Friends, foes and followers. Mal’aeson is a former member of the Cult of the Damned, having studied for years in Scholomance. Presently he is the fledgling cult leader of Shadow’s Vigil, a family of societal outcasts and “lost souls” founded alongside his partner, Selina Morrowsong.

As such I am looking for dark, macabre and horror themes. Heavy emphasis on undead (spirits and zombies primarily). Gore, violence and torture. Ritual sacrifice (potential animal cruelty warning).

She's been working in the library for hours, a little break would be nice. She closes the book the sound produces breaks the silence of the library, Selina then goes out.

It's first a faint sound, a faint sound that stops her, it's this sound that out of curiosity pushes her to the hole at the origin. And the sound that made her discover a veiled woman dancing to the music produced by a paladin playing the violin.

Seven Items from the Wanderer

HER’S FATHERS GUN

A well-made shotgun engraved with the initials “C.H.” It belonged to her father and was passed onto Josie upon his death. She has it enchanted quite frequently to keep rust and wear from settling in.

HER ARRAY OF HATS

From feathered hats to simple bonnets, Josie is rarely caught without a hat of some sort on while she is out in public. She adores attaching small trinkets, ribbons, and other items to make them more “fanciful”.

HER SATCHEL OF HERBS

With her hands in a constant state of dirt and mud, it comes as no surprise that she rarely leaves her satchel behind. It is made from one of the leatherworkers in Darnassus as a gift and she treasures it. Inside the satchel, she has her herbs placed in small jars and smaller leather purses with scratched handwriting labels that only she could read.

LACED UP LEATHER BOOTS

When traveling through Pandaria or the Alteracs, one needs good shoewear. Nothing is better than good ole Gilnean City footwear, in her opinion, she might look ridiculous scaling a mountain side in them but damn it, she looks good. (In her honestly “humble” opinion)

THE LOCKET

Once thought lost in Gilneas, Josie was able to be reunited with her grandmother’s locket through a dear friend. It does not shine with the golden hue nor it is as smooth as it used to be. Rather the locket is an off orange-bronze color with several dents in it. However, Josie likes to liken it to her own heart - bruised but still beating on.

HER LEDGER

As if she was going to leave business behind! Tucked in her satchel, Josie keeps a ledger of her accounts and business arrangements. She deals mostly in the leather and herb trade business with picking up some extra items here and there. Lately, she has been supplying the Alliance with herbs for healing and teas.

A SMALL KEY

She found it on the docks of Stormwind one evening while she was disembarking from a long journey overseas. To help cope with the aftermath of war, she has taken a liking to making mysteries around it. Where did it come from? Where does it belong to? To whom does it belong to? One will never know.

Kissed one of your friends? — “Guilty. What is the alternative? To kiss strangers? Mind you, now that I think on it, there may be some out there that might enjoy that too greatly.”

Danced on a table in a bar / tavern? — “Not that I can ever recall, no. I do not tend to visit such places in search of the booze, and so, I have yet to ever get sloppy enough drunk in one to even consider embarrassing myself to such a degree.”

Asked someone to marry you?  “Guilty. If you asked me the real question is why they said yes. But some people are just interested in surface questions.” Kirollis quipped while looking square the questionnaire.

Kissed one of your friends? “If you haven’t kissed one of your friends I think you might have the wrong idea about dating. But hey, who am I to judge.”

Danced on a table in a bar / tavern?  “What happens in Shattrath stays in Shattrath...”

Ever told a lie? “Ever breathe air? See I can ask completely useless questions too.”

Had feelings for someone you can’t have?  “Guilty.” He answered, this time without that usual smug comment.

Ever kissed someone of the same sex? The rogue blinked as his head craned backward. It took him a minute but he finally admitted, “They’ve kissed me. Same difference, right? Can’t say I was a willing participant, but it happened.”

Made a boyfriend / girlfriend cry? A somber and serious tone overtook him for the moment. “Unfortunately, I am guilty of that.”

