Enhanced version of EA's Chinese Dragon Lamp from "Year of the Dragon Set" 2012 Chinese New Year set from Sims 3 Store.

This is standalone object, Base Game compatible, no Expansion Pack needed, not default replacement.

Adding more specular so the statue appears more shinier.

I recoloured the EA's default statue (red), because the most common colour for Lóng （ Chinese dragon） is gold. Gold is the most common colour for Chinese Dragon sculptures, second is green. Whoever designer worked in EA Maxis San Francisco when creating this object clearly didn't consult to Chinese people first or never seen Chinese dragon sculptures in their lifetime.

The Sims Shares New “Season of Love” Roadmap

The Sims has just shared on its social media channels a new roadmap for this upcoming season, only this time they are not giving us a time frame as to when these things are coming to the game.

Update: The image The Sims shared on TikTok and Instagram says the roadmap covers from May to August. You can see it on the bottom of this page, thanks to @mario_principe.

The roadmap promises two free updates, two new kits and one expansion pack. Watch the video below.

This preview confirms last week’s leak from Twitter user @Anadius, who has leaked stuff before, about the two upcoming “destination” kits. One seems to be focused on French cafés, while the other one is for backyards and pools.

ALL MINE ♡ STATES CHALLENGE RESULTS!

🎀 february 6th

i started my challenge the day i posted it so 2/4 and hopefully ending 2/18. my main goal was not being at war in my own mind and instead asking myself when i was in a state I didn’t resonate with;

“who am I?”

“is this the energy I want to embody?”

“would the me who has xyz act this way?”

and this was only the first day—it was like a switch went off and I’ve been feeling so fluid ever since. like personally, the resistance at first can be a bitchhh depending on how you look at it. but my mind has finally accepted that imagination is the only reality like there is nothing i need to worry about or do or change but my state of awareness. and I start to find myself smiling and shit in class because in my 4D I’m doing shit for my business and idk that shit just feels so transformative. *updating every few days!

I have a quiz today so a good day to updatee, im manifesting good grades as well without really trying and being the person who bullshits but still passes with all A’s. my goal for this challenge is not to check the 3D consciously—as long as my dominant state is a state of having/being then I have nothing to worry about! doing an edward art meditation before class laterr—ttyl!!! update—improved my grades and got a B on my calc quiz! + im understanding calc + harder econ which is insanee to me

so I got hit up by my graphics design client/manager that made me HELLA money in 2020 for a commission + an upcoming event… y’all long story short I have multiple jobs lined up. I also been spending time alone and spoiling myself and I got this cute ass belly ring likee period. im meditating again tonight (Edward Art) but I feel so confident. I am also adding 5 more days because I checked the 3D/wavered about something business-related so my new end date is 2/23!

so im finally done with my challenge which felt like it flew by. everything I manifested—

• freelance opportunities + getting commissions for my graphic design business. my second business is also starting to grow, i even have models lined up (,:

• I literally always have money + my parents got better jobs opportunities—n when I say this shit manifested I mean I’m doing A LOT better financially

• my skin is so clear and my hairs easy to do??? I used to struggle a bit but now I can do it within 30mins-1hr + my hair’s now likee 4a/3c and touches my mid back its growing pretty quick

• playing the sims 4 again + hella expansion packs games would literally break my computers b4

• my dimples are prominent asfff! I have a lil more freckles too ((:

• buying whatever I want/getting it bought for me like new piercings + haircare + stiiizy pods + having my nails done when I want

• wasn’t even focused on my body at first but I asked myself how I would feel/react if I had my desired body and y’all.. over the last 2ish weeks I noticed I have the most toned stomach I’ve ever had and my butt grew an inch?? likee I haven’t worked out n my body only looks better

• my relationship is so perfect! my bf plans dates and stuff and suggests cute shit all the time for ex. he wants to take me to see the snow for the first time and were going on a trip next month for our anniversary <3

• i literally doodle in class, bullshit my hw, n still get good grades

these were the things I was really focused on during February but overall I’m super super happy with my results!! ౨ৎ

Reminders for the upcoming TS4 update!

Simmers, the new expansion pack For Rent comes out on December 7th and as we all know, big updates can mess with your game especially if you use mods. I've learned my lesson from the last few updates and I'd like to give some suggestions to help!

Note: I use the EA App for Sims 4, on a Windows computer. The methods I describe here will probably not apply to MAC users. I also don't know if these work for pirated games so just be careful!

-BACK UP YOUR SAVES. Just in case your save gets corrupted or the update somehow manages to lose your saves (this has happened to me- after the update, my saves were gone). Here's what I do:

Navigate to your "Sims 4" folder. In my case it's Documents>Electronic Arts>Sims 4.

Find your "saves" folder and right-click to copy it.

Paste your copy of your saves folder to your desktop (some people paste to their external hard drive as well, but I'm not sure how to do this)

Right click on your copy to rename it. It's a good idea to write the date on which you copied your folder. Here's my current backup:

Your saves are now backed up! If you lose your files in the game or they become corrupted, open up your backup folder, then select and copy all the files in the folder and then paste them into your actual saves folder. Your saves will then be restored! You should do this every so often just in case. I try and back up my saves once a month.

-Turn off automatic updates. This way you can choose when to update your game. I personally wait until mod creators start updating their mods and then update the game.

