thinking abt a game where you play as ghost hunting fishermen, trawling dried out lakes and seabeds for the ghosts of ancient marine life that are causing trouble for the creatures that live there now

Nova either thinks she's a bottom feeder or decided to make her own foraging game. 😂

After some heavy consideration, she started trying the calanus. But she ate it by stirring up the food from the substrate with her fins, then grabbing it. Every few bites, she swam back up to get a gulp of air, then go back to foraging.

🍍 - What is an event that seemed of minor consequence to them when it occurred, but ended up impacting their life/development in a bigger way?

The first time he stole something non-essential. Copperhead had stolen many times before, usually necessities like food or articles of clothing but the more he continued taking what wasn't his, the bigger the thrill it became. Shoplifting graduated to pickpocketing, then full-on breaking and entering with Copperhead honing his skills over the years to take whatever caught his eye. At that point it was more about the challenge than actual need, since he was living as a drifter and could only carry around the bare essentials. His humble beginnings as a petty thief left him craving greater challenges to feel that rush of adrenaline once more. Murder may slake the dark thirst brewing within but thieving was always a personal pleasure, and a great side business when good assassination contracts are far and few in-between.

🍋 - Is there anything special about their diet, and how do they manage it? If they were to gain/lose a lot of weight suddenly, how would they react and adjust?

As a Serpent Metahuman, Copperhead doesn't require frequent meals. In fact he prefers eating only a few times a week, preferably small meals that are quick and easy to digest. A full belly makes for a slow snake so Copperhead avoids consuming large amounts of food in one go, finding he grows too sluggish on the occasion his greed gets the better of him. He can subsist entirely on meat but Copperhead likes fish and fruit too, having a highly refined palate what with his sensitive tongue. Shellfish like crab and lobster is something he goes wild for but he always tries to avoid gorging no matter how tempting a spread is. Contrary to popular belief, he does not eat rats.

i love animals that will eat their own babies or siblings cos its so awesome. theres not enough room in this ecosystem to sustain both of us beyond this moment so i will eat you to maintain balance. i know they dont think that way but its how nature just works i s'pose. terratorial boundries too that maintain a perfect amount of area for 1 apex preditor to live cos if there was 2 or 3 the ecosystem would b decimated.

#my danios made me think of this. they keep laying eggs but no babies ever emerge because the eggs and fry are eatten by the adults. #i rarely ever feed my fish theyve lived in harmony in that tank for almost a year now without food. #the daphina and small worms and algae and debris sustains them. but there isnt room or enough food in the ecosystem for more #so they get eatten because their parents are always hunting for food and the eggs are just there #but if i fed the tank the eggs wouldnyt get eatten because the adults wouldnt be actively looking for a meal in their teratory #and then the eggs would hatch and the fry would survive because there is an excess of food and neutrience to be eatten #when 1 dies off the chances the eggs are found will lower and there will be a higher chance of population increase #so naturally the population is maintained at an and optimized level to keep the tank running smooth without my intervention #and this is all becasue they eat their own young and dont overpopulate the tank by self regulating the population naturally.
