Yoga Mod by Twinsimming & Alunn 🧘🏾‍♀️

This mod brings the yoga activity from The Sims 4: Spa Day to The Sims 3. Originally created by Alunn, I recently took over to add additional features and bring it to release!

This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

The yoga mat is draggable in Live Mode and can be placed in a sim’s personal or family inventory.

Yoga Mat

Using any of the yoga mat interactions will build the Athletic skill (except for Children), though some more slowly than others. As your sim’s skill increases, they will learn new yoga poses and improve on their execution of previous ones.

A sim’s Athletic skill also determines how long they can use the mat before becoming Fatigued* (anywhere from 4-7 hours):

Skill Level 1-3 (Poor/Novice): 4 hours

Skill Level 4-6 (Normal): 5 hours

Skill Level 7-9 (Skilled): 6 hours

Skill Level 10 (Expert): 7 hours

*Children will always get Fatigued after 3 hours.

Your sim won’t gain muscle, lose weight, or become more fit from using the mat, but they will fulfill any generic workout related wishes. And sims won’t lose Hygiene as fast as they would using other athletic equipment.

Sims aged Teen and up will switch into their athletic outfit, take off their shoes before using the mat, and put them back on when finished. Children will switch into their athletic outfit, but leave their shoes on.

Pregnant sims can use the mat in any trimester!

Interactions

Practice Yoga (Child and Up): Raises Athletic skill, gives sims the Tranquil moodlet after 2 hours, small boost to Fun need

Do Yoga Routine… (Teen and Up):

Stress Relieving (Level 3 Athletic Skill): Boosts Fun need, gives Tranquil moodlet, slowly raises Athletic skill, can be used even when sims have the Stressed moodlet

Mind Balancing (Level 5 Athletic Skill): Boosts Social need, gives Tranquil moodlet, small boost to Fun need, slowly raises Athletic skill

Energy Centering (Level 7 Athletic Skill): Boosts Energy need. gives Tranquil moodlet, small boost to Fun need, slowly raises Athletic skill

By default, yoga routines will only boost their specific needs up to half way, so don't think your sims can forgo a good night's rest or talking to a friend in favor of a tree pose or two!

Sims with the Athletic skill, Martial Arts skill, Athletic trait, or the Disciplined trait will be drawn to use the mat autonomously. Sims will also be drawn to the mat when it is placed on a Gym, Dojo, or Chinese Garden lot type.

Conflicts & Known Issues

- As this is a brand new scripted object, there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

- Teen sims sink a bit into the mat on certain animations because The Sims 4 doesn’t have shorter teens to convert animations from.

- If a laundry basket/washer/dryer has been placed on the lot, when sims take off their shoes to use the yoga mat, a pile of clothing will spawn.

Naveen Andrews Joins Paramount+’s ‘Last King Of The Cross’ Season 2

EXCLUSIVE: Naveen Andrews has joined the cast of Paramount+‘s Australian drama series Last King of the Cross.

He will play lead antagonist Ray Kinnock in the second season of the show, which tells the story of Sydney nightclub kingpin John Ibrahim (Lincoln Younes) and his brother Sam (Claude Jabbour).

Filming is underway on season 2 in Sydney, as John sights set on capturing a new kingdom — the glittering prize of Oxford Street, Sydney’s nightclub empire.

Andrews will bring to life the fictional character of Ray Kinnock, who is determined to either keep John out, or take him down. The actor is best known for his role on ABC cult drama Lost, for which he won a Screen Actors Guild award along with the rest of the cast. He also appeared in the iconic classic movie The English Patient and, most recently, The Dropout, alongside Amanda Seyfried and is a Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award nominee.

Also joining the show for season two are Luke Arnold (Scrublands, INXS: Never Tear Us Apart) and Matuse (The Fall Guy, Furiosa), who will play Dean Taylor and Benny respectively, two new drug lords hell-bent on bringing their booming trade into John’s clubs.

Paramount Australia’s Creative Advisor Drama, Rick Maier said: “Going up against the Ibrahims on screen is no easy task. Naveen promises to give Lincoln and Claude a run for their money. He’s a brilliant actor, and a fantastic inclusion for series two.

Last King of The Cross comes from Helium Pictures with Cineflix Rights as the exclusive international distribution partner. The series received major production investment from Paramount Australia in association with Screen Australia and is financed with support from Screen NSW through the Made in NSW fund and Fulcrum Media Finance. Post, digital and visual effects supported by Screen NSW and Screen Queensland.

Naveen Andrews joins season two of Last King of the Cross

British actor Naveen Andrews, best known for his role in the television series Lost, has been revealed as the actor who will play the antagonist role in the second series of Last King of the Cross.

Andrews will play Ray Kinnock, a Darlinghurst nightclub boss who goes head to head with John Ibrahim when he expands his business empire into Oxford Street in the 1990s.

Kinnock appears to be a wholly fictional character but in real life John Ibrahim bought DCMs (Don’t Cry Mama) and then eight more venues along Oxford Street in the space of a year.

Also joining the show are Luke Arnold (Scrublands, INXS: Never Tear Us Apart) and Matuse (The Fall Guy, Furiosa), who will play “Dean Taylor” and “Benny,”, two new drug gang bosses bent on bringing their trade into John’s clubs.

YSS Announces New Safe Place Sites to Help Youth in Crisis

Youth Services System, Inc. (YSS) is pleased to announce the addition of new Safe Place sites during National Safe Place (NSP) Week, happening March 19-25. The nationally recognized week serves to raise awareness about the Safe Place program, a national program which brings together youth service agencies, businesses, volunteers, and community partners to help youth in crisis. Safe Place consists of a national network of more than 22,000 partnering businesses and community locations, such as restaurants, convenience stores, fire stations, public buses, and libraries, which display the Safe Place sign in their windows. As youth enter a designated Safe Place and ask for help, trained staff members connect them to the appropriate youth shelter for assistance. YSS is the only licensed Safe Place provider in the state of West Virginia. The addition of three new sites, two at the Weirton Fire Department (both the Headquarters Station and the Gilson Avenue Station) and one at the Brooke Hancock Family Resource Network (FRN), will bring the Safe Place sites within the network up to 25 total locations. “I have been working on becoming a certified Safe Place here at the City of Weirton Fire Department for quite some time,” said Lieutenant Mikel Serafine. “We as a department are thrilled to bring this endeavor to fruition. This is yet another service that we would like to offer our youth in the city, and we are willing to do whatever it takes to protect them. Thank you to Youth Services System, City Manager Mike Adams, Fire Chief Kevin Himmelrick, and the employees of the Weirton Fire Department.” The City of Weirton Fire Department and the Brooke Hancock FRN will be launching their new Safe Place designations on Tuesday, March 21st.
