#my posts #gameblogging #liveblogging rain world #the wiki says the rain doesn't affect bitter aerie so i had to try it out #and yea the rain does fall but its not deadly #but i walked all the way back to moon because i forgot where the luna shelter was #so i got chucked out into her room and she started speaking #then the rain killed me and then when i woke up the ruffles dialogue played #other than that it was a fun run #my first time in this campaign i didnt know you could use the rarefaction cell underwater #so i did it all without using it #and so it was very difficult #but now i did use it and i think i understand why people love submerged superstructure #definitely one of the best areas of the game

so i've been playing more rain world. neither security breach NOR fnaf 1 have terrified me as much as this game and i played them for like a combined 70 hours. look i never imagined the idea of rain would be enough to make me panic but here i am shaking every time the screen starts to vibrate. it is genuinely just such a good game and i've only played it for less than four hours so far

in other news i just spent the last hour trying to solve a puzzle the wrong way B]

(Recently bc I never got to experience the game without some prior knowledge, I have started playing rain world and pretending like I’m a new player. It’s really fun!)

Played for roughly an hour and my head is whirring/pos.

I found what I think is like a cycle locked room with one of the cycle symbols blinking red on my map. My favourite enemy so far is the evil plant that camouflaged as a pole. I don't like the big red flying thingies. Controls are challenging but not at all bad (which was my biggest worry tbh) and if i tell you the joy I felt when I figured out how to walljump consistently >>>. I am unsure whether it's better to hibernate simply whenever you find a new hibernation chamber or to wait until it almost starts to rain; gotta experiment with that.

Definitely hyped to play more, I think however this is gonna be an an hour here and there game for me (instead of an play for 8 hours straight game)

why is killing vultures so much easier as spearmaster

#my posts #gameblogging #liveblogging rain world #i tried it on a survivor run where i was playing as riv and struggling to get past the white lizards on the wall #but i gave up because it just didn't work #but now on a spearmaster run i accidentally killed two during a shelter failure #then a king vulture came and i killed him too but forgot to get his mask #so i camped the chimney shelter next to the sky islands gate #piled up like 10 spears waited for one to show up and then had a meal :)#i guess it might be bc riv's movement is so slippery they're not built for combat #and spearmaster's higher throwing skill is very noticeable and very helpful #he does do .25 more damage which i guess matters when a king vulture has like 10 health #having hunter stats might also be why i'm much more confident in combat as artificer #it's very interesting tbh like as those two im not afraid of anything apart from like scavs and miros vultures n stuff like that #but with everyone else i just run away #even with gourmand i think twice before engaging in combat
