adrenaline is at an all time high around the camp, with the banishment of murphy, and the blossoming chaos of the almost murder of a fellow delinquent seems to be fueled by the promise that punishment comes to those who they feel deserving of, feeding into a blood lust that pools as a collective group, desperate for justice; hungry to seek salvation to act as soothing balm to their own demons. bellamy runs a tired hand down his face as he shrugs off his jacket inside the heart of his tent, the barely there illumination of the campfire outside enough to light up a warm glow inside.

bellamy drags an exhausted hand down along the side of his face as he shrugs off his jacket within the heart of his tent; mind still reeling from the day, behind closed eyelids play the reminder of charlotte jumping. when he hears the material of the tent's opening flaps, there's a growl that bites his throat as he takes a guess to who it must be. "clarke, i already told you that i don't want to talk about-" bellamy starts, turning on his heel with his eyes prepared to glare daggers, but instinctively, his gaze softens when he finds someone else waiting for him. "zayden," bellamy whispers, a tick within his jaw as he straightens his spine, refusing to allow @skaikruzayden to see the way that he makes the delinquent leader's muscles relax with his mere presence. "what do you want?" bellamy asks gruffly, his rough around the edges timbre scratched with a bite that he doesn't mean to offer to the other.

I'm having a lot of feelings about 1x11 as is to be expected. Bellamy saying what he wants to say and then saying but I'm not the guy who says stuff like that to keep up his selfish asshole image despite clearly Caring So Much the entire episode. Immediately asking raven if it helped, knowing it didn't but hoping it did anyway. How clarke says only people who can be spared should go hunt, but when clarke, finn, and myles don't come back, it's raven, Octavia, Bellamy, and monty who go search for them, all arguably essential personnel.

And then when they find myles, Bellamy does exactly what he would have done if he had been there when they were attacked. He says they need to get myles, who is extremely injured, back to camp. He immediately says he's sorry to raven when he finds out that clarke and Finn were taken, because he assumes that means they're dead or worse, but he can focus on and save this one person, myles, who is in direct danger and in need of help.

#it's such a good br/aven ep obviously but its also such a good ep that showcases who bellamy really is at his core #because these things persist! #it goes on my list of bellamy always had the ability to use his head im tired of this dichotomy list #bc instead of bringing others and risking them after dark (esp after roma died going after o) he makes the logical call #and he won't leave myles behind #and you see moving forward how often he protects or chooses to protect someone who is in direct danger even at the expense of those who will #be later / eventually #murphy goes for echos suit because emori is gonna die without the helmet #and bellamy stops him because taking off echos suit dooms her and shes in direct danger of being killed #even tho emori is also dying #anyway im back hi his biggest defender and examiner always ❤️ #muse: bellamy blake #meta: bellamy blake

this is a matter of life and death. ( bellamy )

there's a grit that takes to bellamy's jaw as he watches the stirring delinquents, the hunger and the desperation for some semblance of justice clawing to the surface of their resolve. they may be just teenagers, but they grew up having to fight and bleed just to survive on the ark. bellamy can relate a bit to that; because he knows that deep down, the delinquents are just scared. if the grounders are no longer the only people picking them off one by one, if they start to turn against one another and kill each other, then where does the line in the sand end? he feels at war with himself, with the way that he knows the delinquents are looking to him for answers, to help guide them as a leader; but he feels much more like a coward in this moment with the way that he almost wants to shrink back into his tent, turn a blind eye, and let them fight. he watches cautiously as murphy barely hangs from the tree, a noose wrapped around his neck, threatening him with the promise of what the delinquents are yearning.

justice for wells? bellamy scoffs at the notion that the delinquents actually want to seek justice for the chancellor's son. they just have hunger for blood, to get back at the delinquent who has been tormenting them for weeks under bellamy's nose. zay's voice pulls him back, and for a miniscule second, bellamy considers calling it all off. being the bigger person, and try to find some way so that everyone is statisfied without having to be at the expense of someone's life. but in the heat of the moment, with rousing delinquents yelling and screaming for bellamy to make a move, such as kick the chair from beneath murphy's feet; bellamy finds that not even zay's calming presence can draw him back. because before he knows it, bellamy is moving towards murphy with a steely resolve, and something to prove.

octavia blake believes her biggest flaw is she's selfish. she wants what she wants, she goes after what she wants, and she often does not think of the consequences to her or anyone else because it is what she wants. octavia while she would loathe to admit it, absolutely needs people and at the end of the day because of the codependent way in which she was raised to be with her FAMILY; to octavia needing someone that is not bellamy is one of the most selfish things she can do. needing them to care for her. love her. all those things...while she deeply craves it, it also wars with how terribly selfish she thinks she is.

nicklas williams believes his biggest flaw is his aggressiveness. in his mind aggressive people like his father, and himself tend to have hostile or violent behaviour. both of which nicklas feels that is all he is at his core. like his father's ability to disregard others’ rights, nick understands that he is also capable of this. while he dislikes it about himself nicklas tends to rely on his impulses and has been known to threaten others and make them feel unsafe. to him, if he gets pushed to a certain point where he cannot bring it back down, he moves from making others feel unsafe, to simply being unsafe around. to him, this is his deepest flaw.