“I’ll answer these. But only if I get to wear this hat the whole time.”

Asked someone to marry you?  The young monk snerked as she shook her head, “Innocent. I don’t even think I’ve dated anyone more then a few months. Which is probably for the best, I wouldn’t want someone to pop the question super early into knowing them.”

Kissed one of your friends?  “Well the people I kiss certainly aren’t strangers.” Soriya replied in a matter of fact tone. “I’m guilty of that one.”

Danced on a table in a bar / tavern?  A hand came up to meet her face before her palm slowly dragged down as she grunted out, “Guilty. I was really drunk okay.... I’m pretty sure I’m still not allowed at Fizzle & Pozziks.”

Ever told a lie?  “I try not to. But what am I supposed to tell the kids when it’s Winters Veil and they’re looking for Father Winter?” A small smirk graced her lips along with that victorious expression she held whenever she said something clever.

Had feelings for someone you can’t have?  “I uhm, well... I think so?”

Ever kissed someone of the same sex?  “Okay it happened one time- one time of a bunch of them. But that’s not the point.”

Kissed a picture?  Soriya shifted her eyes to the side, “Okay so this one time I did because I wanted to leave lip marks on the picture. Don’t ask me why. I’m not telling.” Though the shade of crimson that crept up her cheeks betrayed her.

Slept until 5pm?  “Never after a full nights sleep. Innocent.”

Worked at a fast food chain / restaurant?  “I worked at a Pandarian eatery one summer because it was close to Tian and I was kind of broke. It wasn’t the worst thing but oh my gods if I stayed there I would have gained eighty pounds.”

Stolen something?  “Not that I can remember? I can’t really speak for any gifts I’ve received though. I know a lot of rogues...” With a deep sigh she admitted, “I just gave up asking questions, really.”

Been fired from a job?  “Nope! And I have glowing recommendations to prove it!”

Done something you regret? “I really, really, try not to live with any regrets. But I think the older I get the more I realize that it’s not about never having them- but learning to live with them and moving on.”

Laughed until something you were drinking came out of your nose? She grumbled out, “Blame my dad...”

Caught a snowflake on your tongue?  “Oh totally. Who hasn’t? That’s like a common thing right?”

Sat on a roof top?  “I don’t know what it is but I really do like rooftops. I’m not a big fan of cities, to be honest. They’re really crowded and loud and nobody really cares about anyone else. But from the rooftops you can really see the beauty of it all.”

Kissed someone you shouldn’t have?  “See my answer on regrets.” She said with a wink. “But- nobody really comes to mind.”

Sang in the shower?  “All- The- Time ♪” Her melody sounded strangely like a Backstreet Boys song.

Been pushed into a body of water with all your clothes on?  “Okay first of all I -never- need to be pushed into a body of water. I’ll jump willingly. No problems there.”

Shaved your head?   “I would literally cry. I mean... maybe for a good cause. I know they donate hair sometimes. I’ve never done it though.” With a hesitant expression the monk quickly walked it back, “Aaaaactually.... I think I might just find better things to donate. It sounds kind of creepy.”

Made a boyfriend / girlfriend cry?  “Not to my knowledge? But you would have to ask them.”

Shot a gun?  “There was this dwarf marksman when I was growing up that let me shoot at tin cans he set up on a log. But that was the only time. I liked hunting with a bow better, anyways.”

Still loved someone you shouldn’t? “Nope. If you’ve touched my heart you’ll always be there, no matter what happens. Some feelings you can’t just wish away, you know? I just try and embrace them.”

Have / had a tattoo?  Soriya snickered, “I have like fourteen and I’m definitely not showing you all of them.” She did roll up the left sleeve on her shirt to show off the Yu’lon tattoo that snaked up from wrist to shoulder.

Liked someone, but will never tell who?  “Yeah right. Like I could keep a secret like that. Innocent.” 

