okay so i finally finished it... allow me to present a comprehensive, chronological compilation of miles and alex singing *THAT* moment in standing next to me for the whole eycte tour 🌟
this video took me the better part of two months to make, and cost me a not insignificant part of my sanity (related: i may never want to hear this song again), so yeah... i hope you enjoy 😅
Adorable little “Happy!” Proceeds to play one of the saddest songs ever (Al said during one concert that the song is “a very simple love song about what might have been; https://youtu.be/4YP7lRbNh6Y , here is one where they are Chasing each other https://youtu.be/UFmMHSHVPPE , and here in the beginning we can see two uhm interesting things in their pants https://youtu.be/Fu2C-zA9hY8 )
I love these recording vids of them both so much
"i'm sorry i left you" is the more outwardly sad line but "i'm sorry i met you" is life destroying and infinitely worse

When you only find a hardcore Milex shipper to interview them this is so priceless 🤣
Well I’m Alex Turner from the last shadow puppets and I play the awooo and this is Miles and I am Miles from the last shadow puppets and I play the midnight moon (the wolf and the moon just a mic drop Moment well done Miles with your quick wit)
After multiple moments pondering if he should tell what he got Miles for Valentine’s Day mentally hearing his publicist saying “remember you’re straight” -> well it’s not like that cat, I feel like Valentine’s Day is reserved for a different kind of love 🤣🫶🏽
This interview is a treasure
The boys (mainly Miles) have stated that they often meet up and just hang out on each others couch and catch up with what the others been doing and Mile said that they played/showed each other their new songs and I’m wondering if they only do that in the finished state or also during the beginning of composing the songs and do they only want to have the others honest opinion about them or do they als share the stories behind the songs like :”remember that one time we went for dinner together… yeah that’s what this one’s about”
been a casual artic monkeys listener for a while but discovered the last shadow puppets a few weeks ago and...... now ive fallen deep, deep. gobbled up the whole tslp discography in days, binged every live performance vid on yt, watched every milex edit, scavenged thru the internet to find any scrap of interview and finally resurrected my dead tumblr acc to join u guys.
so here i am.
i dunno if this blog will be anything much more than me just obsessively crying over alex's lyrics and miles' guitar playing. but i do listen to a lot of classical music and a fair bit of 60s/70s folk rock etc so yeah. there might be some of that.
if i had a nickel for every time alex turner told all of glastonbury he shares a bed with miles kane, i’d have two nickels. which isn't a lot, but it's still weird that it’s happened twice…
it’s the way alex’s eyes flicker momentarily to miles’s mouth as he says “on a…” for me (and the accompanying tiny little smirk) (and the stuttering) (and the way he’s suddenly unable to make eye contact with miles after miles’s “table” comment) (actually, it’s just all of it)
