How would your versions of Lawrusso(and maybe og cobras) from Rootbeer floats and green tea react if they ended up in the cobra kai universe? Like they ended up traveling to this alternative dimension of their lives. And they see how this older version of themselves and their kids/students? The Kreese and Silver problem? I just have tons of thoughts about it. And would love to hear your opinion.

Thank you. This would be probably pretty difficult for them because what I wanted was to give a ripple effect that allowed them to avoid Cobra Kai. Like a video game where the show is the arguably bad ending. (I mean it's not, but like for them it would be in a way) I'll put the entirety of this under a read more because it's going to be long. Lol guess what it's too long. I've got to do this in two parts. I didn't know tumblr had a limit for posts. 🤣 I wrote too much for Daniel and Johnny so they're going in a reblog, so this is cobras and Chozen.

Chozen: I think people wouldn't notice but he would. Kumiko would notice if he was back home and so would his friends back in Okinawa but for RBF&GT specific Chozen he'd be so lost because he'd made a home for himself in LA and it just wouldn't exist. And he wouldn't have the cobras as his friends or flirting with him and I think he'd be lonely. But he would see that Johnny and Daniel aren't together and I think he'd very quickly adjust and test the waters with Johnny, realize that Johnny hadn't ever like healed or anything of that journey he'd been on and he'd see if there was any of the Johnny he loved in there, realize there was and go for it. It'd take a bit of work, but I think he might succeed. Bobby: Would be surprised Johnny and Daniel aren't together, that Johnny and Daniel are both hurting still because of Kreese and Silver (ect.) and would feel obligated to help them both. He'd also do everything in his power to get Dutch out of jail and then lecture him forever. He would be reticent to break Daniel and Amanda up, but he'd try to peace keep and counsel and he'd probably try to get Johnny to move in with him, though I have no clue how that'd work with his family since he's married but we haven't met or know all the details there. And for all we know he might've tried and his partner might've banned him from having Johnny sleep on their couch. Dutch: Dutch would be surprised he was in jail, but then would think it was a cool experience for a moment. He'd call Bobby and tell him what happened and ask to get out because Bobby never changed his number and he couldn't get through to Johnny. He would try and see what magic he could do to try and fix everything. He would probably end up just moving in with Johnny and hassle him into getting better and healing. He'd probably be super bummed that he never healed his relationship with his parents. Jimmy: Would not notice a difference at first. Not for a while. Not until he tries to call up Tommy or visit him for lunch and realize he's not there and then find out Tommy's gone. Then he'll start finding other differences until he realizes what's happened but he won't believe it and he might have to take a leave of absence or something because he'll just completely spiral because he's still married and still got his kids but so much else is different and eventually he'll figure out what it is and try and fix it. For Tommy. Tommy: My goal in Root Beer Floats was to not let Tommy end up alone. His friends would all stay close and by his side and he'd have a job in the public eye so his health would be kept on a close eye on him. And I feel like this version of him would be a warning specter nightmare for him that he'd wake up from and just be like oh man, glad I don't live in that time line and then he makes sure to stop ignoring people and visit doctors on a regular schedule.

For as long as he can remember, dandelions or Taraxacum, had always had a special place in Bob’s mind and heart. He knew they were not the most beautiful flower, common and technically a weed, but he liked that even though most people overlooked them, they served an essential purpose. They could grow anywhere, and symbolised hope, resilience, and the ability to overcome challenges.

The whole dandelion plant was edible, not that Bob ate them on the regular. You could sauté or use the greens in soups or salads, use the petals to flavour wine, tea and even roast the roots for vegan coffee or root beer. It was used in medicine and homemade yellow dye and as a companion plant in a vegetable garden.

Bees, other insects, and certain birds and butterflies needed dandelions for nectar and food so they could go about their daily roles. When the bright yellow flower was done, it dried up and stayed protected by the leaves and stems. Once it was ready, the dying greens fell away and revealed the white fluffy ball of seeds on a single stem. All it took was a breath of wind before they scattered into the air and started the whole cycle all over again.

Bob had always admired everything about the dandelion and thought the plant was a bit like him really. It was simple to look at but had complexity to it. It was useful and important and tough without having to command attention with its looks. And as young boy, the seeds drifting off into the wind also started his fascination with flying.

And of course, there were the wishes.

When he was younger, he’d always wish on a single dandelion or run through the dried clusters of them in the paddocks of his family’s property and watch as the cloud of white floated away on the breeze. And more often than not, YFN, the youngest daughter of one of the ranch hands, would be with him when he did.

Dandelions reminded him of her too.

Bob and YFN were complete opposites but as thick as thieves growing up. She had always been kind and sweet like him but was more outgoing and had a little rebellious streak that got him to come out of his shy, awkward shell.

“C’mon Robbie. Make a wish. Better be sure it’s good one!” YFN would happily say each time she held a dandelion to his lips to blow.

Bob wished for all kinds of things over the years. When he was smaller, he closed his eyes tightly and hoped for a new bike, the new calf to be healthy or warm chocolate chip cookies after school. When they were a bit older, Bob would wish for an A on his maths test, to fly planes when he was older, to have YFN as his girlfriend and for her daddy to get better.

Bob begged the seeds that floated in the air to save her daddy, many, many times. Most of his wishes over the years came true, but that particular one never worked. And in the end her mamma had no choice but to move YFN and her sister across the country to be closer to her family.

