Hey guys I can't sleep so you're all going to hear my thoughts/theories about the lore of pizza tower in no particular order
Obviously spoilers to the game, the story is hardly important to the gameplay but I'd highly recommend you go into the game as fresh as possible. In case you haven't heard already, the game's fucking phenomenal and you should've played it yesterday at this point
POINT ONE: The Pizza Tower is something that has existed for a significant amount of time before the events of the game, as it seems The Vigilante has lived here for a while. We see this mostly in the refrigerator level, where it looks like snowmen have been left there resembling his late father/grandfather present as a ghost during his bossfight. Either the vigilante GREW UP here over some time (how long is a cheese blob's lifespan?), or these are left here as a means of honoring his parental figure. Vigilante also knows where to find the Noisette Cafe, which is hidden very well, so he's been here long enough to know the places ins and outs. This explains why he's invested in this place enough to take up an anti-hero role of defense, as he's grown very fond of the place. This ties somewhat into point two:
POINT TWO: The Pizza Tower's purpose is likely some sort of resort, if not a place of permanent residence. At least, that's what it was initially designed as before falling into some degree of disrepair (mainly in the slums). It has everything a guest would need- different kinds of entertainment (minigolf, saloon, beach for swimming, ect) and other essential facilities (plumbing system, cold storage, countless different restaurants, places like the peppibot factory that can supply jobs, housing, even a fucking GRAVEYARD) are strewn throughout the entire tower. Maybe the first floor with all the dungeon levels is some sort of jail area, a punishment zone for misbehaving residents. It has just about everything needed for people to call this place home, and we even SEE the bosses actively living here. The bosses don't just wait in their arenas, we see them sulk off to other parts of the tower after we defeat them. They don't want to leave until they're forced to by the tower's collapse. It's like some massive cruiseship.
POINT THREE: The events of the game are being recorded and broadcast as entertainment. The television in the corner that displays peppino at all times is shown in numerous other areas: the residents of the pig city are seen watching it, the televisions are used in pizzahead's one attack, the resume button in the pause menu is a TV with a play symbol on it.. Hell, even the Noise has an extra camera crew for a portion of his own bossfight, though that could be partially unrelated as the Noise seems to have a media presence completely separate from the tower. A TON of signs point to Peppino's escapades being recorded, but the purpose of this is completely up in the air- it could be televized as a believed-to-be-fictional series to the outside world, it could be a security system monitoring Peppino, hell, it could even just be for Pizzahead's personal entertainment.
POINT FOUR: This is NOT Pizzahead's first attempt at a business venture. Don't Make a Sound's background elements point to the idea that this was Pizzahead's first ever restaurant, which went bankrupt for reasons that aren't ever insinuated (probably the same problems that plague the rest of the tower: poor quality, poor safety measures, poor matinence and upkeep). This gives Pizzahead the motive of being jealous of Peppino's success (despite Peppino himself being in serious debt, although his restaurant IS still standing.. I guess debt like that wouldn't be something Pizzahead would be aware of), wanting to destroy him for being more successful. This jealousy also gives an explanation to why things like the cloning section in WAR and Peppibot Factory would exist in this supposed utopia Pizzahead attempted to create; Pizzahead wanted to replicate the success of Peppino somehow, but always failed. This gives credit to the next point.
POINT FIVE: The story of Pizza Tower contains a moral pertaining to quality over quantity. Pizzahead most certainly has or had a fuckton of money and connections in order to build this massive tower AFTER going bankrupt on his own business, marking him as some sort of corporate conglomerate millionaire figure comparable to someone like Ronald McDonald. Despite all of the money thrown at the Tower, it's all brought crumbling down by a single man and his blazing desire to keep his proper, authentic, mom-and-pop pizza business afloat. Craftsmanship and dedication to what you create will always outshine heartless corporate slop. And then there's the more obvious moral of don't push people's limits and/or don't fuck with Italians (which is probably the moral the devs would adhere to more since they don't really take the lore seriously like my autistic ass).
Do I have a way to wrap this up? No. Did any of this make sense? Probably not. Whatever. Thanks for reading another massive wall of text from Panurei "Autism" Derogatory.