Open the EA App and head to your settings, then the "downloads" tab.

Turn off the "update games automatically" option.

When you're ready, update the game and enjoy!

-Follow mod creators on social media. If you use mods, it's a good idea to keep up with updates and what the creators are up to. When there's a huge Sims update, many mods (especially script mods) tend to break and need to be updated by the creators. Keeping up with them allows you to see what their plans are for updating the mods. Creators use many different platforms, but from what I've seen most tend to use Tumblr, Patreon, and Twitter/X to post updates. If I find a mod I really like, I always follow the creator. They also deserve tons of support for their amazing work!

-Know which mods are broken and updated. In addition to following mod creators, there are multiple threads that log all mods with each update. They tell us which mods are broken, which are updated, and which were unaffected by the update. If you're experiencing a glitch with a mod, you can report it on these threads. Here are examples of threads from previous updates:

Always check these before writing to an official Sims/EA forum about a glitch. If you use script mods, the bugs you're experiencing will most likely be from these mods. Also, if you use UI mods like UI Cheats, don't freak out if your UI looks like this:

Your game isn't corrupted, the mod is just outdated. UI Cheats almost always breaks after a big update. The creator of UI Cheats updates frequently, so make sure to check up on their Patreon page.

-Check in with the community if you have a bug. The Sims Forums, r/Sims4 on Reddit, and Simblr are good places to go if you have a question about a bug you're having. r/Sims4 was a lifesaver for everyone who had the dreaded tooth glitch in Growing Together. If you're having a non-mod related bug, chances are others are having it too, so don't feel afraid to ask!

Important Notice About Upcoming Sims Patch/Pack

Hi everyone. I hope you are as excited as I am about infants and the other changes coming to the base game, as well as the Growing Together expansion that will be released next week for The Sims 4.

Unfortunately, these changes mean that many mods will break.

I will be in the hospital from March 19 through the 25th for cancer surgery, and will likely be unable to work on my mods for a week or so after that.

As soon as I am able, probably in April, I will work on updating my mods. I will appreciate your patience as I am recovering.

Meet Jamila and Nella Kerr, my Sims for the upcoming For Rent expansion pack mini-series. Jamila is a world-traveling single mom who homeschools her daughter Nella. She's also a photographer and painter, capturing beaty wherever she lands. Originally from San Sequoia, she's currently at home base in the beautiful row home she shares with her older sister while preparing for her next adventure in Tomarang.

Nella is always down for a trip and she is most excited for the beaches! I can't wait to share the story I've come up with for this Mama and her beautiful baby. I tend to go for more chocolate lady sims like myself so I had a good time trying out a new look for these characters. Stay tuned for more! Stupid Fun Club: Will Wright Leaves Maxis

Will Wright has left EA to start up an "entertainment think tank" that EA is investing in. It's called Stupid Fun Club. “The entertainment industry is moving rapidly into an era of revolutionary change,” said Will Wright. “Stupid Fun Club will explore new possibilities that are emerging from this sublime chaos and create new forms of entertainment on a variety of platforms.” EA will get the right to develop any game concepts produced by the think tank. New gameplay inspired by the upcoming expansion pack “Growing together” (I seriously can’t wait for it to come out).  Meet the Williams! Josephine is a bookworm, art lover and neat sim (📚🎨🧼). Born and raised in Brindle Bay where she grew up with her mother, Nicolette. Their relationship has always been complicated and rocky, so she couldn’t wait to move from home and get to college. She had to work a lot to get her degree in communications with honors from Britechester University as things in her life have never come easy. Daniel is the perfect guy on the paper - he’s a romantic, family-oriented and loyal sim (💖👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💍). Daniel comes from an influential family in Willow Creek and he’s never had to fight or struggle for anything (which is where he and Josephine clashes with each other occasionally, specially when raising their children). He has a degree in engineering from Foxbury Institute and works as a mechanical engineer.  Daniel and Josephine met during their college years in the local pub in Britechester. Josephine was definitely not looking for anything serious at the time - and to be a little honest, she thought Daniel was a bit “too perfect” for her chaotic life. He, however, was immediately smitten by her looks and personality, he just knew she was his future wife the day they met. After a long time of dating on-and-off, he finally managed to put a ring on her finger and they settled down in a house in the suburbs of Willow Creek (that Daniel’s parents bought for them as a wedding gift).  Immediately after getting married to each-other, Josephine gave birth to Elle. Elle immediately became the life of her whole family. She is really close to her  grandparents’ on Daniel’s side, and despite the complicated relationship between Josephine and her mom, Nicolette, she still allowed her to have a relationship with their daughter. When Elle turned two, Josephine gave birth to Liam. Liam is a wild, wild kid but he completes their little family.  Now that the family has grown a bit more, and the kids cannot stop asking the parents for a puppy, the family decided it was time to move to the new family homes that were recently built in Newcrest. What’s next in their lives? Well, only time will tell!

Although the game isn't perfect, it does get close to it with these five additional mods. “For Rent”: New Teaser Video Highlights Create a Sim Items

There’s a new short teaser video for the upcoming The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack. This one highlights Create a Sim (CAS) items and the new personality traits.

The video shows clothes, accessories, hairstyles and a new tattoo while also showing the animations for the five new traits: Cringe, Generous, Nosy, Child of the Village and Wise (this last one being specific for Elders and gained through gameplay).
