speaking on my captain carter post from the other day… why is she getting any attention at all? like, we got sam wilson as the actual Captain America before her yet she’s the one being featured time and time again in different universes in both What If… and MoM, an actual movie in the saga that Sam Wilson is also a part of. Make it make sense, Marvel.

The Spiderverse movies already curbstomp No Way Homes sad attempt at adapting the spiderverse story but it is hilarious how across the spiderverse really highlights just how little impact toms peter has on the spiderman mythos overall. Theres like 3 direct references and 1 swipe to the mcu but nothing of them are about peter nor is peter even directly featured like everyother prominent version of spiderman in media. Fucking the spidercar is included as its own character! Truly just little ironboy jr with no meaningful, lasting identifying ties to Peter Parker and his legacy

god reaching the end of season 3 and seeing the sokovia accords play a huge part in the show henceforth (until the team accidentally does a time loop and the show goes full sci-fi) is like getting a glimpse into an MCU that actually paid attention to its politics and world building in a meaningful way, instead of the garbage inconsequential slop we got post endgame.

Blade: dude can i please kill vampires thats literally what i do
Kevin Feige, snorting heavy amounts of cocaine: no. we need you to team up with starlord to take kamala khan and peter parker on a road trip to defeat modok and set up captain america 5 and make room for at least 15 different credits cameos. we need to make sure this movie drains every possible cent from every demographic possible. its the will of the shareholders blade. dont you understand?
Blade, sighing heavily: some mothafuckas always tryna iceskate uphill....
Mickey Mouse, materializing out of the void to beat Blade within an inch of his life for saying an r-rated word:

something i really hate about marvel fans is how they harp about it being the most successful and consistent franchise in existence and it's abundantly clear they've never actually bothered to explore the media that exists outside of the mainstream. like it's just capitalism + marketing + corporate influence the mcu’s success is indicative of nothing but the forces of capitalism that are constantly at work in the unseen crevices of society

The increasing backlash to the Secret Wars MCU show has been kind of fascinating to observe. I haven't watched the show itself, but I have seen reactions to it grow more and more negative with every episode. I wonder why.
Is there something uniquely bad about it? Or is this more a "straw that broke the camel's back" situation? Or both?
I know that Rotten Tomatoes is easily gamed but I feel like its rare for a superhero property to hit 8% audience rating even temporarily.

Mcu has always been badly written, the only reason it's fandom keeps hating on phase 4 is because it's more inclusive honestly

I think that they should make movie theaters that ONLY show MCU movies and then let normal theaters be for every other kind of movie so that I don’t have to interact with MCU people anymore

Me, 2013: Hah hah, I don’t really like MCU Tony Stark but I that’s just my opinion and if others like him, idolize him even, it’s fine. It’s fiction after all.
Me now: Tony Stark is awful both in-universe and In Reality, and if you like him you are actually incorrect.

You know what. I'm just gonna fucking say it. With the possible exception of Ragnarok every single MCU movie after Winter Soldier was bad. And the ones before it weren't good either, they just had more redeeming qualities and potential. That of course was flagrantly wasted. When the quality took a nosedive off a fucking cliff.

just saw a license plate that said MCU FN. my question is why FN instead of FAN? license plates can have up to seven characters, there was plenty of room. was the A killed off for shock value or something?

OMG DID YOU WATCH ANTMAN??? And did you see the post credit scene????
i'm gonna be honest, i haven't properly sat down and fully watched anything marvel since multiverse of madness. mostly because the recent content is just... not for me. the cgi is terrible, the writing is, well, bad, and frankly the characters they've managed to introduce have been far less interesting than their predecessors.
but to actually answer your question, no i haven't seen it. and i probably won't watch it after seeing what they did to my boy modok. the poor man looks like an absolute fucking goof.
also considering i didn't love loki season one i'm pretty hesitant to get excited, even with the news of his return through the post credit scene.
honestly, the only thing i'm really excited for is to see ke huy quan and to get another banger soundtrack from natalie holt!