(This is part of an AU and a LOT OF TEXT asdfg) WHAT IF.... That weird deformed shape of Fake Peppino (AKA Bruno) is actually that way because of a brain problem (known as TBI)? That would explain that peculiar way of behaving (Silly? Goofy? Childish? Doesn't think straight? Doesn't know what he's doing? Almost 0 common sense, that almost permanent expression on his face, that strange way of moving... He is doing his best to stay on his feet and not melt completely (even if it shows a bit), he can barely speak coherently, among many things (WE MUST PROTECT HIM).
Tumblr media
I'd like to think that the brain is the only organ he has, because the rest is just... Mmh, slime? amalgam? xD, it could be a HUMAN brain that Pizzahead (his creator) got (I like to think he is actually someone insane in a bad way and too different when it comes to his lab, just pretending to smile, hints of psychopath), that brain belonged to another chef, here I clarify about getting 2 adns: Peppino and Bruno (this last I mean the one from the abandoned pizzeria and yes, he is dead, where the hell Pizzahead was going to get that brain from? Actually dead for trusting a humanoid pizza)
Tumblr media
So Fake Peppino has 2 adns? Yeah, that makes sense... Although Peppino and him don't look quite the same (Although Pizzahead's goal was that, to be the perfect impersonator), except for the clothes BUT here comes my favorite part, his stable form.
Actually, his brain problem can be treated, he would still have 2 forms: stable and unstable, this unstable form is the one we all know, it would be present whenever he feels threatened, in danger or any other negative emotion (although he can take any form whenever he wants and be a mix of both forms).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some history: Bruno is the first "clone" to be created, it went well, everything was perfect and one more minion... UNTIL... Pizzahead has a complicated, abusive, stupid, manipulative and ignorant attitude, basically he never treated him well, it started with scolding and even abuse (And yup! it was Pizzahead himself who caused him great injury) Why? He is a demanding and perfectionist guy, the clone had to come out EQUAL to Peppino (the irony is that he hates him and only does it to fuck up his life, to be able to replace him with some of the SO MANY clones out there) at the time he thought it was a GOOD IDEA to mix both adns and come out the same as the original, I repeat that this guy is an idiot?
Something funny is that after that he made other prototypes of clones (Classified as second generation idk) but these... None came out well, they are aberrations and can be found in a frozen chamber, he doesn't want to relive that moment and kept trying until he finally succeeded, the famous Peppino clones that can be found everywhere in the lab, inferior versions, weaker and more animal behavior than the first "clone".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here comes another problem, Pizzahead paid more attention and was nicer to those clones, making Bruno jealous and annoyed, he never received a good treatment from him (Still he was loyal) and he had to fix and clean up all the atrocities the clones did, that means ALL the time, he could not defend himself and lived in silence, developing a great hatred towards them, precisely his behavior changes drastically to the most aggressive, just hearing a "croak" makes him angry (MODO BERSEK GOES BRR)
Many years enduring physical and emotional pain until he ends up in what? In an abandoned pizza restaurant? Just him being abandoned being very bad in all aspects? Completely alone for years, the only contact he had with others were those clones that invaded his "new home" (explaining why there are so many peppino corpses in that pizzeria).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(that girl in the image is an oc of mine hshs)
Bruno still has that silly and innocent personality, sensitive but at the same time disturbing if something bothers him. Paternal sense, playful and a big fan of Peppino, sometimes he annoys him by imitating him HAHA. Does he keep that frog behavior? YES! It's not as obvious as the clones because he knows how to control it.
At the beginning he doesn't like to be touched, after all the problems he went through he doesn't even know if there are good people in this world, so gaining Bruno's trust is a bit complicated but if you talk nice to him (as you would do with your pet XD) the interaction will be effective.
Does he have traumas? Besides he doesn't want to see Pizzahead and the clones again, or there will be a massacre, it's the first time someone is nice to him, he's afraid of abandonment and losing the little progress he has made... AND NEVER EVER SEE OR HEAR ANYTHING RELATED TO ANY LABORATORY AGAIN, his life was hell there, anything related either scares or angers him.
If you have any questions, you can ask and also, sorry if there are errors in my English, it is not my native language, I hope you can understand ;w;

Okay, so... Maurice Spaghetti had an official Twitch username made for the Ancient Aliens stream, mauricemetsfan72.
Gonna guess that Maurice was born in 1972. And if that's true, he's currently 52 years old, a Gen X'er. And considering his appearance is literally an edited Peppino, I consider Maurice to be Peppino's twin brother.
Meaning Peppino was likely born in 1972 and is also 52 years old as of this post.
(He's 13 years older than me and I do not mind it in the slightest...)
I know some people like to imagine that Maurice is older than Peppino. That's still a possibility; we really don't know how old Peppino is. This is just an educated guess more than anything.

