Dough
5-1/4 to 5-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 (2-1/4 tsp.) envelope Fleischmann's® RapidRise® Instant Yeast
2 tablespoons freshly grated orange peel
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 cup milk
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup butter OR margarine
2 eggs
As needed, Mazola® (Canadian)
Sugar Topping
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Powdered Sugar Glaze
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
3 to 4 tablespoons milk
Directions
Combine 1-3/4 cups flour, sugars, undissolved yeast, orange peel, salt, and pumpkin pie spice in large mixer bowl. Heat milk, water, and butter until very warm (120° to 130°F). Gradually add to flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Add eggs and 1 cup flour; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cover; let rest 10 minutes.
Roll dough on lightly floured surface to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-1/2-inch doughnut cutter. Knead together trimmings; let rest 5 minutes, reroll and cut. Place doughnuts on greased baking sheets. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Deep fry at 375°F for 2 minutes or until browned, turning once. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Sprinkle with Sugar Topping or drizzle with Powdered Sugar Glaze.
Cinnamon Sugar Topping: Stir sugar and pumpkin pie spice together in small bowl. Sift mixture over warm doughnuts.
Powdered Sugar Glaze: Combine powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice and milk in a bowl; stir until smooth.

Pada tahun 1922, Lever Brothers mengakuisisi Mac Fisheries, pemilik merek T. Wall & Sons.
Pada bulan September 1929, Unilever pun dibentuk berdasarkan penggabungan antara penghasil sabun dari Inggris Lever Brothers & penghasil margarin menurut Belanda, Margarine Unie. Penggabungan ini sangatlah wajar, mengingat sabun & margarin sama-sama berbahan baku minyak sawit, sebagai akibatnya proses impor minyak sawit dari Afrika bisa berjalan lebih efisien.
1930an–1940an
Pada dekade 1930an, usaha Unilever mulai tumbuh. Unilever pun mulai mengakuisisi perusahaan lain.Pada tahun 1943, Unilever mengakuisisi saham secara umum dikuasai pada Frosted Foods (pemilik merek Birds Eye) & Batchelors Peas. Pada tahun 1944, Unilever jua mengakuisisi Pepsodent.
Setelah tahun 1945, beberapa bisnis Unilever menerangkan tren penurunan penjualan, menjadi akibatnya Unilever mulai melepas beberapa anak usahanya.
1950an–1960an

Pada tahun 1997, Unilever menjual National Starch & Chemical, Quest, Unichema & Crosfield ke Akzo seharga £4.9 milliar.
2000an
Pada awal bulan April 2000, Unilever membeli Ben & Jerry’s & Slim Fast seharga £1,63 milliar.[22] Pada tahun yang sama, Unilever jua mengakusisi Best Foods seharga £13,4 milliar. Akuisisi ini pun menaikkan kehadiran Unilever pada Amerika Serikat, & menambah merek contohnya Knorr & Hellmann’s ke jajaran produk Unilever.[22] Sebagai konsekuensi menurut akuisisi ini, Unilever pun harus menjual merek Oxo, Royco & Batchelors.
Pada tahun 2001, Unilever dipisah menjadi dua divisi, yakni Divisi Makanan & Divisi Perawatan Rumah Tangga & Tubuh.
Pada bulan September 2002, Unilever menjual Loders Croklaan, seharga RM814 juta ke IOI Corporation, sebuah perusahaan minyak sawit dari Malaysia.
Pada tahun yg sama, Unilever jua menjual merek Mazola, Argo & Kingsfords, Karo, Golden Griddle, & Henri’s, & beberapa merek lain ke ACH Food Companies, anak bisnis dari Associated British Foods.[23][24]
Pada bulan Mei 2007, Unilever sebagai perusahaan besar pertama yg berkomitmen buat memanen teh memakai cara yang lebih ramah lingkungan, memakai menyewa Rainforest Alliance, sebuah lembaga pemerhati lingkungan buat mensertifikasi kebun tehnya dalam Afrika Timur & pula pemasok tehnya dalam seluruh global. 9 Vintage Health Ads That Will Take You Back to the 1960s

It’s hard to imagine in 2013—when sugar added to processed foods shoulders much of the blame for America’s obesity epidemic—that this May 1964 ad depicted sugar as a diet aid. “Sugar … takes the edge off pretty girls’ appetites so that they don’t need or want heavier, fattening foods. Sugar is the sensible weight-watcher because it doesn’t leave you feeling draggy.”

This December 1964 ad for One A Day multivitamins makes an interesting point that many experts today still agree with: “many diets are notoriously vitamin-poor … while winning the calorie battle, you may lose the vitamin war.” The research on taking multivitamins to improve your health, however, is mixed. While you run the risk of missing out on vitamins when you slash your overall food intake, filling your plate with nutrient-dense fruits and veggies, whole grains, lean meats, nuts, and fish should help ensure you get the vitamins and minerals you need from food.

The sixties issues of Reader’s Digest were packed with ads from various margarine and vegetable oil companies, touting the benefits of unsaturated fat—like this Mazola one from February 1969—as experts warned about the heart risks of saturated fats in butter.
But the latest science shows that this understanding was a little too simplistic. In a 2013 study published in the journal BMJ, researchers found that not all unsaturated plant fats are created equal. Those rich in linoleic acid—or omega-6 fatty acids—may be linked to greater risk of heart disease and deaths from any cause.
“In the 1960s all polyunsaturated fats were considered the same,” Christopher Ramsden, MD, a clinical investigator at the National Institutes of Health, told Time.com. “They were grouped together under one mechanism of being able to lower blood-cholesterol levels. Then, over the ensuing decades, it became clear as science progressed that there were multiple types of polyunsaturated fats, and these compounds potentially have distinct biochemical and health effects.”

Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts

Ingredients
FOR THE DOUGHNUTS:
3-¼ to 3-¾ cups all purpose flour
2 packets Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Instant Yeast (4-½ teaspoons)
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup + 2 tablespoons milk
¼ cup butter OR margarine
3 egg yolks
Mazola® Corn Oil,
FOR THE CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon Karo® Light Corn Syrup
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
FOR THE DOUGHNUTS:
Combine 2 cups flour, Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Instant Yeast, sugar, and salt in a large mixer bowl. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, heat milk and butter in the microwave until very warm (120°F to 130°F). Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture, adding egg yolks. Beat for 2 minutes at low speed. Continue adding flour until soft dough forms.
Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic (about 4 to 6 minutes). Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
Roll out dough on a lightly-floured surface into a 12-inch circle, about ½-inch thick. Using a 3-inch cookie or biscuit cutter, cut out as many rounds as possible. Cut out the center with a 1-inch cookie cutter or poke hole through the center with finger. Place doughnuts about 2 to 3 inches apart on lightly-greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Reroll and cut the remaining dough scraps into doughnuts until the dough is used up. Cover doughnuts and let rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Heat at least 3 inches of oil in a deep fryer or deep pan to 350°F. Fry 2 to 3 doughnuts at a time, turning occasionally until well browned, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Cool a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. While the doughnuts cool, make the chocolate glaze.
FOR THE CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
Combine all of the glaze ingredients in a small, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat until the glaze is smooth and the chocolate is completely melted.
Dip each doughnut into the glaze. Top with sprinkles if desired! Enjoy!