The last time Bob and YFN ever made a wish together, was the day she moved away. He was thirteen and in love with the girl who had the most beautiful eyes and cheeky crooked smile. And felt like his heart was being ripped from his chest. They sat in the field amongst the dried dandelions for hours as the clock ticked down to her departure. Bob kissed YFN sweetly for the first time and they promised they would never forget each other.

As he blew masses of white fluff into the wind that day, Bob hoped for things that were never going to come true. YFN’s eyes were full of tears as she held the stem of their very last dandelion before she left to his lips and whispered sadly, “C’mon Robbie. Make a wish. Better be sure it’s good one.”

Bob wished to love her forever.

They tried to keep in touch, phone calls and letters but with time, distance, and separate lives they eventually grew apart. But Bob never forgot YFN and kept her in his heart and every time he saw a dandelion, he was reminded of her. If the flower was ready, he would bring it to his mouth and blow, silently hoping she was happy.

……

The ‘Dagger Squad’, as the specialised team of naval aviators Bob was apart of were affectionately known, were given a couple of days recovery after another tough assignment. They were having lunch and a drink together at the Hard Deck when the discussion randomly turned to tattoos. Bob had idea for the lifecycle of a dandelion and had been thinking about getting it done for a while, and his friends encouraged him to take the plunge.

Bob went on his laptop as soon as he got home and researched nearby tattoo parlours, looking for one that, in Hangman’s speak, wouldn’t leave him with a tramp stamp and a case of hepa-tities. He found a small shop, which had some great reviews about an hour away. It was called ‘Taraxacum’, and it instantly made Bob smile and think of YFN. He called them before he chickened out and got an appointment that evening just before the parlour closed.

As he waited alone in the reception area, Bob thought he would be nervous, but he was inexplicably calm. There was something that felt familiar about the shop, and a warm sense of déjà vu swept over him. He was drawn to a particular folder of artwork that was filled with various intricate sketches of a ranch, often with a pair of kids somewhere in the image. They seemed so intimate and personal and were captured with such attention to detail. They reminded him of home. As Bob flipped the page to the next drawing, he audibly gasped at what he saw.

In a patch of white, fluffy, dried up blooms, sat a young teenage boy, heartbroken eyes hidden behind wire rimmed glasses and a female hand that held a single dandelion to his lips.

Bob had no doubt that it was him, as he made that last wish with the girl he never forgot.

“Robbie.” A soft, sweet voice whispered his name in awe. Bob didn’t need to look up to know who it was, he knew it was YFN.

During their last day together, on that dandelion, he’d wished to love YFN forever. Bob lifted his head and gazed at those same beautiful eyes and cheeky crooked smile that he could never forget.

And he knew that his wish had come true.

I missed creating random headcanons, so here’s everyone’s favorite drinks! Feel free to suggest more!

Favorite Beverages:

Optimus- He’s particularly fond of jasmine and green tea, though really any herbal tea suffices. We all know the man needs to relax and herbal tea soothes him to a certain degree. If he��s in need of a dose of caffeine, he’ll switch to black tea. He never resorts to coffee; he can’t stand the taste.

Ratchet: Unlike Optimus, coffee is his friend. He downs at least three cups a day while typing away at his station. Some of it is to keep alert, though largely he just finds it comforting.

Arcee- She prefers iced coffee, namely oliang, or Thai iced coffee as it's often called. She could drink it all day and would if her companions didn’t cut her off.

Bumblebee- Lemonade! He enjoys the sweet and sour flavor and subsequent sugar rush. Sometimes he’ll even bounce up and down while drinking it (Ratchet is concerned about this).

Bulkhead- Strangely, he hates all sodas except for root beer, which is his favorite beverage. Root beer floats are even better!

Megatron- He’ll settle for plain black coffee, though in his heart of hearts he is a material girl who wants a cappuccino or latte served on a saucer.

Starscream- Earl Grey or English breakfast tea. He’ll even add a spot of milk and stir it condescendingly in front of the other Cons. He likes to think it an act of superiority even though he boils the water in the same dented teapot as everyone else.

Knock Out- You know he has the most obnoxious coffee order imaginable; he will not settle for anything less than what he asked for. So far, Breakdown’s been the only one not to crack under the pressure of fulfilling his order (mainly because Knock Out is much more forgiving towards him). Oh, and he also enjoys wine simply so he can swirl it about in a wine glass while lounging seductively.

Breakdown- Hot cocoa! All he’s ever tasted is the cheap powdery kind, but he does not care. He loves it. His secret sweet tooth must be satisfied (when no one’s looking, he adds lots of cream and sugar to his coffee in the morning).

Soundwave- Espresso. One shot and he’s good to go.

Shockwave- Water, of course; it’s the healthiest option. That being said, he’s not averse to coffee. It also has health benefits, so long as one doesn’t consume too much.

Bonus:

Skyfire- Vanilla steamer. It’s sweet and warm and soothing. He can only drink it at night, though, because it will immediately make him sleepy.

Rumble and Frenzy- Did anyone else mix together every single drink at the soda fountain as a kid? No? Well, I did and I think Rumble and Frenzy would, too. Doesn’t matter how disgusting it turns out in the end; they’ll drink every last drop and even offer some to Soundwave, who will sip it to appease them even though it nearly makes him break his impassive exterior.

Wildbreak- Bubble tea. It’s a special treat Knock Out gets him every once in a while. Somehow, his dad knows exactly what flavors he’ll enjoy.
