😇Tamagotchi Angel Speed Run (To Hell)😈
!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH VIRTUAL PET ABUSE !!!
The Tenshitchi no Tamagotchi/Angelgotchi/Tamagotchi Angel is a curious incarnation of the classic Tamagotchi series in that its multitude of hidden characters have some unexpected requirements to obtain them, ranging from perfect care (Twin Angels) to flat-out abandonment (faceless Lucky Poo).
Twin Angels resulting from perfect care. See? I can play properly.
The international version, the Tamagotchi Angel, also has a slightly different set of characters and birth/death scenes. The most heinous omission, in my opinion, is the "worst" character Debirutchi/Deviltchi. Something about angels being okay but veering clear of Satanic references in overwhelmingly Christian countries like the US? Localization is a can of worms we'll open another day.
My boy Deviltchi (in multiple!) with Sabotenshi, a hidden character removed from the international version and replaced with Smiling Angel for some reason? As featured on 1998 Sealdass "Pastel Tamagotchi Series 2" card 6.
From my understanding, in the Japanese version you can easily get Deviltchi during the baby Obaketchi stage through turning the lights off during the day, healing the illness (curse?) that results, rinse and repeat around 5-6 times until it transforms.
Well. I tried this on the US version and...um, let's just say this is the fastest I've ever played a Tamagotchi. Special thanks to my Uratama who graciously acted as timekeeper.
Here's how it went:
21:31:00: Born
21:31:36 Sick after turning lights off then on
21:31:51 Healed
21:32:06 Lights off
21:32:40 Healed after turning lights back on
21:32:57 Death spiral
21:33:14 Bad End
It should be noted that during the death spiral, instead of turning into Deviltchi, it alternated between the somewhat terrifying "sick" Obaketchi and a solid black egg.
Yikes.
So, just over 2 minutes from birth to death...which might have been even faster had I not been photographing each stage. For reference, I played a full 15 days on my last run with the Twin Angels.
My Japanese Angelgotchi is currently being repaired, but once it returns I plan to run this experiment again to see if I can get "Twin" Deviltchis on two different classic Tamas. Stay tuned?
EDIT: A second run went EVEN FASTER, and I managed to kill it in under a minute. Next time I'll see if I can get it on video...

January 6th 2012
Like announced, I decided to hatch my V4 again
After it died the last time I cared for it, I had to start with the first generation again.
I entered the time, my user name and birthday and... got distracted and therefor missed to see, if my baby was a girl or boy ^^' Well, I googled for some nice gender neutral Japanese names and decided to name it Yuki.
Turned out, it was a boy:
Baw, poor sick and unhappy little fellow :(
I'm not sure yet, for which character I wanna go. Temptation is there to just leave the skill points at zero and see what happens... hm, I guess that's what I will do ^^ Which means: no games or school for my little one, just snacks.
Shortly before going to bed, Yuki evolved into Harutchi...
... and the following day, while I was out of house, grocery shopping, he turned into Young Mametchi:
I almost didn't notice, because at first glance they look pretty much alike ^^'
But pressing C and watching him come closer confirmed, that sth happened in my absence ;P
Of course feeding snacks instead of playing games sooner or later takes its toll...
To cheer him up and finally earn some GP and items, we decided to visit TamaTown today, played a couple rounds of ring tossing and collected every souvenir we could get hold of *hehe*
Here are Yukis stats after going to bed:
- Hungry: ❤❤❤O
- Happy: ❤❤❤O
- Training: ▪▪
- Skill points: 0/0/0
- Age: 2yr
- Weight: 97lb
- 5700gp
On a side note: it's weird how slow everything appears when you're used to the fast clock setting and toilet flushing animations of the V5 o_o also the buttons are harder to press... hm...

As I hoped, I got an universal adult - unfortunately, though, thanks to some magnificent lack of care... Gozarutchi.
I do like him, that's not the problem, but I already got him on the first generation of my V5, so I'm kinda 'meh!' about seeing him again this soon :/ I was hoping for Debatchi or Pyontitchi... duh...
Well, whatever. So be it.
At least poor Yuki doesn't have to stick to that unhealthy lifestyle of endless candy and zero sport anymore!
Yay!
We also went to TamaTown again, where we were told the strangest rumor...
... how many skill points? ... are we really talking about the V4 here? o_o That's the first time I ever heard of this.
Still contemplating whether or not accepting that challenge with one of Yuki's descendants, we continued our little stroll through TamaTown and once in a while took a photo of its residents.
And here's a photo of Yuki himself showing me some badass ninja tricks in front of the school:
Later on we went to the Game Center, to earn some more money, and to the Mall, to spend all of it again ;P
Yuki really loves his new stereo and clothes...
... the ball, on the other hand, still needs a tad more training:
My boy ended his day with a nice relaxing bath...
Here his current stats:
- Hungry: ❤❤❤❤
- Happy: ❤❤❤❤
- Training: ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪
- Skill points: 2/1/13
- Age: 3yr
- Weight: 97lb
- 1740gp

Yuki married a joyful little Yattatchi and became father of an adorable tiny boy:
I decided to call him Keks (German for "cookie") and see, if that strange rumor about the possibility for more than one special character from Kuchipatchi was true.
After his dad left him, Keks soon evolved into Mohitamatchi.
From then on, I kept (and still keep) his clock paused most of the time, only unfreezing it to buy him bananas, feed those to him and play Jumping Rope.
Here a photo of yesterday's stats:
I think I'll stick with my bananas strategy, despite the regular tooth ache it gives him ^^'
If the rumor turns out false and there are no additional special characters... well, whatever, I'm happy with a Nonbiritchi, too, since I never had one before either ;)
Here Keks' current stats:
- Hungry: ❤❤❤❤
- Happy: ❤❤❤❤
- Training: ▪
- Skill points: 20/27/170
- Age: 0yr
- Weight: 94lb
- 10490gp
~
Btw, starting tomorrow I'll be participating in St. Diabolo's Vintage Hatch with my Angelgotch :)
My aim: Sabotenshi!
