Sonny Boy(9).an ambiguous film.but the scene at night in the sea and the music were worth watching.

Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu (13).this is a serious film, although it is hidden by comedy.the scene where the hero kills a woman looking into her eyes was very effective.

Uramichi Oniisan (17).the best adult film of the year.a film about love, happiness, life and... other "mythical animals"

Ryuu to sobakasu no hime (20).one of the best films of the year.although I watched it by mistake-I confused it with another movie.however, the scene with the "black and gold" field at the end of the film was very effective.

Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai! (22). one of the best female films of the year.if you read between the lines, then this is a very sad movie.

Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi (31).almost the second best adult film of the year.a movie with the main character,with a real man.

86 EIGHTY-SIX 2nd (40).just one word-déception

Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki 2 (42).the most naive film of the year.

Ryman's Club (43).a rare case is a movie about sports that I liked.

Shikkakumon no Saikyou Kenja (44).training swords were similar to swords-and this rarely happens in anime.

Takt Op. Destiny (55).one of the films with the main character.I confused Ryuu to sobakasu no hime with this movie-the ladies are very similar.I am glad of this mistake-instead of one movie I saw two effective ones.

Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu TV2 (62).the sad glory of the film that caused the strongest flow of "selected Burgundian abuse" ... I liked only two things-the armor of the guards in the scene of the execution of the local feudal lord and the battle scene on the high mountain pass-important words were said there.

Leadale no Daichi nite (65).probably the best female movie of the year I've seen. anyway, i can't fault this lady that you wasted your youth and now you're playing family?the lady lived all her life in the hospital and died there. so she can... I liked the gnome, the most serious of her stupid "children".

mieruko-chan (71).the second best female film of the year.despite cheap tricks like an emphasis on the chest, the flashing of half-naked girls in the frame-the film surprisingly turned out to be good.I especially liked the fox spirits doing their duty.

Blue Period (73).I can’t draw myself, so I love films about artists.despite some "fashionable modern phenomena", the film turned out to be so harmonious that I would buy a video cassette with it.

RPG Fudousan (74).women's film, comedy.I especially remember how the lady bard sang the song....

Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu (86).the film is notable for the fact that there is a main character here, but not a hero-chevalier, but a petty dork (as in kaifuku utsushi).battle scenes (robots...)drawn so primitively (2-4 frames per second) What I thought:it's the 90th year and I'm watching transformers? Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo (116).young people will love this film - it's full of debauchery with lush vénus paléolithiques. and there will be even more at the end of the film. but besides this nonsense, there are two unique and great things in the film. first.at the beginning of the film, peasant women are shown-in normal women's dresses and a covered head!amazing! second.the film presents a simple, logical and at the same time the rarest (in movies, anime, games) economic system-three types of coins in value.Fantastic! those are two things that no Bethesda would think of! modern man probably does not understand what is wrong with depicting half-naked women in some kind of vulgar carnival clothes and bare head to boot in a pseudo-medieval history. but I think that any modern person understands the absurdity of the idea of a loaf of bread for 20 gold coins... the author of this story is some kind of scientific genius.it's a pity that he chose the wrong genre.

Hataraku Maou-sama 2 (117).sequels filmed after many years... how much annoyance and disappointment are hidden in their words ... it's almost always a different studio, a different style of drawing and appearance of the characters, different voices of the characters.Hélas.

Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Motokano datta (120).I don’t know what this movie is about, but episode 8 and the second half of episode 10 are the most effective. Isana is the best female character of the year number 3.

Youkoso Jitsuryoku...2 (125).unusual.usually an interesting film is interesting only in the first season.next, 2, 3 continued-worse and worse.this movie is the opposite.the first season was like cardboard instead of cake - about nothing. not a single memorable character.the second film was unexpectedly bright.Pourquoi?-Cherchez la femme...Kei is perfect for the main character. They are generally the perfect couple. Probably the best couple this year. (I don’t keep statistics on couples, but it’s quite possible).

