I hate how wary AI ‘art’ has made me. Every time I see something that looks a bit too good, a bit too clean, or just slightly odd in a way that feels unnatural, I end up staring at every detail. Not in appreciation, but looking for a ‘gotcha’ sign. I spend more time on pictures likely produced by AI than on actual art made by hard working creators and it makes me feel burnt out. Furthermore, I’m always suspicious of new artists in the fandoms I frequent and I hate it. I had to recently block an ‘artist’ whose pictures were clearly created with AI (like the hands were fucked with not enough or too many fingers and things were wonky in strange places) and not tagged as such. That person was uploading ten times a day! It’s extremely frustrating.
