I have a fun question. Who in Seventeen Imprinted Universe do you think is the driest texter with their mates?

I feel like everyone will say Jihoon cause he’s quiet. But my bro is quiet and his use of gif’s would surprise people.

(honestly i feel like eunmi is drier than jihoon lmao)

here's my least dry to most dry list:

least dry texter

soonyoung -- constantly sending memes or photos because "this reminded me of you". will send multiple texts for different sentences but it's okay because rini does the same

mingyu -- another text spammer instead of just sending one whole text but he craves bomi's attention. unlike rini she's always like "DUDE JUST SEND ONE TEXT USE PUNCTUATION". he doesn't listen. will even text her if she's across the room

seokmin -- super animated in his replies. doesn't use a lot of memes or anything but a master of emoji use. always asking how yerin's day is and how she's doing and stuff. loves asking questions about her feelings and what she's doing

seungkwan: very active texter and loves using stickers. likes to double text but will start getting annoyed if other people do it to him (except with luna, of course)

jun -- will randomly send a cute sticker whenever he wants attention (which is often) and loves to use stickers and emojis in his replies

joshua -- texts jaehee pretty often and both of them like sending memes back and forth

chan -- basically the same boat as josh

wonwoo -- very to the point in all of his texts and doesn't often use a lot of memes or emojis or stickers. but he does text often and always makes sure to reply to faye. literally always has to have the last text because he doesn't want her to feel ignored

hansol -- him and kira may not text often but when they do, it's only in memes and stickers so at least it's never boring

jihoon -- like hansol, he doesn't text often but he secretly has the second best meme stash in the house out of the guys

seungcheol -- him and juri don't text super often throughout the day. he tries to throw in cute emojis though so his texts aren't super dry

jeonghan -- he's up aya's ass but he's such a dry texter. his replies are always short because he'd rather facetime or he just texts her to go to him so he can be with her physically. his texts are also usually about himself and how much he misses her and how much he hates class/work/everything lmao

minghao -- such a boring texter. it's almost painful to text him. he will occassionally send a random ass meme video to yoona though and she's like "where tf did this come from???"

GIRL, GIRL, Percy Jackson and the lightening thief was the first mythological fiction I read, well, apart from an anthology of Greek Mythologies which was actually the very first book that I read back when I was in the 2nd grade.

I brought the Song of Achilles a while back after seeing some quotes flying around on Social Media, and it's been sitting on my shelf ever since, sjsjjs, I am literally such a sloth. I am definitely making a movie watchlist with your recs, I have a feeling I'll be blown away by your recs since we almost have the same taste and also because your writing is top tier so your taste in the Arts will slap too (such a no-brainer).

Now that I think about it, the intense pressure of holding myself to a high standard at the expense of my own well-being has been a perpetual feeling ever since childhood, and it's true, once the seeds are sown, it permeates the whole being like poison, a poison which becomes your life source in a cruel twist of fate, because I really cannot imagine letting go of this apparent need to suceed anymore. I will be going for a Master's instead of a PhD because I want to keep my options open(since I am still not sure if I want to go into academia). Lol, it's not surprising at all, certificates and achievements just literally make me feel things, and I totally get what you mean by having a wall solely dedicated in pursuance of it. And seriously, I won't even deny being an ambitious person, I am very obsessed with the idea of being professionally successful, it's just what it is(╯_╰).

welcome back babes! please don’t feel the need to apologise. i was actually gonna ‘summon’ you since you’ve been gone for a while but i remembered you had important finals queued. it’s really good to have you back, you’ve been greatly missed. how did they go btw? hope they weren’t too taxing, although i’m sure you’ve excelled them. and I’m absolutely not surprised that you engrossed yourself into a paper right after exams. yup...definitely not peak intj behaviour. what paper are you writing, if you don’t mind me asking? just sticking my nose into other people’s academics since i’m not back in uni for another month lol.

ooo native language? bilingualism is thexy. what languages do you speak? i’m just stuck with english and arabic lmfaoo. i’ve been learning german on and off but i’m trying to get back on track with sign language hehe. honestly? same, i still have loads of books that i bought ages ago—mostly philosophy and psychology—that i never got to read, and i still went on to buy another batch of books that i’m currently struggling to even finish...but i’ve been dabbling with some poetry lately, so i guess that’s a start.

an anthology of greek mythologies is a lot less embarrassing in comparison to a kitten book snsnsj. not you saying my taste in arts is top tier when yours completely surpasses it. your recs (whether it be music, books etc) never fail to amaze me. please never stop providing them because they’re an absolute delight!

i couldn’t agree with you more; academic success seems more like a necessity than a conscious choice to make. especially if it’s been germinated in your head from a really young age thanks to peer pressure. it would be difficult to untangle one’s self worth from their grade book because you suddenly find yourself wrapping your whole identity around it to the brink of self sabotage. powering through 5 hours of sleep and an incomprehensible amount of caffeine was definitely not how i wanted to spend my youth. i tried to unlearn it, but i’ve adapted myself to live with it anyway.

