ज्ञानवापी सर्वे मामले में मुस्लिम पक्ष यानी अंजुमन इंतेजामिया मसाजिद कमेटी को बड़ा झटका लगा है। ज्ञानवापी के सर्वे और उसकी रिपोर्ट तैयार करने के लिए समयसीमा बढ़ाए जाने की भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण (एएसआई) की अर्जी अदालत ने मंजूर कर ली है।

I was fortunate to have been to this place multiple times and lately I really felt it was high time this place needed to be cut off. Located in the Phi Phi Islands, Maya Bay was temporarily closed to tourists in June of 2018 and set to reopen in October 2018. But the site will now remain closed indefinitely. #Repost @gvshp_nyc (@get_repost) ・・・ On this day in 1911, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire occurs, killing 146 mostly young female immigrant workers from Greenwich Village, the Lower East Side, and surrounding communities. The disaster resulted from the owner locking the factory doors so workers could not take breaks, the fire being higher than fire engine ladders could reach, and a lack of fire escapes. The response to the fire led to dramatic and long overdue changes in labor, building, and fire codes, and is remembered annually. The building, now known as the Brown Building and owned by NYU, still stands at Washington Place and Greene Street, just east of Washington Square. With GVSHP’s support, in 2003 the building was landmarked. #Repost @gvshp_nyc with @repostapp ・・・ On this day in 1924, architect Louis Sullivan dies penniless, his burial paid for by former student Frank Lloyd Wright, who lovingly referred to him as "Lieber Meister." The fortunes of the man now known as the father of modernism, inventor of the skyscraper, and coiner of the phrase "form follows function" fell precipitously in the latter part of his life, and in the years following his death, his buildings were demolished or unsympathetically altered (including the Bayard-Condict Building on Bleecker Street, his only in New York, pictured here) and his reputation fell. Fortunately in later years his legacy and contributions received the recognition they deserved, and buildings like the Bayard-Condict, much like his reputation, underwent a long overdue and loving rehabilitation.
