BACKGROUND: officially, margaret has gone on eight missions for the International Space Corps. unofficially, though? she’s been working alongside e.v. for years on smaller missions, testing the technology they’ve created and the improvements they’ve made to pre-existing designs to better ensure the safety of all who journey off the surface of the earth in a Corps spacecraft. there have been a few close calls—twice, di had to bail herself out of a falling craft—but for every trial, there’s been a conversation with e.v.; for every tribulation, a day spent rewiring the guts of a ship, just the two of them. and, yeah, maybe that’s not the definition of romance for most people, but, well... di isn’t most people.
