May is both my birthday and BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) awareness month. It's hard to summarize what it feels like having this mental condition, because it not only has different types, but also it has 9 general traits in which you need at least 5 to be diagnosed. Meaning there are more than 200 different combinations of traits! Also, we have one of the highest su1cid3 rates; 70% of us will attempt meanwhile 10% will actually succeed. What is generally common (and also applies to me) is that BPD is marked by a severe emotional dysregulation, mood swings that can last from minutes to days, depression, unestable personal relationships, among other things. Oh, by the way, the photo is from my book "Lost In Whispers", and the little 'souvenirs' (bracelets) you can see on the left are from my attempts. Anyway, stay strong, fellow strangers. And if you have someone you love and care about with BPD... please, be patient, learn about it and don't give up on them. Because we are the most loyal, caring and funny people in the world with the ones we feel good with... which is usually our fp (when we have one)~
