So, long story short, I took a break from the internet and ended up watching the first two seasons of Supernatural. And oh boy do I have an idea! Why the hell haven't we thought of a supernatural!Remrom au? I mean, even if the main plot of the fic wouldn't have to do with the overarching plot of Supernatural, just having the twins driving around solving supernatural conundrums together.

(loosely) Inspired by a scene from Supernatural | Season 2 Episode 11, Playthings (By loosely I mean very loosely, so yeah, it's nothing like most of the scene I'm talking about)

"Hurry up Roman! I'm sure whatever is causing these deaths can't wait to get their hands on all this!" Remus shouted suggestively.

"Stop Remus, we finally get to spend a job somewhere that isn't basically a cockroach-infested hell-hole, and you just have to talk about fucking supernatural creatures, again! We're trying to rid the world of them for god's sake!" Roman exclaimed.

The hotel was made of a red-stained oak, it was such a deep red that Remus had joked that it was stained in the victims’ blood. You could see moss and rot around the cracks and crevices at the base of the building. The roof was an odd color, and you could see gaps where the shingles had worn out or fallen off over the years. 

"Ha-ha, cock-roach," Remus chuckled, "like you wouldn't want to get it on with me after we finally kill that demon that offed your pretty little boyfriend!"

"Shut up, let's just get going."

"Oh hello! Welcome to the Pierpoint Inn!" The cheerful lady greeted. Seated at a desk 

“Thank you kindly, I can say I rather love the decor!” Roman praised, while Remus could be seen rolling his eyes in the background.

“Thanks!” The woman shined a slippery smile, “I used to decorate this place myself all the time, shame you guys won’t be seeing it for long.”

"Ohooh, that's a pretty ominous thing to say!" Remus interjects.

"I guess that was pretty ominous," The lady admitted, "what I meant is that this place is going to close in about a month or so."

"That's such a shame,” Roman frowned, “I’m also sorry for his ill-natured comment.”

“It’s fine, heaven knows I don’t expect you to be the polite sort when you are… what you are." She said, looking away uncomfortably, before moving on. "Anyways, I’m guessing you’d like a room!”

“Um… yes, we would like that,” Roman said, trying to awkwardly respond to the obviously homophobic sentiment. Remus just raised an eyebrow, ready to pounce if need be. 

“What in the whale penis does ‘our sort’ mean?” Remus interjected. 

“Well, men who like women certainly don’t go around complimenting furniture or traveling with their… partner,” She said snidely, “I mean you can do whatever you want, but I’m not one to want to see that… no offense of course.”

“Excuse me!?” Roman said, offense rolling off him like the ocean at the new moon, “In no world is that not offensive. I just-,” Roman cut himself off, realizing that if he kept this up they’d end up missing out on this job, “Please give us a room, and well get out of your hair.”

The room was ancient-looking and in need of a good dusting. It smelled like a well-loved passion and seemed well taken care of with a new-ish coat of maroon paint covering the walls of the room. The only thing off about the room was the copious amounts of dolls dotted around the room's many shelves. With all the arrangements for the room taken care of, there was really only one problem left…

I had a kinda remrom dream.

But I feel like I was dropped in at like the middle of the story. And it seemed like it started as prinxieity.

Cause all I witnessed was Remus and Roman walking into a place that had a lot if people in it and Virge noticing Roman from across the space and then tearfully running towards him in relief.

And all the people stop to watch as Remus turns to Roman and says 'go for him, everyone is expecting it.'

So Roman runs towards him and V practically glomps Ro into the ground. But Roman isn't as into it as he should be reuniting with his apparent boyfriend.

But Remus doesn't notice Roman's hesitation cause he's walking away dejected and V doesn't notice either cause he's just so relived.

And that's as far as I got in it and... I want to write something with it now..

You know, call me crazy and disgusting, but I recently have kinda changed my stance on RemRom and problematic ships overall.