this asshole
I mean... this beautiful, handsome man is how I hc Bruno's appearance.
the mascot cutout thing was there before it became Peppino's Pizza 2, and they just sort of kept it.
as for Bruno's story... I'm gonna do a fan fix for it eventually

In response to Matpat’s video on Pizza Tower:
Things Matpat failed to mention in this video listed below:
+ There is a factory dedicated to making Peppino-based robots and to make factory made pizzas.
+ The hidden rooms all throughout the tower, while most are just cut content, one is called "Mansion" and taps into Pepperman's origins.
+ John E. Cheese's ghost appears in the game (vigi's pappy) and Vigi owns the Fun Farm level.
+ YOU DIDN'T EVEN TALK ABOUT GEROME AND JOHN, COME ON MAT!!
+ Pizzahead didn't own the tower. The tower was made from him cursing John Pillar into becoming the tower. You can see him in the background of "EMPLOYEES ONLY".
+ Pizzahead probably moved into the tower after cursing john and stayed there for a while. Moving other characters into the tower via contracts.
+ The characters were led to believe Peppino was the bad guy. There is evidence of this because during the 2nd boss fight Vigi has a wanted poster of peppino, but in the credits it changes to Pizzahead instead.
+ YOU DIDN'T MENTION THE CREDIT IMAGES EITHER, MAT.
+ Pizzahead is inspired from Ronald Mcdonald and has the same mannerisms. The man is literally a clown, which could've tied to the cut clown peppino content.
+ Gerome has a connection or an understanding of the curse Pizzahead placed on his bro. This probably why he was collecting all of those food items. To break the curse.
+ Pizzahead may have known about Peppino, but there is a LOT of obsession with this particular Italian.
+ MAT PAT DID NOT MENTION ANY OF THE DIRECTOR EQUIPMENT OR HOW PIZZAHEAD IS FILMING PEPPINO'S TORMENT.
RATING OF VIDEO: POORLY RESEARCHED

There's something I can't stop thinking about, I need to tell this story and it's about the people with pizza heads in the portraits that appear in the lobby.
It's amazing how no one is talking about these, I just found a post talking about it.
Nobody paid attention to these portraits, perhaps due to lack of information or they were more interested in playing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We can see that pizzaface, pizza granny and pizzahead have more relatives or there are people of the same species and there are even pizza-shaped animals.
Unfortunately, only floor 1 shows that and the other floors do not show more about the pizza people/family.
but I'm not only interested in these portraits or in this removed character
Tumblr media
Pizzamancer
According to the wiki, he is a magician and creator of the tower and not pizzaface or pizzahead as some think. He cast a spell on the spaghetti family because they disrespected the pizza, saying that the family would not be at peace if they had pizza cooked, this caused a war between spaghetti and the pizzas and the winner was the spaghetti family.
He died after the war and leaving pizzaface this position in the tower, but in my opinion it was someone else, since there are photos of other people with pizza heads, so most of the photos must have been family members who were in charge of The tower, mostly male, was like this for generations to generations, it's like the typical story that the manager or boss should always be a relative of the first manager of all of the company.
but they never explained the origin of the tower, but I have a theory: the tower could be a safe place for living foods that were not going to fight far from the war and also a resting place for soldiers and that today they are a living place. (and there are possibilities that before the tower did not accept humans because of what happened in the war)
Speaking of the war, there is a level of war, this can mean something important for the pizza family, creating a portal of that event for future generations so that they "do not forget" the origin of the tower, causing the new generations hate the spaghetti family and that the curse continues to exist. (and no friend, that peppino has gone to war is no longer canon, but even so it is not explained what the peppino clones do there, so let's imagine that pizzahead left the other peppino clones there because he was very stupid and that the soldiers kill him, The only thing that came out of there was fake Peppino, pizzahead discovering it and more likely they will manipulate fake peppino than fight peppino)
"I'm going to go ahead and talk about something that I've been saying to others who know about this place of worship that you did this. Well, we come down from your pizzeria and we come down from this tower. There are customers, and they want to see one of these things. So I got a friend, he went down one of the floors and this guy went up next to me, and the idea was, why when you're at the top of the tower is this character from Pizzaface, then there's a man in your life? before the head? There is a pizza in your tower with all this information."
There is a lot here to create a lot of theories from the phrases they release and we have to have a great imagination to understand. (when he said "There are customers, and they want to see one of these things", my first thought was people paying to see the fight between spaghetti and pizza one more time. lol and when he says "we come down from your pizzeria and down from this tower" can it mean that peppino pizza ended like the tower?)
about "he went down one of the floors and this guy went up next to me, and the idea was, why when you're at the top of the tower is this Pizzaface character, then is there a man from your previous life at the head? There's a pizza in your tower with all this information."
what happens to me is that he talks about pizzaface, granny wonders why he calls himself pizzaface and that he has a real name. but I have another theory, it's about the ancestor of pizzahead's ancestor, who also calls himself pizzaface (maybe there is a tradition that when the son of the previous boss/manager is ready to take over that position, he should abandon his name and call himself pizzaface )
since granny asks peppino if he remembers someone like that in his previous life. (does granny know who the ancestors of pizzahead and peppino were?) about there is a pizza in your tower that knows all this information (oh crap, is he saying that the tower used to be for spaghetti?? granny has already debunked my theory without the need for someone else to do it)
More likely, Pizzahead and/or Pizzaface already know everything about what happened to the ancestors and all the fights in the previous generations, and Granny tries to warn Peppino in an indirect way. (betrayed his grandson and his son. lol)
Tumblr media
I think my theory is here, maybe they will update if I find more material related to the tower or the ancestors.
You can leave your theories here if you want. ^^
Can you imagine that Pizzahead and Peppino's relationship was like Romeo and Juliet's? lol

