While in captivity, he was tortured for his talent and unaware of events in the wider world.

𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 :

One third of the stepford cuckoos she was cloned in a lab, bred for power and raised to manipulate. She’s sneaky and cunning, willing to use her powers to manipulate those around her to get the results she wants. However, she has a heart of gold hidden underneath her “rough” exterior. All in all she’s impatient but a sweetheart and while she and her sisters may be able to share a mind there is a clear distinction between them, Esme being less willing to use violence as a first resort, but if you threaten anyone she cares for or back her into a corner, she’s willing to do anything. After all there’s nothing more dangerous than an animal that’s backed against the wall.

𝐛𝐢𝐨 :

Being one of five clones created in a lab meant that Esme never was destined for a normal life. She spent a large portion of her youth being controlled and manipulated into the perfect weapon, collared and kept separate from two of the five as she was forced to rip into peoples minds alongside her sisters.

At age 13 they turned against their captors. Esme, Sophie and Phoebe being the only clones that made it out alive in their escape. For years they manipulated their way into homes, faking mamories in families a day at a time only to move a few days later, it was no wonder that they were found only four years after their escape. The Hellfire club took in the three 17 year olds and utilized their abilities as much as they wished, this time fighting for her own rights or at least that's what Esme told herself.

After an undercover mission goes wrong both her sisters are taken captive and Esme devises a plan to help them escape, infiltrating the mutant underground to get them back. She wouldn't loose any more sisters.

Ok, I think I actually love Guel Jeturk? As a character, obv, not for my OTP.

Like, Suletta told him “You fight good” and he fell over himself because that appears to be the first genuine and kind compliment he’s gotten in... forever. Sure he’s got his groupies, but they just like to kiss up to his butt. And any compliment from his dad is two-faced at best, if he ever gets compliments to begin with. The only other person who seems to be willing to give him any positive reinforcement is his brother and I have a feeling even that is tainted by their dad’s influence.

I saw that look in his eyes. That is the look of someone who expects the worst when he gets home, only to get the confidence booster of a lifetime: a double thumbs up from the person who beat him. Actually, I bet if anyone beat him in the past, they didn’t bother to tell him “good game”, even facetiously.

HC; Matter of the (tangible) soul.

Taking this as my own personal interpretation of how Caelus is ultimately built as an individual. Many within the circle of those that know considers him merely a host of the Stellaron. The matters involving the calamitous star are being discovered as things are charted along, but that isn't quite it.

As it stands, Caelus is a soul that exists on the material plane, and not by the natural principles of souls that dwell within their respective bodies. The key in itself is the anomaly factor known as the Stellaron, and in fact, he is the very Stellaron in question. The past before his revival had inevitably led to this unique circumstance, how his very being was transformed. After reclaiming his humanity, the new facet is the awareness to take into account, how his body that was once artificial isn't any longer.

Underneath Caelus's will, the vessel began became real flesh and blood body, taking into account the certainty his soul has in terms of identity. It doesn't change however that the rules of his existence are muddled up, nor does it change that due to being a hybrid of humanity and Stellaron, there's also particulars he needs to take into account.

For one, after once being part of a grand collective that thrives for the essence of humanity, the potential, what they can create, his new existence leaves an inner emptiness that can never be appropriately scratched. Frustrated nights, times that felt too cold, that inexplicable discomfort of being torn from the collective that live for human potential. The Fragmentum, the vicinity and people in which that volatile power decides to nest, ironically, it's within this very scale of peril does such a situation shift. It answers to the instincts, a phantom call of what he is. This is what creates those instances where he can UNDERSTAND the entities of Information, residual soul and presence left within those zones.

It leads to that sensation of being away from 'home' being difficult to truly put into words. Being disconnected led to his own course and choice to be wholly solidified, but any phantom pains derived from this will remain as the price, the sort he's proactively working to counter.

No different than humanity, the essence of Stellaron thrives upon connections with the living, whether through relationships, their creations, experience. It falls exactly in line with Caelus's character to begin with, and in kind, this is where the spirit of the Trailblaze serves as an equalizer. It's the course a Stellaron partakes in without trying to birth heirs of calamity.

I'd also like to add that when this equilibrium becomes disturbed, there's a few unique (monstrous) attributes that his form can begin forming, a price for his lack of mastery. (That and/or powerful emotion ill prepared for the potential it brings.)

tl;dr: He's a Human/Stellaron Hybrid. His soul is the Stellaron now, and this in itself lends to his unique journey of self.

hello fellow musers. 2024 is an election year for large chunks of the planet. primaries are well underway for many. we all love to vote here, and i would like to encourage those of you eligible to make sure that you participate in your country's elections this cycle!

recall the number of polls over the last year that we had no business winning because all of us came together and voted as one. even if that song or album wasn't our favorite. even when we didn't win. even when all it got us 2nd or 3rd place. i want you to bring that optimism and determination to the ballot box this year.

this doesn't apply just to presidential elections, but to any local races that may be underway as well. participation in local elections is lower, and your individual vote has greater sway in a smaller voting pool. this is truly where you have the opportunity to make outsized changes to the politics of your immediate area. these changes in local politics can and will result in greater changes further up the chain.

encourage your friends, musers or not, to go vote as well. go online to search for local resources that can ensure that your vote ends up being counted if work, disability, or other circumstances hamper you (your votes matter even more!).

i'm aware that it feels tired saying this in 2024, especially for those of us in the united states who will most likely have to choose between trump and biden once again. but i hope that i can convince you of the importance of not abandoning the most vulnerable of us in allowing greater demagogues to take power and at the very least, the ability to say that you did your part to preserve democracy in a time when the very future of voting is uncertain.

but this can't be the end of it. voting out of fear of the greater evil and pinching your nose every time cannot be what motivates us. fear is exhausting and can be exhausted in a short period of time, but the world order will not change overnight and we cannot expect it to with one election. instead, we have to let ourselves be motivated by love. dare yourself to love your fellow citizens, to want better for them and yourself, to believe that we all deserve better and that "better" is within our grasp.

feed someone. attend a protest. talk about your wages at work. question dichotomies. we maintain what we have, support one another, and grow. even a relatively small number of people can do powerful things when we all work together. i've seen it happen here, and it can happen anywhere, even on the scale of nations.
