awwh, hi there jingles! 💛✨ it's so good to hear from you again! i missed you a lot during my hiatus okay, i love seein' your name back in my notifs! thank you for givin' me an excuse to talk about the hadleys: they helped me fall back in love w the sims and i adore them!

the hadleys, plus tia + her family, are thirteen strong and four generations deep! it began when i was limited to playing on my mac with minimal cc, and thus, steven hadley was born. i wanted to start from uni and see where the game would lead me - the game spawned rangi as one of her dorm roomies, and from there it was history.

steven and rangi were thick as thieves. they would prank each other's toilets, autonomously buzzer each other, and kiss and canoodle just as much. when i tell you these sims showed me the delight of autonomous sim romances! even if they're little lines of code, they genuinely loved one another.

rangi kealoha (the green ghost who i forgot to take solo pics of oh god) is headcanon'd into the universe as makoa's cousin (maternal), and the two of them moved to sulani after they graduated college. they had their baby boy blue very early (before they graduated) thanks to rangi's family aspiration, and their twin daughters selene and luna followed shortly after: they took the kids to selvadorada when they all aged up (they were all abt 4 days apart in age bc i was very impatient on my mac lmao) and were married at the top of a temple!

because i'm impatient as hell, the hadleys developed a tradition of their heirs leaving home once they aged up into a teen (because i was not dealing with children and teens goin to school all at once on a tiny little macbook) and blue moved out to live with his godmother, lilith pleasant (who was hot af, steven's best friend, and just died in-game rip) in glimmerbrook.

fascinated by magic and spells since his youth (he befriended dolphins in sulani and would stay up "reading under the covers" for ages), blue was exhaustive in his search for a way to the magic realm. once he got there, he was determined to become a spellcaster: and simeon silversweater, though reluctant and certainly irritated by this plucky newcomer, hesitantly agreed to turn him into one.

and then blue developed a crush on him when he aged up and i let it play out because i'm a dirty, dirty sinner.

(the glows around them are their immortality overlays! blue worked tirelessly to craft perfect potions of immortality for himself and his lover: seeing as his dad just passed in-game, he's kinda regretting not making some for his parents dfhkld)

circe hadley was blue and simeon's firstborn: same gender couples can have genetic babies in my game with no questions, bc it's the sims. she was originally going to be the third generation's heir before i went back to blue and simeon's household and discovered tia. (her original randomized name before i retrograded it to tiamat)

circe followed hadley tradition and moved to strangerville when she aged up. i wanted to play through all the packs i hadn't bothered with in my first few playthroughs! circe met tristan (her now-husband whose last name i forget woops) when she was gathering information for the strangerville mystery - he was a military agent at the time.

(yes he was also a young adult at the time they met i'm a piece of trash)

the two of them saved strangerville together (alongside jess sigworth and erwin pries) and moved to brindleton bay to start a family. their daughter carolina (left, firstborn) and their son rango (right, secondborn) were the first great-grandbabies of the hadley legacy, and rangi was able to meet them both before he passed. 🥺

needless to say, i am very excited to explore the new family-themed pack with these guys! i loved my not-so-berry family, but playing the game fully sandboxed within the realm of the hadleys was such a fun and inspiring way to get me back to what i loved about gameplay as a kid (long before reshades and screenshots and edits), and for that i will love them so so so much.

hi, of course! he's a slob, loner & cheerful. he got the little popup that comes with growing together (i think?) which said that "bob has been feeling very happy lately, maybe things aren't so gloomy after all" or something along those lines that changed his gloomy trait to cheerful. i was like "huh makes sense" as he's been released from the shackles of his unhappy marriage, so i accepted it.

he also has two extra traits that are paranoid and animal enthusiast. :-)

I just stumbled onto this blog and I love how dreamy your decades founders look! Also, it looks like Violet has albinism which is something I normally never see in Decades Challenge but I love her design!

Hello beautiful! Thank you so much for your kind words! I spent about a month making and re-making the founders. It takes me a long time to look at my Sims and go 'ah yes, there you are, you're what I've been picturing'. And yes, Violet has albinism which is also where her name comes from! Her late mother also had it as well.

I haven't seen many questions about my girl Maggie Pries so, if it's okay to ask, what was Maggie like when she was a child? Or alternatively, what did she wanna do for work or be when she grows up? ( Hopefully this alternative question makes sense! 😅)

AHHHH OMG I cannot even describe to you the amount of unbridled joy I experienced when I saw you ask about my dearly beloved Maggie!! She means the world to me, you can absolutely ask me anything about her. I agree I have not gotten many asks about her so I'm very excited right now!!

As a child, Maggie was complex. She was selectively affectionate, resistant to most authority, and extremely blunt. She loved her parents but fought with them constantly. She was a protective big sister, but most of the time she was terrified that she wasn't good enough (Erwin would tell you that she was the best big sister). She had a hard time making friends because she never quite fit in (always considered too argumentative, loud, or moody). That being said, if you gave Maggie a chance, she would become the best ride-or-die in your corner: the girl is fiercely loyal. She was a highly sensitive child who cried a lot and loved to talk (mostly about whatever hyperfixation she had at that moment. Her and Erwin share this trait). She also was an extremely creative child, she got into art pretty much as soon as she could hold a crayon. She has a handful of mental and neurological disorders that were fortunately caught at a young age, but even so she still went through a period around age 12 - 15 where her mental illness was giving her a really hard time. She wasn't a great student, not because she didn't want to be but because traditional school was challenging for her and she felt like she was always two steps behind her peers. She got into trouble often and didn't always have the best judgment, but despite her brashness, there was a gentle side to her that was just yearning to love and be loved.

Honestly, for most of her life Maggie didn't know if she'd ever get to "grow up," so she didn't do a lot of dreaming about the future. Once she started feeling better/more in control of her life, she started dreaming of going to art school. She wanted to make art (photography and mixed media mainly, but she loved pottery and painting too) and maybe even get to a point where she could teach some classes at a community center or something like that. She wanted to live in the city, have lots of pets, live within walking distance of some good restaurants, learn a new language (or 2), be able to afford an art museum pass of her own, and make art that came from her soul (even if that meant she had to pick up a second job that was more "stable"). I think she really just wanted to be happy, because she spent so many years of her life feeling like happiness was out of her reach.

I will be absolutely honest with you when I saw that Noelle was having a bachelorette challenge I got confused like "IS THIS AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE OR???" so I'm so glad that the reason for the challenge is happening. Rosalie doesn't pass the vibe for her infidelity tho

oh yes, i was like diabolically laughing while posting the noellebc without context, bc i knew people would be guessing and what not! the bc takes place in the future of the same universe (basically i played through it a bit more to the point where the girls are teens and decided i wanted noelle to have someone before closing her chapter!)

tbh rosalie's infedelity was something i totally didn't plan. the pop up was autonomous, and at that point i was getting bored of noelle's generation (bc she had just maxed out the fame track + acting career). i used one of those wheel spinners to decide and it ended up saying "yes"! i also switched households to divya and romanced rosalie to see if she was receptive or not and well, here we are!