I've watched Belle or Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime. And it was great. Yeah, we can see the end was crushed but leave it open made it more beauty, because it just a story about two little lives: their fears, their emotion.

At the end I have headcanon that Justin can be boy's dad. Suzu tell to Justin that he was obsessed by rules and order. And what we can hear from Kai's and Tomo's dad? That he is a law in their house. He obsessed with order at all. He and Justin both wear wristwatch(or what it can be on Justin's hand) on right hand, that can be a way we can think that they both left-handed/in this place I'm not sure because till the end I didn't mention any spot of Justin's movement/.

I can't find another reason for focused our attention to the arm with wristwatch for so long time/I mean not in the way of domestic violence and violence against weak people/.

It can explain why Justin want to defeated him. His son think The Dragon is good, but not his father. His Dad was sure that he is just a maniac with love to fights, but Toma knew that it was his brother, who protected him.

May be I just hate Justin character so connect his person with real dumbass.

Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime review ish??

I’ve read some other reviews about the new 2021 film Ryuu to sobakasu no hime or Belle. I noticed a lot of people tend to get confused on the ending and I will say I was to at a time! But I’ve thought about it and I realised that the movie is basically about two pleading souls trying to find the courage to face their fears. Suzu/Belle’s fear was being seen for what she truly was. A normal girl who hides herself away from everyone too scared to face the world again after her mothers traumatic passing. Dragon/kei’s would be the fear of letting anybody in to his heart to see the scars that he has been holding and hiding to himself because he usually protects. I don’t think he has ever been protected before or it’s been a while. The “Daisuke” scene wasn��t as romantic as I thought it would be when hearing ye criticism. It felt more like admiration? I don’t know if that’s the right word but I think it was more of a “thank you for being in my life” or something along those lines. Really should have woken up more before I wrote this lol.

But yeah! I think it’s just a lovely story about two people held by their tragedy helping each other to overcome it. He helped her overcome showing who she was and she helped him overcome his trust issues and managed to burrow her way into his heart. Which I think is pretty beautiful…

It was all over the media in Twisted Wonderland.

It was obviously an Avatar from a famous Virtual Reality, but the voice, the looks, the clothing, it was someone who Vil idolizes.

He likes to call himself Belle's number one fan as he always tries to do a collaboration with Belle, but ends up being rejected.

Epel had immediently befriended you out of spite due to Vil. He was skeptical due to your looks, but the skepticism faded as he spent time with you.

He then considered you a true friend.

Often helping you with whatever tasks/chores the oppressor landed in front of you.

He was the one introducing you to where he escapes from Vil whenever he was "free".

And he also helped with your music and coordinations (with a 'bit' of help from the Light Music Club, Kalim and Jamil)

We've been blessed with another great year in the fandom, with the last 2 installments of Ruroken are finally released and he's once again proven that no one could ever be a better Kenshin than he was, then he delivered an amazing performance in his 2nd movie as a voice actor in Belle (Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime / The Dragon and The Freckled Princess), he delivered yet another amazing performance in In The Wake (Mamorarenakatta Mono tachi e / To Those Who Were Not Protected), enough to get him a nomination for Best Lead Actor in Japan Academy Awards 2022, to the several books he's released during the same year, Miyagi kara, a book about his (and Kamiki's) trip to Miyagi to commemorate 10 years of Great East Japan Earthquake, Backstage Pass Takeru Satoh, a book containing 10 years of staff report blog entries, and of course, his calendar / radio diary book.

Takeru Satoh Radio Diary, is a concept for his 2022 calendar. As the name suggests, it's a calendar book, with a monthly diary entry, a series of stories written by Takasaki Takuma, and read by Takeru, all in a radio broadcast vibe.

To celebrate his 33rd birthday, I'd like to share some of the entries from the radio diary, from January to March, and also a special voice message from Takeru himself from his birthday entry.

Prologue

The man built a small radio station.

