pr how it works and what is the use a thread 🧵

pr is “managing how others see and feel about a person, brand, or company” an artists image is managed through social media, interviews, articles etc.

this happens mostly when a celebrity comes with a new project, they have to be talked about to gain interaction with the project.

why? because if general public hears ab [insert name] has a new album/movie etc. coming up and that’s the first time they have heard the name they r not gonna care about it, just another name they dont know and are gonna forget about especially since most of the times while the project was in the making, the celebrity has been off the grid and most gp will have forgotten ab them. if they see articles talking ab some gossip and after that they hear ab the project they will recognize the name and remember it, be more interested to look into it etc.

a well known pr strategy in specific is fake relationships, people are obsessed with dating life especially the ones of a celebrity. most times they’ll choose to do it with another celebrity and if its a movie specifically a costar so both sides get promo and have something to gain.

it doesn’t matter if they are being talked ab negatively or positively “bad pr is still pr”.

why? because people are way more interested in negative news and gossip than positive things so it’s easier to get the artist in the news when its ab something negative.

once there is interest in the artist and the project and it’s liked they are gonna get fans, they will look into the artist’s personality, social media etc which will probably show a good image, someone nice and they will be liked and get fans.

you might think bad promo will make the celebrity lose fans but most fans know the personality of them and know it’s bullshit or at least know they are good enough people to wanna stay and defend them and the ones that do leave will most probably come back after a few months when the whole world has forgotten about whatever was being said ab the celebrity.

this whole process gave more interaction with the celebrity and their project which gives more money and success which will bring more fans and the fans lost will come back after awhile.
