• Midday Lycanroc

Female Midday Lycanroc, reference to the Lupa Capitolina (the wolf who supposedly rescued legendary Rome founders Romulus and Remus when they were babies).

• Togekiss

It is said that Togekiss hates conflict and never willingly shows up where there's one. It would probably enjoy the company of someone like Feli who hates fighting and won't easily do it willingly.

• Quagsire

It has a relaxed, easy-going and carefree nature. It is hardly ever bothered and hunts by waiting for its pray to swim into its open mouth while it lies at the river's bottom. Probably a nice partner for Feli to have on lazy days, spending some hours surrounded by nature doing nothing.

• Lechonk

In general I prefer to opt for fully evolved Pokémon in teams but- Lechonk is perfect!! Not only it has a great sense of smell that it uses for nothing but searching for food, it is also a picky eater and will only eat what it considers the finest of foods. Makes me think of someone ...

• Sylveon

While it is a very loyal and sweet Pokémon, whose antennae are able to release a soothing aura that calms fights, it can also be unexpectedly merciless and strong when a fight does break out. While its peaceful and calm nature is obviously a good fit for Feli, the part about it being able to take down even enemies a lot bigger than it reminds me of those couple strips where it's revealed that Chibitalia was able to take down the Ottoman Empire, to the point that it still left an impression on Turkey even centuries afterwards.

• Latias

Normally, I wouldn't include Legendaries in any team but!! I mean, Latias!!! In this official picture she's even flying over Venice :') So yeah, not only Latias (and Latios) is associated with Venice (the movie where they appear, Pokémon Heroes, is set in a city called Alto Mare that is blatantly inspired by Venice), but she's the younger sibling and she's said to be highly sensitive to others' emotions and feels uncomfortable when she senses hostility.

• Pikachu

Pretty self-explanatory, because they're both considered the "mascot character" of their respective series.

• Smeargle

They're both painters!! :D Imagine Feli and Smeargle painting the same picture sometimes, and Feli showing the paintings excitedly to Germany and asks him who he thinks painted which!!

Today is officially Blue Dog Saturday, at least it is for Araceli. She's up to six of them now, thanks to the addition of Dante the Houndour (#61) and Pyralis the Houndoom (#62, also caught as a Houndour). This shiny line is one that I have wanted for... let's just say a very long time.

Just have two more shiny blue-ish dogs to get now (the two forms of Zorua). Well... two and a half if I want to count Ninetales with its blue tail tips. Which are shiny hunts that I already want to do so I'll get them eventually!

Also included a Blue Dog Saturday Picnic with the whole pack, just because. Looks like Chase the Midday Lycanroc is not too keen on Pyralis yet, and look at how nicely he, Ryger and Lupa lined up to show off the three Lycanroc forms side by side.

(ALSO also thinking about maybe making a side blog just for Araceli and her shiny adventures. Some place to hold all of my lore ramblings and character profiles and fics. Hm... we'll see.)

I present a collection of drawings from the past two months.

I've been trying to draw a lot more, and while I haven't been 100% good on that, I'm still trying.

These drawings all happen to have a common theme, however.

I'm gearing up to beging writing a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Fanfictiony thing, and these are characters that will show up.

The Lycanroc's name is Lupa, and the Floette's name is Ambrosia. They're adopted siblings and hate each in the usual sibling way.

The other four are all part of a team, however. Team Relic.

The Buizel is Odd. The leader. He was a human mysteriously turned into a Pokemon. He was training in the Sinnoh region to become a Pokemon professor until he was suddenly afflicted with Main Character Syndrome. He is an anxious mess because if I have to be cursed with it, so too must he.

The Litleo is named Heit. He was the founder of Team Relic and he's kind of a little shit. He's impulsive and talks a big game but he cares. He cares too much.

The Carbink is Sapphy (Nonbinary! They/Them pronouns) They're shiny, and got teased a hell of a lot for that growing up. As a result, they've kind if just stopped caring about what people think of them and just say what they want. (Also, they don't speak verbally and use their ears to click out Morse code, fun fact.)

And finally the Perrserker is Scraps. She was actually raised by Kantonian Persian so she's a lot less focused on battle and combat and more is a bit more stuck up. She still has that Perrserker temper though. She's also like, a surrogate parent to Heir because his dad SUCKS.

Anyway that's an unnecessary explanation of that. I'll get around to writing the story at some point. I'm world building right now and im fighting with ADHD brain to do less thinky and more action.

(Also Odd and Heit are gay and in love because 2020 sucks and I get to be self indulgent.)

oh i considered it but i didnt want to because i nicknamed my dusk lycanroc Clupuscular (from crepuscular and lupus) so i didnt wanna reuse “lup”… rn im thinking ill name it Zwolfhander, from zweihander swords and just plain wolf

what form is jason's lycanroc?? i am curious

dusk form! lupa, his mentor, had all three forms — he learned how to properly train his from her, after rehabilitating it himself. GENERALLY they’re closer in personality to the midday form ( i think? ) but in battle act more like the midnight forms. jason’s is ... more easily provoked than most of it’s kind, but is calm if left alone.

Whew, big day for Araceli's shiny family. Three new additions thanks to an outbreak of both Rockruff and Midnight form Lycanroc. It took a few hours to accomplish (and a bit of system clock tweaking so the day would not roll over thanks to me having to go to bed early) but I managed to find enough blue dogs to complete the Rockruff line!

The first blue puppy, full odds shiny #32, was named Bluey. Yes, after the cartoon character. (Except this one is a male; I didn't want to sit and try for a FOURTH shiny and HOPE that it was female.) Decided that he would be the one to stay a Rockruff.

Second blue puppy, full odds shiny #33, was named Tiger and got to evolve into Dusk form Lycanroc. Tiger was likewise named after an animated character - in this case, Tiger of the Wind from Monster Rancher. I had to tweak the system clock again because I kept missing the window to evolve him so that he'd turn into the Dusk form.

The final blue puppy, full odds shiny #34, is Lupa the Midnight form. I actually almost lost her. She chased me out of the initial battle with Roar but I had saved beforehand so it was just a matter of quitting and reloading. Only when I reloaded the game's clock ticked over into daytime so she vanished (you can tell by the sky in the background that I had found her literally at the break of dawn the first time). I sulked for a few minutes before closing the game again without saving and resetting the clock back a few minutes so that when I opened it again it was still night. Boom, she was still there, and I tossed a Quick Ball at her and got a crit capture out of it.

So, yeah, now Chase is the leader of his own little group, and Araceli has a pack of blue dogs. Just need to get a shiny Houndour and Houndoom to complete said pack of blue dogs. Wonder how I am going to work this into her lore... hm.