NOW HEAR ME OUT. I swear it's not as bad as it sounds.

Incest is disgusting. That's not new. I personally dislike RemRom and problematic ships (problematic ships being incest, pedo, etc, not "problematic" in the context of people just think the dynamic is bad) and I would NEVER ship those ships. If I ship them y'all have permission to shoot me.

But you know... I write about murder. I write about torture. I write about suicide and self harm. I love pulling my characters into total and complete despair.

I don't advocate for these things in reality. I would be sickened if I witnessed or participated in this stuff. Me sharing my writing isn't encouraging people to participate in it.

Fiction doesn't translate into reality. I said the opposite a year ago, I know. I've seen a lot of posts that contradict my original statement and I rolled my eyes at it but I eventually started to listen. When I listened I found that while I am disgusted by the ships, they don't really have a worse impact than what I offer to the world. If those ships have no impact on reality besides making a few people a little uncomfy... why can't you ship problematic ships? Why can't you just write or draw whatever you want? There are lines to draw, like you should never ship real people, but in the case of RemRom... why not? The fictional characters won't care, they're fiction.

I'm still gonna block problematic shippers who post about em because I really don't like the ship at all but that's my problem, not theirs. I likely won't block people who are problematic shippers as long as they don't post about it on the blog they follow me with. I apologize for actively speaking out against them as a human being instead of quietly letting myself hate the ship. It was immature of me to translate my personal bias into what I advocate.

Tl;Dr: Problematic ships are problematic, but the people aren't problematic unless they support the actions in reality. Regardless if you write about murder, incest, or other bad things, that's just fiction. Fiction isn't real. Fictional ships won't hurt society. Problematic shippers deserve respect.

(RemRom shippers or any problematic shippers can interact with this post, you know, as a treat. Please don't follow me though.)

Sorry was only trying to reply to a post @pumpkin-padparadscha made that said “ im going back to sleep but remember to think about Remus putting a crown on Roman with an eager shark smile ” but I got carried away..and..yeah... lol I think about it every day, not to worry lol yanno if we keep talkin about Remus spring boarding Roman into being a cocky royal darkside ima have to break down and write about it lol. but I think about it and how Roman is kneeling when Remus puts it on him then helps him, how perfect it settles on his hair. Remus just drinks it in, Roman looks so damn regal. Remus then pulls him to his feet and straightens Romans clothes, giving him a quick kiss. That is the last time Roman will be kneeling to anyone. The others will understand that very quickly. He is done bending over backwards so they can all have their way. He is getting what HE wants now. Callbacks, movie parts, Broadway productions, record deals, you name it. Thomas WILL be a star when he is though. They were going to be more than just internet famous by the end of they year or DIE trying. It won’t be so hard, a little encouragement from Roman sprinkled in with some of so lovely Intrusive thoughts of failure to keep him up at night should Thomas decide not to comply with Romans wishes. Kind of a reward and punishment system. Nothing too terrible of course. After all he loved Thomas, that is what he did all this for.. LOVE. He was his knight, his prince and he only ever had Thomas best interests at heart if Thomas would just stop fighting him on it so much he would see that. Remus saw that, he knew his brother could do great things if given the chance. Remus believed in him, empowered him and most of all helped him remember he was a Prince. How had he gotten so lost in self doubt and depression that he had forgotten that? How did he get to this point where he was begging the others to just hear him out or even look at his work? ideas he had worked so hard on! Since when were they the experts on Creativity? who were they to question HIS work?! Remus had told him that daily for months. He was just too weak to hear it at first but not anymore. Remus was MORE than right. If they didn’t want to listen to him, he would MAKE them listen to him. His smirk only growing when he felt his brothers fingers tangle with his own. Roman tossed a razor sharp smile over his way as they began to feel Thomas tug them up to another discussion. The only question now was if they should be kissing when they appeared and would the sight in fact send Patton into cardiac arrest?
