Quebrada del Escoipe, Salta, Argentina: A 40-minute drive from the town of Salta, this mountain road now takes you into the heart of the majestic Andes. A windy road along the river, then a breathtaking climb up the mountainsides, to Piedra del Molino, culminating at about 3,700 meters. Next, we'll travel to Cachi, a beautiful, almost untouched colonial town in the middle of the Calchaqu quebrada. Lots of good hotels and great places to eat. Not to be missed.

Church of the Vineyard, Salta, Argentina: The church of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria de la Viña is a Roman Catholic church located in the city of Salta, Argentina. It was built from 1873 to 1886 mainly to house the Virgen de la Candelaria, which would later be called Virgen de la Candelaria de la Viña, and this is the reason for the name of the church. The tower of the church, 44 m high, stands out next to the tower of the San Francisco Church, as it is one of the tallest ecclesiastical towers in Argentina. Wikipedia Photo by: Alessandro Grussu
