here, which makes me happy as I mostly love or at least can appreciate all the S2 characters 🤍
