I looked up the contestants of produce 101 japan both seasons and I found out Orbit and JO1 came out of season 1 and Ini out of season 2. Also I found out Daigo and Renta were in season 2. Then because I like going back and looking at the previous produce 101 season’s contestants cause sometimes I forget who all was on and wow I love information so many constestants debuted and some are still in temperary groups like Sunhyuk was in Rainz and now he’s in Tan. But we got members in onewe and oneus, noir, wei, mirae, Lee eunsang in Younite I found some members of cravity there’s soloists. I love looking at their produce pics lol I just watch some of them on that show tho. Mixnine and The Unit are fun to look at too. The Unit was basically a party for already debuted idols. And then in the first season of produce 101 we got weki meki and pristin and Chungha and somi and chanmi debuted for a third time and there’s so many more idols I recognize it’s so fun to look at them all.

I just hated that season 2 introduced already debuted idols in to compete with trainees I don’t think that’s fair at all and I don’t like the whole competition stuff but that seems to be the new thing. Pros tho all the groups that come out of it and some I really like and I totally keep forgetting that Wonjun and Wonhyuk were in season 3 with woodz and seungwoo and byungchan and wei and Wooshin and Hyeonsu and I found their pics and they’re so cute lil babiesss :(

4th gen severely lacks bg music- why?

mnet survival shows may be the some of the cause.

during the mnet rigging scandal, two produce groups were heavily affected- the two active groups from the last two survival shows, iz*one and x1.

iz*one, survived the fallout and continued as a full member group for the rest of their contract, until disbanding in 2021. their impact on the kpop industry - and especially 4th gen- a hallmarker for polished discographies, performance, and personalities - those which transferred to later 4th gen, giving us the plethora of girl group music and concepts we have today, and their former members participating in a new wave of freshness throughout the genre.

x1 was meant to be the boy group equivalent, but unfortunately disbanded due to the scandal, which a group that may have been historic and might have followed a similar path to iz*one, maybe even wanna one. due to the lack of boy group member trade-off to other groups, a voice to other voices may have died in the process, giving less mics to the boy groups who shine in the less spotlight given stages.

this is not disregarding boy group music in 4th gen entirely, skz, txt, ateez and many other boy groups have definitely succeeded in garnering popularity and are staples of 4th gen. this is just an observation as to why there is a surge of girl group music in more recent years as opposed to 3rd gen, where boy groups would be the primary focus on the industry. i do believe there are more reasons to the 4th gen gg takeover, this is just one outlook on the mnet survival show perspective.

secangkir kopi di teras halaman terus berputar seiring dengan gerakan sendok kecil milik jinhyuk yang sedang mengaduk entah kopinya atau pikirannya.

sekarang fokus jinhyuk bukan lagi soal menjawab pertanyaan wooseok, tapi bagaimana wooseok bisa sampai pada pemikiran sekonyol itu. seorang jinhyuk? merencanakan masa depan tanpa wooseok? itu terlalu mustahil.

sudah lewat seminggu mereka berdua berhenti berkomunikasi, engga ada lagi jinhyuk yang cengengesan karena terlambat jemput wooseok ke kampus, atau wooseok yang ngomel ngomel perihal baju kotor jinhyuk ada di sembarang tempat.

jinhyuk juga engga bodoh buat melepaskan wooseok gitu aja, karena bagaimanapun setengah jiwanya udah dia bagi ke wooseok. waktu diserang pertanyaan itu, anaknya nangis dan jinhyuk ga bisa ngapa-ngapain. sampai sekarang dia belum bikin pergerakan apapun sampai seungyoun bilang kalau wooseok cuma butuh pengakuan dari jinhyuk.

wooseok baru pulang dari kampus waktu jinhyuk mengetuk pintu kosannya, dia engga bilang apa apa waktu liat wajah jinhyuk lagi. ekspresinya datar, bikin jinhyuk sedikit gentar.

"seok, kita butuh bicara"

yang lebih kecil cuma memandang jinhyuk dengan bersilang tangan, menunggu sesuatu yang mau ia dengar keluar dari mulut jinhyuk.

"aku.. egois ya?" baru kali ini wooseok lihat cowok gemini itu putus asa.

"aku pikir selama ini kita sejalan, aku pikir kamu fine fine aja sama apa yang kita punya, aku-" perkataannya dipotong decakan wooseok.

"kamu, kamu, kamu. emang semuanya ini selalu tentang kamu, jinhyuk. udah ya?"

jinhyuk menggeleng sambil berusaha menggenggam tangan wooseok.

"seok, waktu kamu tanya apa kamu ada di masa depan aku, jawabannya ada seok."

"aku gapernah bikin rencana tanpa ada kamu di dalamnya, semua yang aku lakuin sekarang buat kamu, buat kita."

"ada jaminan engga kalau emang aku ada di masa depan kamu?" berhasil, wooseok akhirnya mau mendengarkan jinhyuk.

"seok, aku engga pernah ada pikiran buat main-main sama kamu. walaupun ditentang dunia, aku engga pernah nyerah buka jalan buat kita di masa depan. sekarang, aku bisa bilang ke ibu aku kalau aku maunya sama kamu seok. aku engga peduli sama semua perempuan yang ibu kasih, aku maunya kamu kim wooseok"

wooseok tertawa kecil, menurut dia ini perkataan paling mainstream yang pernah ia dengar dari seorang lee jinhyuk.

"jinhyuk, denger ya. aku gapernah sekalipun takut kamu bakal end up sama perempuan lain. aku ga setolol itu, jinhyuk." ia berusaha melepaskan genggamannya dari jinhyuk.

"tapi kamu pernah mikirin ngga perasaan aku selama ini? kalau kamu bilang kamu egois, itu bener. karena selama ini semuanya selalu tentang kamu. gimana soal aku?"

"aku gapernah ngerasa secure di hubungan ini jinhyuk. rasanya kayak bahu aku terlalu berat dan kamu gapernah hadir buat jadi sandaran aku. kamu engga pernah bikin aku safe enough buat berbagi keluh kesah aku selama ini, you don't even ask what i feel."

jinhyuk diam. memang selama ini dia terlalu nyaman disekitar wooseok sampai-sampai dia lupa kalau wooseok juga harusnya dibuat nyaman.

"kalau soal perasaan aku sekarang aja kamu engga peduli, gimana bisa aku yakin ada aku di masa depan kamu?"

satu lagi pertanyaan yang bikin jinhyuk mengaduk-aduk kopinya. tapi kali ini dia engga tahu cara menjawabnya.
