Through out the whole game, every person Vito had to kill was presented as someone who deserved it

Sidney Pen as someone who betrayed Clemente

Luca as someone who got him in prison. Tortured Tony Balls and Beans. Killed Mick

Brian as someone who tried to kill him

Clemente as someone who, yet again, got him in prison. But beside that did a lot of nasty shit, including killing Marty

Derek and Steve as someone who exploited and killed his father

Every single person Vito had to take down was in one way or another crooked piece of shit. And I solemnly believe that was the only factor that made Vito pull the trigger. I don't think he is someone who kills for the sake of killing, unless he has to.

In this sense he's a lot like Tommy. Not using any excuse to be violent, like some guys getting into fights when drunk or just because someone fucked up their car (Right Morello?!)

Give me a scene where Vito has to kill someone he believes is not deserving so and let me watch him fight within himself between being a good soldier and good person

I'd like to talk about the deleted scene from chapter 7

Joe telling Vito he's got somebody and that's why he can't stay with him

Beside the comedic lines those two idiots exchange, it's actually sad and I'm mad they didn't keep it in game

Vito just got out of prison. Where he's been sharing cell with Leo for some years. Got used to have people around just to get out and live alone. He couldn't go back home because that's Frankie's place, he had no place of his own because he had no money

All he had was Joe and Joe made different arrangements. You can actually hear the pain in Vito's voice when he says 'He's been gone for 7 years and old Barbaro already lookin' to settle down '

That makes him realise maybe it will be Joe with family of his own one day, and unavailable for Vito and that stings, especially after loosing mother and place he could call home while in prison

And then the devs go and slap a scene where 'I got you a place, just as you asked me' as if Vito wouldn't consider couch crashing at Joe's as his first option
