What you said about Phangirls and Twihards reminds me of Labyrinth fangirls (which earlgraytay has talked a bit about recently) and fans of dominatrix-esque villainesses (one such fan being thefingerfuckingfemalefury, another being me). On the topic of 50 Shades, I've even jokingly referred to my fantasies about Phasma capturing and interrogating me as "50 Shades Of Chrome"

Goodness it’s depressing to think how Problematique Labyrinth would be now, and how everyone would be ranting that it’s just TERRIBLE to like the Goblin King (he kidnaps a baby! and endangers it by tossing it around!), never mind that he’s David Bowie being fun and sexy and surrounded by Muppetts.
