Requested Inspired School Hairstyles
Ones I would do personally
1. Messy Bun. Firstly I would like to point out that when I was at school, everyday I had straight hair. I remember when I discovered `Straighteners` and since then i`ve used them. But the photos I`ve provided I would`ve done them. I was sort of person who stayed in bed as long as possible, I was the sort of person who didn`t care about their appearance. I`m more into hair then beauty, But with certain hairstyles I do get paranoid and I am a perfectionist and you will see how those play into the hairstyles I`ve chosen today. So firstly messy bun, I didn`t do a messy bun until I was about 21..Yes 21. I love this hairstyle, to me it`s playful and cute, But it`s also messy and doesn`t take up much of your time. I`ve managed to do a messy bun about twice in my lifetime and the others just fall or look odd. I could never have this as a hairstyle at school because being a perfectionist I would be paranoid about all of the ends sticking out, does it make me look weird all that sort of thing. But now I definitely would..If only I could achieve it
2.Straight hair. As i`ve mentioned before I always had straightened hair when I went to school, I like it when you see it flowing in your shadow, Idk why i`m just odd like that. I feel like with straight hair you don`t have to be paranoid and constantly fixing your hair. I always believed if you kept fixing your hair (You know that video of Britney Spears performing and she kept tightening her ponytail, y`all should go watch the video) If I did that constantly I would get a headache and it would distract me from my work and what is more important? Work or hair? You`ve got your whole life to tighten your ponytail.
3. Hair behind the shoulder. I didn`t pick this one because of the curls, I picked it because of the hair in front and hair behind. I`ve done this a lot recently and I like doing it because i`ve become more fond of my bone structure (Don`t ask). I do find at times though it can be unflattering. Again you can do this with either straight hair or curly hair.
4. High Ponytail. I love high ponytails, I like how messy but cute it can be at the same time. Khloe Kardashian`s is a perfect example of this. The way it can flow around your back and you shoulders and the way it tickles your back sometimes is fine for me. You can, if you had one, pull a few strands of your fringe out, or you can pull a few strands out from around your ears, One I would be more favoured for. Unfortunately for me sometimes when trying to do a ponytail at school because I didn`t want my hair burnt on the Bunsen burner, my hair looked like a catastrophe.
5. Half Up Half Down Knot. Now this one I would do BUT I would be massively paranoid. The knot at the back would drive me crazy, I would be paranoid and touching it all the time seeing if it was still in place. I was never a person who would go all out to keep it in place, I would just stick a few pins in and that`s it. But again this is a cute hairstyle, may take a few minutes of your time in the morning, But i`d rather spend that time stuffing my face.
6. Braids. I love braids, But yet again showing my skills I can`t do them. I don`t even know what you would call this type of braid. I`ve always loved this one though and I would love to have it one day but I can`t do it myself and I don`t think my relatives know either. I did a hair and beauty course at college and we learnt about plaits their, The technical side of plaits is too much for me. They asked us to do a basket weave once...I couldn`t do it let alone wrap my head around the fact what a basket weave was. I managed to do a fishtail though, that`s one I remember. Also I`ve added another photo of plaits where you can pull some strands out to make more to it. Although as you can gather from other posts these would make me paranoid if I went to school with this hairstyle.
7. Messy Hair. Bare with me on this, So with me straightened hair I love putting my fingers through it and pulling it back and it comes out sort of like a backcombed hairstyle, it layers itself and actually it falls back into place by itself. This is great for keeping the hair out of your face.
8. Half Up Half Down Top Knot. I love these two and i`ve managed to achieve a couple of these in my short little life. They arent that hard to do, You just need patience and a lot of pins. I think I prefer it when the hair is messier instead of wavy though. Keeping the bun in the same place for the whole day is a mission in itself though.
Hairstyles I would love to try but not brave enough
1. Braid Crossover. Don`t even know what you would call this hairstyle, but I love these and i`ve always wanted to try it. However, I do like it when the hair at the back of the braid is pumped up instead of looking flat, I think it just gives it more definition and volume. Again, I don`t know much about braids let alone do them so this would be impossible for me to do. Looking on Google trying to find some school hairstyles and some of these braids design are hideous, who even has time to do them? Only the 1% who can be bothered to get up at 5am and have their hair braided for 2 hours, No thanks.
2. Perrie`s short curly hair. I LOVE this hair, The colour, the curls I love it so much I saved the photo on my computer. I would so try it myself but I hate short hair. I got my first ever pair of straighteners thanks to my mum giving me a bowl haircut. I thought the straighteners would make make it seem longer and everything but eventually my hair did grow back long and I never looked back.
3. Half Up Half Down Ponytail. No Idea what you call this one either, made famous from Ariana Grande who can`t stop wearing this hairstyle. I`ve tried to achieve this so many times, I`ve done it once...When it was straight. I much preferred doing this hairstyle when my hair is curled but the curls just fall out and it takes ages to curl for me oh and it requires too much energy to reach over the other side.
4. Wavy hairstyle. My hair is naturally wavy, not a attractive wavy most of the time but sometimes it`s a gooden. Again I would never use heated hair tools to create wavy hair because they would fall out like usual. Even if I didn`t use hair tools I would be paranoid with it.
5. Half Up Half Down Scalp Plait. You`ve probably never seen this one before, but it combines two of my loves into one hairstyle. I find on the scalp plaits are itchy like I itch all over.
7. Hair accessories. I would love to use hair accessories but again i`m paranoid with them. I`ve got the hair red headband you see, but I never use it because I just see it as a major distraction, I think it sticks out too much, I thiddle and twiddle with it as well it just gets on my nerves. Claires do a lot of great hair accessories.
You can find places like Claires or ASOS do a lot of hair styling tools such as electronic ones or unheated ones. You can also check out Youtube for great hairstyles.