From the rooftop of a building in the city, whenever he felt like it, he will start the broadcast, and talk about things happening on that day, or put someone’s concerns into words.

If he started it earlier, it might have been called something witty like Pirate broadcast.

The words became voices, become sounds, and flew into the city sky.

Maybe no one will hear it, maybe it will reach someone.

When he just put the words together as he goes, someone called it a story.

He can almost create a song from it, but he still feels something is missing.

Somehow the man was pleased with it.

Part 1 - What A Wonderful World

If tomorrow,

all sounds are going to disappear,

Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime (Belle) Novel | English Translation | Chapter 6

**This is a machine translation. I put it together by extracting text page-by-page from a .pdf version of the Japanese novel, and running it through Google translate. I have only minorly edited some of the more confusing lines to make it more read-able. It is still a very rough translation, but it’s good enough to understand what’s going on. Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime - sorta review?

*spoilers below* (I tried to avoid mentioning too many details)

Themes/Topics covered: 15/10

Disney and Ghibli won't touch these topics with a 10ft pole. (Disney* refers to Disney Princess collection since Belle fits in this trope) It's interesting to see this movie trope covering about children abuse / childhood trauma / good and bad sides of internet (it's too exaggerated imo but kudos for the attempt) / 'good' guy being the bad guy (the justice corps trying to gain legitimacy by painting Ryuu as a menace then remove Ryuu so that they become heroes. Bonus for the money supporting their campaign via company sponsors) There's many more themes I haven't mention, these are just main ones (Hosoda really went all out in trying to squeeze as many themes as possible into the movie at the cost of plot quality)

Plot: 6/10

Everything is rushed. Suzu's reason why she can't sing, Bell befriending Ryuu, Suzu's school drama, etc. I know they tried to squeeze everything in within the limited movie time but plot transition is terrible tbf. The light novel version added more details but not much, plot jumps are still vertigo inducing, especially the karaoke scene. The scene jumps made the plot weak, like Ryuu chasing Bell away then returning to rescue her could've an extra shot where he felt bad for scaring someone away for just trying tried to help him and tries to find her. The school love drama scene wasn't necessary I think, just an extra internet theme paste on that is standalone from the rest of the plot. Platonic love is nice though I think a lot of people missed the memo even when it's hinted in the trailer MV (they didn't kiss) that might be too subtle for most people though (but I think I might've seen spoiler about the movie being platonic so I might be over prepared for seeing that too)

I think Hosoda tried to capture the feel of internet culture, he got some right, but execution is exaggerated because he either never engaged in real internet enough to make it feel authentic or it's intentionally exaggerated as a parody. School girl love drama- this is more like shoujo love manga kind of drama unless this is culture in Japan? (I've never been in Japanese schooling system so can't say what culture is like there). Or it could be a mock simulation of how celebrity life drama works (because that's exactly what paparazzi + tabloids would do when they see celebrity holding hands with some ordinary person)

The aunties allowing Suzu to go into a potentially dangerous situation in another prefecture alone????? No sensible mature/responsible adult would do that. (there are some people like that but still.. this turned the movie into adults are useless trope) Also kids watching this movie- don't copy Suzu, pls don't go running into dangerous situations on your own without backup

Peggy Sue's cameo- F. The movie gets a 'you tried' star for efforts to do character development with the least amount of scenes possible.

Music: 15/10

Very good music, not much of a surprise there considering all the artists involved in the movie. The only surprise is probably Suzu/Bell's VA. Hosoda picked a really good singer; I'd never think Kaho Nakamura is capable of singing Disney Princess musical style based on her usual music genre. This movie really brought out her hidden talents.

Average Score: 12/10

Overall it's still a great movie so go watch it!

(Scores based on comparing this movie with other popular western/anime movies. Above 10 = exceed average very good movies. Ghibli music/songs are always great but Belle's songs takes movie music to whole different level especially when you experience it for the first time)
