The locals who live in Strangerville will tell you that the blink-and-you'll-miss-it-town lives up to its peculiar name. Full of secrets, government espionage, unsolved mysteries, reclusive misfits, and an abundance of sordid stories of the past only known through word of mouth, this quaint little military town is much more than meets the eye.

Ted and Meredith are to StrangerVille what the Landgraabs are to Oasis Springs, or should I say were since Geoffrey and Nancy recently passed away from suspicious circumstances.

These two are an interesting duo. Ted does not have much substance and despite his evil and paranoid ways he is a loving husband and father, and enjoy’s gardening. Meredith has already maxed her cooking skill and is a mighty fine chief. She doesn’t work instead choosing to raise a family and tend to the upkeep of their overly large home.

For Christmas this year, we visited Sulani to stay with Uncle Jupiter. It was the craziest Christmas ever! All my cousins were there - Evan, Brad, Misty, Nicole, and Cedar. I'm used to spending the winter holiday walking around on slushy streets, but instead, we were swimming and surfing! When there was a storm, we hung out inside and played games while the rain came pounding down outside. It was so cool, I wish I lived in Sulani, but Mom says university first.

After getting their twins fed, changed and laid down for their naps, August and Aubree Lewis are set to interview the last two candidates to be Edgar Allan and Emily’s nanny. The first interview is with Meredith Roswell, widow of Ted Roswell – former mayor of Strangerville.

Aubree asks Mrs. Roswell why she’s interested in being a Nanny and in BrindleBay, when she’s been living in Strangerville for years.

“Well, after my dear Teddy died, I just need a change, you know? That town is so strange sometimes, I worry about our son. People walk around, twitching and saying something about some Mother and I just don’t want him to fall in with those weird people or the aliens there.” Meredith rambles on. 

Aubree and August share a look and August politely tells her that they will be in touch.

The next and last applicant is Paris Hale. A young lady that has just moved to Brindleton Bay.

“We have two babies’, they can be a handful when both are crying and demanding to be fed at the same time.” August explains to Miss Hale, stress and lack of sleep evident in his tone.

“He didn’t sleep much last night.” Aubree supplies to the young lady. Miss Hale might be their last hope and she doesn’t want to the girl off.

“That’s why routine for babies’ is so important. I grew up in a orphanage and helped take care of the younger kids once I got older. Miss Penny always had us all set on routines. If you get one twin used to eating just a bit before the other one, it usually helps. It’s not full proof but it usually helps.” Miss Hale responds. 

“What brought you to BrindleBay?” Aubree asks her, filing away the young woman’s suggestion – even if they don’t hire her. It wouldn’t hurt to try after all. 

“Miss Penny passed away about six months ago. All the remaining kids at the orphanage were adopted and since I’m of age, I no longer had a home there.” Paris explains, looking down sadly. Miss Penny or as she had called her, Mama Penny, had been the only mother she had ever known until she recently connected with her birth Mother. “My birth Mother and I recently met up and we’re trying to get to know one another. She lives here.”

August feels sad for the young woman, family is the most important thing in the world to him. He can’t imagine growing up like she did. He isn’t sure what to say, thankfully his wife is way better with words than he is.

“So you plan to stay close to your birth Mother?” Aubree questions, not that she don’t feel for the girl but she wants to make sure she doesn’t possibly hire someone who is just going to flake out and leave. 

“I do.” Pais confirms, gathering herself and looking back up at her potential employers. “I know I don’t have years of being a nanny under my belt like some of the people who have applied for this position, no doubt, but I am good with kids and this is what I plan to be my career for years to come.”

The Lewis’ tell Miss Hale they’ll be in touch, just like they did with Mrs. Roswell. They have a decision to make.

A Strangerville Lookbook, pt. 7 Ft. Meredith Roswell

The Roswells seem to have it all, but no one knows how empty material wealth or arbitrary status can feel better than the Mayor's wife, Meredith. There are rumors and speculation around town that Ted and Meredith's marriage may not be as happy and stable as they'd like the public to think, but the whispers got worse after their son up and left his childhood home and has yet to return. That being said, aside from Ted's infamous temper there's very little to back up anything coming from the rumor-mill. But even with the charming and charismatic mayoress keeping suspicion at bay, the recent string of inexplicable and outright odd happenings around town might just finally reveal the cards that the Roswells have fought hard to keep close to their chest... and a bad marriage might only be the tip of the iceberg.
