Today was a plebiscite here in Frankfurt against Oberbürgermeister (lord mayor) Peter Feldmann, who is facing allegations of corruption and is generally very unpopular for his incompetence and narcisstic behaviour.

This poster is by the satirical party "Die PARTEI" (The PARTY) showing a VERY unfortunate photo of lord mayor Feldmann and it reads "The OB (Oberbürgermeister) that this city deserves." Since they are a satirical party the campaing to KEEP Feldmann as Lord Mayor so that they can poke more fun at his bullshit.

Edit: He is out. Voted out of office with a whopping 95% of the votes.

Hey so the elections to the EU parliament are today and I'm super afraid I will lose my internet. I don't know how long it will take for all this to take action if they win, and I'm not sure if I will lose the ability to be on Tumblr or not.

All I know is that if all this comes through, the internet will get censored. Nothing more.

That's how stripped citizens of Europe have been from information. No one brought it up in school, the news. I had to learn the little I know here, on Tumblr, where most of the blogs I follow aren't even European. The posters some parties have put up in my city only said "help save the internet!", without really explaining what will happen if we don't.