GUYS. STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING A NEW GAME THEORY JUST DROPPED-
But fr though- I think it’s a nice take on the Pizza Tower LORE but I am gonna tweak it JUST a little bit
Also:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do like the idea that Pizza Head wants revenge on Peppino for leaving the Pizz-Pizza “Family”, I really think that’s a good take! Also that Noise and Noisette worked for him as well (Gustavo also, I’d like to imagine that after Peppino left Gustavo later joined him because they were just good pals :]).
Basically MatPat said that Pizza Head, Peppino, Gustavo, Noise and Noisette all worked together in the same pizzeria. (Specifically giving evidence from that one level “Don’t make a sound” with the abandoned pizzeria called “Pizz-Pizza”. It also has posters of them up on the walls). But since Peppino himself was getting popular he decided to start his own company! Pizza Head then got angry with him, and tried making clones to just try and reach Peppino’s restaurant performance. And they later went bankrupt because Peppino called upon a safety inspection, which then lead them to close and go bankrupt. That’s (most likely why) Pizza Head (and potentially Noise and Noisette) have such a GRUDGE against Peppino.
The only thing that I wanna just change a little bit is that The Vigilante also worked for Pizza Head at Pizz-Pizza. I just think that it wouldn’t work as well since Vigilante was shown that he worked at a farm with John E. Cheese his grandfather (who later died and became a ghost as we see in the boss fight-). So I think it’d be better if Vigilante was just a- Vigilante that was called upon from Pizza Head to get Peppino. Police wouldn’t trust him right? He did do some horrible things- why would the police ever help him out? So he just called Vigilante to take care of Peppino for him. But that’s just my opinion and what I’d think would work just a wee bit better y’know?
As for Pepperman I have no clue why he’s here and neither does MatPat. I’d like to think Pizza Head has him here because he was the one who created the portraits for Pizza Face (the pictures we see of him on Floor 1) and Pepperman just decided to- stay there for extra muscle-(?) 🤷‍♀️
Anyways yeah- um- go check out the video MatPat explains it better than I do- 😃👍

