Schizophrenia books x2
Tumblr media
I wrote 2 books (and/or ebooks) on living with, and overcoming, schizophrenia. I have lived with schizophrenia for 25+ years. I currently work as a post-masters mental health talk-therapist (a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-LCSW). My first book is titled “On Conquering Schizophrenia; From the Desk of a Therapist and Survivor”. My second book is titled “The Essential Schizophrenia Companion; With Foreword by Elyn R Saks, PhD, JD”. I write from the perspectives of both a provider and also someone with schizophrenia. Both are on Amazon. If you go to Amazon you can see all the editorial reviews. My books are intended to provide education and hope, and to let others know a regular life is obtainable. Dr Saks, who wrote the foreword to my second book, is the leading global icon and legend in the schizophrenia canon. She wrote the national bestseller “The Center Cannot Hold: My Journey Through Madness”. She also gave a BRILLIANT TedTalk! It has over 4 million views! I remain both humbled and grateful by her support! If you are interested in my books (or ebooks), they can be found everywhere, Amazon included! I thank you for your support! Stay well! —Robert Francis, LCSW

my psychology professor, upon calling out people who don’t talk to their suffering friends:
“No, you’re not worried about giving them ideas. That’s ridiculous. Never once has a mentally ill person heard the words ‘are you going to hurt yourself’ and said, ‘gEE, no I wasn’t, but i will now !! that’s a great idea, thanks for the tip !!’ and gone off to cut themselves. You’re not talking to them because it makes you uncomfortable, and that’s not okay.”

On Conquering Schizophrenia 2-4-21
I would like to share, I wrote 2 books on living with, and overcoming, schizophrenia. I hope to be able to help others with any matters pertaining to schizophrenia.
If you are interested, I also have a free YouTube channel called “On Conquering Schizophrenia”. I do one video per day on various topics related to schizophrenia and I mix perspectives of a therapist and consumer. Here is the link for my channels welcome video.

I love to engage with others on the topic of schizophrenia!