Members: Amyedi Jacora, Ozdas Chaigg Jacora (Amyedi’s husband), Daimzarr Jacora (Amyedi’s father), Rai Krast Jacora (Amyedi’s mother), Thodajaz Jacora (contested, Amyedi’s uncle, Ramirhe’s father), Nao Jacora(contested, Thodajaz’s wife, Amyedi’s aunt, Ramirhe’s mother) Ramirhe Jacora (contested), Saseli Jacora (Ramirhe’s daughter), Tavidal Jacora (Ramirhe’s son), Senator Alyeil Laygos (contested, Ramirhe’s wife)

History: Based on Concordia, Clan Jacora spent most of it’s history fighting for a more peaceful Mandalore, though not every head of the Clan could agree on what that looked like. Clan Jacora was one of the few clans that had sided with the Jedi during the Mandalorian Wars. Under Thodajaz Jacora’s leadership, he allied himself with Adonai Kryze as a part of the New Mandalorians. To show just how far he thought Mandalorians could come, he let his son, Ramirhe, get taken by the Jedi Council in hopes that Mandalorians could begin to make peace with the Jedi. This move was contested by his brother, though he couldn’t get enough of the Clan’s support to overthrow Thodajaz. Amyedi Jacora would eventually take over the clan, and while she continued to support the New Mandalorians, she refused to give up their traditional way of life and was prepared for the time when Clan Kryze would fall. After Amyedi’s untimely death, Ramirhe briefly took over as the head of Clan Jacora, though most agreed that if the clan was to continue, he could not remain the head. Once his daughter, Saseli Jacora, was of age, she took over as head of Clan Jacora, and to date has been the youngest head of the clan.

I went into two galleries in Soho and both asked, "How old are you?" I said, “What does that matter?” They said, "Come back in a few years." I said, “But you didn't even look at my slides.” After that I had a bad feeling about galleries. So I spoke to my friend Kevin and we decided to make a website that would showcase the artwork that was overlooked. We launched in early 2001. We always said "You wouldn't give us a space, so we built one." This was before websites became easy. It was before social media. It was a great place for artists of all mediums to show what they could do. It amazed me that someone in New York could be seen by someone in Japan, and they could be seen by someone in Australia. I was up in Vermont for a month working on some stuff and one night my friend Chris Rini was working on a painting while I was doing stickers. He did this big cell phone holding a person to its "ear" and I just looked up and said, "Ha, robots will kill." It went along with the robots I was drawing so it clicked. The name for me really meant the fact that some people do something so much they become robotic. They lose interest in other things. You can work and become a robot and lose your love of art, music, fun etc.

So you got the website up and running, where did you get all of the photos from?

In the beginning the photos were ones that I took over the years. Once people started coming to the site they would email or mail copies of photos. We would then upload them. Then Kevin was able to develop an anonymous self-upload feature. That’s when everything changed. Images were pouring in and the site was updated every few hours. At the time, sites weren't live life social media.

That's insane. I remember stumbling upon the website around '07 and couldn't believe the amount of writers that were on there. How did you and Kevin promote yourselves?

Nice. In the beginning we had a big link exchange drive. A lot of sites hadn't heard of it so we would approach them about doing it. I'd advertise in a few magazines such as Peel magazine, Beautiful/Decay, and a few others. The biggest response was from the stickers. Putting them up, the trades, collaborations, etc. Link exchanges fell off because websites weren’t as important. I stopped doing magazine ads cause the big ones wanted a lot of money and the smaller ones that I liked stopped being made. By then the site had a huge following.

Time and dedication always prove to have the best results. As an artist, who has had an influence on your work?

As far as work ethic I'd say my dad and friends. People who work really hard have always surrounded me. As far as graffiti, art, and that stuff there's a huge list. One would be people I pass everyday. Seeing them and how, in their own world they are helping bring on ideas for new work.  All over parts of New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia , Connecticut, Indianapolis, parts of Florida and I just got back from Colorado and Utah.

How often do you and the team do limited releases like shirts or hats?

As far as RWK stuff it's mainly me who does the merchandise. I try and release stuff every few months. Hats a little less because of costs. Shirts and sweatshirts I've done a lot of over the years and have a bunch in the works. The limited edition enamel pins have been fun. I usually do a run of 100 and they've sold out in about 24-48 hours.

Very cool. How do you think RWK has impacted the graffiti scene?

To be honest I'm not sure. I know for years I've had people tell me stuff like "Yo I grew on that site.... I would sit for hours at the library to check it out… I was excited to see my work on there....” “It was amazing to see stuff from other countries that I would never make it to.” So by hearing that I'm hoping it made a big impact, but at the same time people forget. It's almost like it's taken for granted. People love talking about the stuff that's gone and how great it was. Yeah it was great but what happened? Why did it stop? Where is it now? We're still here. Not Done Yet, Not By Far.