but what if pizza = religion?
i'm going for it i'm doing the thing
this is the pizza antichrist post i threatened to make. Incoherent ramblings and pseudo-christian imagery under the cut
so pizza, the food, the round delicious thingy, is obviously pretty important to the Pizza Tower lore. Peppino makes it, Gustavo probably does too, almost all enemies are themed after it, etc. There has to be a reason for it, right? (ignore the fact that the reason is most likely a joke please)
so let's focus on two entities in particular: the priest (also the exorcist) and the pizzard
the priest can remove status effects from you, one of which is um DEATH?? dude can straight up resurrect you. Where does he get the power for his miracles? Well, if you look at his hat (and ignore the crosses they sometimes pull out as generic iconography), you can see a red pizza symbol. So what if, right, WHAT IF the main religion of this world is pizza based?
listen. Why else would there be sentient toppins running around. Not only are they deemed to be dangerous/important enough by the inhabitants of the Tower to get put into cages, but they also have an inherent monetary value. That or they all carry $10 on them idk. But i really think they're integral to the divine art of pizza making somehow
Tumblr media
Following from this, What if pizza making is less of a trade and more of a holy ritual that allows you to harness the godly powers of this dish? And what if - hear me out - Peppino himself is a rogue pizza priest who's cast away his robes in favour of serving the common folk. Kind of like a renegade paladin
Tumblr media
was this just an excuse to draw peppino as a priest? maybe
ok back to pizzards. These buggers are described as practicing "pizzamancy". Don't think we need to wonder too hard where this arcane art draws its powers from. But here's the thing - while priests are generally helpful to the player/Peppino and seem to be working against the Tower and its occupants, pizzards are your enemies. There are two warring sides to this divine power. And if the pizza priests can be assumed to ask the pizza god for miracles and be under the jurisdiction of the pizza pope, why would the same godly entity help pizzards? Well, what if there's also a pizza satan. No not the one with the super hot pizza. Altho wait. Maybe? idk. Let me sleep on it.
POINT IS. whoever they are, the devil is probably off in hell somewhere, but someone else might be on earth in their stead. Someone immensely and seemingly nonsensically powerful. So pizzards serve Pizzahead - he even rents one to Noise as a minion in the comics - and they appear to be coded as this world's equivalents of satanic cultists. Pizzahead has access to vast reality bending powers for no apparent reason but is still firmly rooted in this world. Conclusion? Pizzahead is the pizza antichrist
Tumblr media

y'know as a longtime-running mario fan before pizza tower, I'm no stranger to MatPat cutting out important context in his videos. he left out Paper Jam when discussing Mr L. he ignored Luigi's Mansion when talking about Mario as a brother. this is a tactic that people use when they want to create a narrative, where important context is left out intentionally.
it is at this point that we can conclude that his theories are not meant to be serious nor informational on the fandoms he has covered. he does this for fun, not to state objective fact.
hence why he says "but hey, that's just a theory: a GAME theory!"

Okay, so here are my thoughts on Peddito and The Doise in light of The Noise Update: (SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!)
The Doise and Peddito are alien beings from another dimension. They're direct counterparts to The Noise and Peppino. In every known universe/dimension/timeline, there is a Noise and a Peppino of some sort, and they're always linked to each other somehow.
Peddito is normally benign, even friendly. But when he gets angry, his rage consumes him, turning him into an eyeless, floating killing machine who destroys anyone who gets in his way, until he finally kills whoever or whatever pissed him off to begin with, normally by snapping their neck.
Unfortunately, Peddito is very easy to anger, especially when you're The Doise. Not only is The Doise just as annoying as The Noise, he has been known to purposefully anger Peddito in order to use his immense killing power as a weapon. His most common method is to cross out Peddito's face in a picture he has of the two of them standing together and smiling. No matter how far away Peddito is, he always knows when his face has been crossed out, like a sixth sense, and he'll travel across entire dimensions to try and kill The Doise.
The thing is, Peddito and The Doise are supposed to be friends. To Peddito, having his face crossed out means The Doise doesn't consider him a friend anymore, and Peddito doesn't take that kind of blatant disrespect well in the slightest.
When Peddito kills The Doise in The Noise Update, The Doise had crossed out Peddito's face prior to his battle with The Noise. The Doise had been hoping that in case he lost, The Noise would end up directly in Peddito's path when he finally arrived. Only... Peddito was so pissed at The Doise for the umpteenth time that he made a direct beeline for his former friend and murdered him on sight, completely avoiding The Noise.
Now, despite how it may appear, The Doise isn't permanently dead. Taunting at his gate three times will bring him back to life for a rematch. Why? It may sound bizarre, but death is never final for any version of The Noise. In The Doise's case, every cell in his body is an individual organism, all working together as a hivemind. If The Doise dies, his cells will grow a new body for him, splitting from the old one. It usually takes a long time, but the process can be sped up instantly if The Doise's cells are allowed to feed off of someone else's "annoyance energy"... like The Noise performing multiple taunts.
Peddito is very aware that The Doise won't stay dead. Currently, he's still angry at him, hiding in the shadows and waiting for him to revive so he can kill him again. This endless cycle of death and rebirth will only cease if The Doise apologizes... and even then, that's not a sure thing. Peddito has been wronged by The Doise so many times that forgiveness may not come easy...
