Hello.

Welcome on our blog, here we will talk about Motorcycle adventure, We are a couple, Aurelien & Loraine, who travel on motorcycle with our dog Igor.

Our bike's a new Yamaha Tenere Rally an awesome bike, perfect for adventure. We rode the old Super Tenere XTZ 750 60'000km around Southern Europe. The XTZ 750 almost hit the 100'000km and she started to become old. We choice to remplace here by the new one.

Awesome group of people! Repost from @runfrommonday . We had a great time at the 2018 Northwest Overland Rally! Just a couple years ago, we were timidly asking questions about water purification and border crossings. Now we're honored to be part of the group of experienced travelers able to provide the answers. This year was definitely a year for the ladies, with several events focused solely on the women in our lives. Taylor and the Vagabroads saw a massive interest in their group Women Overlanding the World and an upcoming secret project they're putting together for all the adventure minded chicas out there.. Four Wheel Campers was kind enough to put us up in one of their display models, so we felt right at home each night. It was fun to chat with current and future camper owners and share our passion for our little casa rodante. We also got to catch up with old friends, meet a ton of new ones, and I *almost* got my fill of good, free, Northwest brewed IPA. Los Winkles have had quite the adventure this weekend. We made a very last minute decision to get out of town and into an AirBnB classic Airstream. It is set up in the middle of nowhere in northern Az. It was an off grid experience with no A/C, limited electricity based on a solar and battery combo. We hit the south rim of the Grand Canyon and then on Sunday we visited @bearizona and snuck into a public park south of Sedona to swim in oak creek. Work: Failure. I tested my remote work capability and it was next to worthless as cell service was terrible and I depend on my cell for a hotspot. Im thinking a @weboost unit is in my future. Kids: the kids loved it because we were all trapped in a WiFi free sweat box with only ourselves to be with. After a bit they got cranky so we drove to the Grand Canyon which was 40 minutes away. Early the next morning we left and visited bearizona which was absolutely worth it. Love: The wife and I really needed to get away. We’ve had some great opportunities during all This election/covid madness. Being that there were no real light sources, we watched the sun go down and the stars light up. We slept with the windows open on tiny beds with kids smashed to our sides. It actually got cold at one point. It was fresh. Acknowledgments: I am one lucky hombre. Leaving Sat morning early and coming back Sunday afternoon we spent roughly $550. $100 in gas. $150 in grocery/takeout. $100 for Grand Canyon + Bearizona $200 lodging and supplies. Not everyone is able to do that. I am so very lucky to have hit a gene pool lottery that has made succeeding easier then for others. I’m not saying that I don’t work hard. I’m just saying that each of my steps cover more ground due to born advantages. The more I venture out, I am more and more bothered that private land around public parks and places make visiting rivers, mountains and streams difficult or impossible. Something is wrong with that. Lots of people have asked, “how hard is it to camp in a van in Europe”. Well... we stayed in lots of great places that looked just like this. This was a little pull out high up in the French Alps perched between two mountains surrounded by glaciers. Yes, it’s not far off the winding mountain road. The Tour de France would pass this spot four days later with a swarm of people. But, we had it all to ourselves for 10 glorious hours minus the occasional passing car. In the path of making things happen; We have plans on being a family of digital nomads. As self sufficient in a modern world as can be. Overland and over sea in a few more years, cruising we’ll be. Some things are meant to be. We randomly went to the Toyota dealer to look for a used Lexus gx470 (2009 for the land cruiser platform) The sky’s were smiling upon me. Someone had just brought this 2019 4runner SR5 premium in to trade for a 2020. 9000 miles, lifted, skid plate, good tires and a full size spare. Threw in the extended warrenty, gap and all services for two years. $31k our the door. I couldn’t resist. At the age of 41 I took on my first ever car payment. It’s also my first new(ish) car that I’ve ever owned. OK.. first things first. I need a roof rack and roof top tent. I also need a back bumper with dual fold outs to hold a spare, jack and fuel.
