i managed to find a first wave skulltimate secrets draculaura for a decent price. description said she comes with all her accessories and was only displayed, so i bought her since i’m really looking for her and she tends to sell pretty quickly when she’s listed for a good price and brand new

the issue ?? she came and had this odd smell to her :(( the description didn’t say she did and now i’m trying to get rid of it >.< also, i’m not sure what the smell is. my guess is cigarette smoke since that tends to attach itself to stuff but i can’t say for sure. i’ve never had anything that reeks of cigarette smoke so idk what it smells like on dolls or objects T_T

also, the box didn’t smell like anything and no scent came out when i opened it either… it’s just the locker, doll and everything else which to me makes everything even weirder

she arrived yesterday so i washed her with dish soap. didn’t do much i guess. it did help fix and soften her hair though !! even went full on disinfectant on her. i sprayed her with lysol and put hand sanitizer on her and the accessories. still didn’t do anything ?? i even sprayed her with rubbing alcohol and nothing :((

today i drowned her in vinegar for over an hour, followed by another dish soap wash, and then more vinegar. let’s hope that works >.< i left doll, locker and accessories to dry outside in the sun and she’ll stay there until tomorrow. probably not a good idea but idk what to do anymore😭

if the smell doesn’t go away, i’ll be forced to get rid of her. i know that’s bad and a waste and i truly don’t wanna do that cuz i really want this drac, but i don’t know what to do anymore. i don’t want an item like this in the house and i don’t wanna donate it cuz that’ll only put it in someone else’s home and possibly given to a child

perhaps i’ll give her another drowning in vinegar (??) but if it doesn’t work, she’ll have to go :((

i looked up how to get rid of cigarette smoke on dolls and all methods seem to simply mask the smell and not truly get rid of it (??), so i went with vinegar since it seemed like the most disinfectant method >.<

i hope it works. i really want her and i don’t wanna throw her out. sure, you could also point out it was a waste of money but money comes back so it truly doesn’t matter to me at this point >.<

sorry for the ramble >.< i had to let out my slight frustrations with this. kinda wack since i was hunting down this drac, which is super hard to find for a decent price, and she might have to go :((

WOW ok I was about to make a post saying I don't like most of the Fearidiscent dolls but I went to look at more photos of them and they're growing on me actually.

All the tall shoes are kind of ehhhh. I think Cleo's are the best, and Frankie's are in second. And the rest are just... Idk what they're going for. The short shoes are all bomb though. Want.

Dracs clothes are very cute (the peter pan collar!!!! And the cupcake skirt!) Frankie is also looking slay (they're so cool in silver), I like that Clawdeen has an awooo wolf howling at the moon shirt that's awesome. And lagoona and Cleo I'm just not sold on at all idk.
