i was gonna say 20 is a lot but i fucking hate the mdzs book so much (and im guessing you mean mdzs anon?) that i think i’m gonna hit 20 easily. this isnt in any order bc idk how i could order these lmao

sex where lwj is drunk and thus cant consent

miscommunication after sex as a plot device 

the fact that it’s implied wwx is straight in his first life and gay in his second (him wondering if being gay is contagious bc he took mxy’s body)

going off of this.... the fact that mxy is gay and effeminate and sooo much smaller and shorter than lwj. oh and also he’s a lunatic :/

i felt like a whole bunch of the characters weren’t fleshed out enough? nmj barely appears in the flashbacks even though it’s his death theyre investigting. jgy is barely mentioned before they start suspecting him. 

related to point 17 but deserves its own point: yi city arc. i just don’t care for it. in the book it’s even worse because xxc, sl and xy don’t even appear earlier in the novel, and everything about them is infodumped on wwx by lwj. it’s just too exposition heavy

idk dude just the lack of tenderness in wangxian? there are like maybe 3 scenes that i thought were cute, but like. this is supposed to be a romance. where’s the romance 

this isnt necessarily In the book itself but mxtx saying she only wants one gay couple in her novels bc it’s ‘realistic’. this is extremely funny when you think about how mxy died to bring back wwx like the quota of gay characters must not exceed two!!!!!!!
