Nats Thump Twins.
Twins 3 Nationals 12 W-Parker (3-2) L-Lopez (4-4)
The Minnesota Twins bats have went ice cold during this six-game losing streak. The team headed over to the nation's capital to play the Nationals tonight. The Twins started the scoring in the second inning as Byron Buxton singled to left with one out. Willi Castro lined a double to left and Buxton was nailed at the plate trying to score. Kyle Farmer followed a lined a grounder off the third base bag. It was just enough for Willi Castro to score and put the Twins on the board first. The Nationals answered in the bottom of the second as Joey Meneses led-off with a single. Luis Garcia smacked a Pablo Lopez curveball out to right for a two-run homer to put Washington on top. The Nats added on in the fourth when Jesse Winker belted a Pablo Lopez fastball out to center for a solo homer. Washington kept adding on in the fifth as Joey Gallo led-off with a single and Keibert Ruiz doubled to right. Jacob Young singled home a pair and the Nats lead grew to four. Jesse Winker kept the inning alive with a two-out walk and Joey Meneses singled home another run. Luis Garcia hit a run-scoring single to center and the Washington lead was at six. The Twins would answer in the sixth as Ryan Jeffers led-off with a walk. Carlos Correa followed and blasted a Mitchell Parker curveball out to left for a two-run home run. The Nationals bounced back in the bottom of the sixth as Keibert Ruiz and Jacob Young singled. Eddie Rosario delivered a two-out run-scoring single to left. Later in the inning, Christian Vazquez threw a ball off Jacob Young and into left field. Two runs scored on the play and the Nationals lead was seven. Eddie Rosario knocked in a pair in the eighth and the rout was in DC. Dylan Floro had a 1-2-3 ninth and the Nats handed the Twins their seventh straight loss.
-Final Thoughts- Pablo Lopez got roughed up a bit. He went five innings and allowed seven runs on eight hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Caleb Thielbar gave up three runs in the sixth and Caleb Boushley allowed two more in two innings of work. Willi Castro led the offense with two hits on the night. The Twins hit 1-for-2 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base. The offense continues to struggle and the pitching has had a few bad games lately. Tomorrow, Joe Ryan faces Patrick Corbin in Game 2.

FC Barcelona's INs and OUTs
Well, the summer transfer window has come to an end, and it practically ended us with it... But besides football, there was a lot of movement in the Club throughout the senior and reserve teams.
Let's see how the pieces moved this summer.
1. FOOTBALL
FC Barcelona First Team
INs
Luuk de Jong: Loaned from Sevilla until 30 June 2022 and the Club also has an option of taking the player on a permanent deal.
Yusuf Demir: Loaned from Rapid Vienna on a loan deal worth 500,000 euros until the end of the 2021/22 season with the option to make the deal permanent for 10 million euros.
Memphis Depay: Out of contract at Olympique Lyonnais, Memphis Depay has signed a contract with Barça until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Eric Garcia: Barça and Eric Garcia had reached an agreement for a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season once his time ran out at Manchester City. The defender's buy-out clause is set at 400 million euros.
Sergio Agüero: Sergio Agüero signed for Barça once his contract was up at Manchester City. The player has a contract until June 2023 and his buy-out clause is set at 100 million euros.
OUTs
Leo Messi: Something I never thought I would have to type in the OUTs section... Leo Messi was unable to continue at the Club. Despite having reached an agreement over a new contract it could not be signed due to structural and financial obstacles (Spanish Football League regulations).