Been too honest?  “Not to me? I think that honesty is the best way forward. Sometimes it’s the hardest part of it all, just being honest about it. But I think it’s worth it.”

Ruined a surprise?  Teal eyes darted diagonally down toward the floor, “Guilty.” She said with absolutely no context.

Been told that you’re beautiful by someone who totally meant what they said?  “I think... that I’ve gotten better at telling who’s genuine about that sort of thing and who isn’t. But I know at least one person means it, and I like to think a few of the others mean it too.”

Stalked someone?  “No. But apparently like... I get spied on just because my dads a spy? Still need to talk to him about all that.” A visible shiver ran up her spine at the prospect.

Thoughts about murder? “Not a fan.” She stated adamantly. “I get that it’s like this big part of the world we live in. That it’s not something that’s really going to change overnight. But I don’t like it. Especially after hearing some of the reasons...”

How about mass murder?  “Uhm, like, the exact way I feel about murder but uhm... you know, worse? Like- those are the people I could maybe justify just the one murder with.”

Cheated on someone?  “There was this one time at this board game...”

Lifting her hands in concession Soriya chuckled it off, “I’m just kidding, I know what you mean. Innocent.”

Gotten so angry that you cried?  While she looked a little ashamed about the fact she still admitted, “A couple of times, yeah. It’s not that I think crying is bad or anything, but I don’t like to let myself get like that. But we’re all just people, right?”

Tried to stay away from someone for their own good?  “I don’t think I’ve been put in a position where I thought that was a good idea to be totally honest. Innocent.”

Thoughts about suicide?  “I uhm, never really understood it. I mean, wait, no I understand it but... I guess I’ve just never been in those shoes? I don’t want to say anything insensitive.”

Had a girlfriend / boyfriend? “Sort of-not-really...”

Gotten totally drunk during a holiday?  The young monk cleared her throat before offering up a honeyed, “Guilty.”

It took a few minutes for Melorica to recover from the laughing fit that question sent her into. Every attempt she made to compose herself dissolved into another outbreak of the giggles. She laughed until she was read in the face and nearly keeled over. Finally, she was able to squeak out an intelligible response.

“Me? Courageous? Oh, sweetie. We really need to get to know each other better. You’ll see me jump at my own shadow more times than you would believe!” She took another deep breath, fighting off the nervous tittering laugh. “And no, I have great difficulty overcoming obstacles in my way. It’s not easy being this short.” 

She sighed and shook her head, her golden curls bouncing. A snort escaped her nose. “Courageous? Ha!”

“You have questions? Sit for some tea, hmn? I think I may have some answers.”

Asked someone to marry you? — “It wasn’t quite the way I went about in life, though I did end up marrying.” The Gravekeeper chuckled oddly. “I don’t think I will be starting to now.”

Kissed one of your friends? — “I’m a bit on the dead side of things if you haven’t noticed. And not the lovely, sensual sort of dead, like some of those that might call me friend now.” Another snicker - she found these questions to be quite the irony to her existence. ”That’d be just a bit odd, don’t you think? Don’t you go putting ideas in my head now.”

Danced on a table in a bar / tavern? — “I’d consider myself innocent now.”

Ever told a lie? — ”I imagine I’m guilty of it, but I’ve not much to hide these days besides the bodies requiring a burial.”

Had feelings for someone you can’t have? — “Ah, well. Maybe guilty in a time that no longer matters.”

Ever kissed someone of the same sex? — “...again. Another life, another time.”

Kissed a picture? — The inhumanly smooth face turned, metallic whisper easing from her throat. “I believe my answers may be a touch repetitive at this point.”

Slept until 5pm? — There was only a silent, unblinking stare from deathly eyes that rarely went out. Next question.

Worked at a fast food chain / restaurant — “Innocent?” 

Stolen something? — “Mn, guilty perhaps in life before. Most things are given to me.”

Been fired from a job? — “Proudmoore once revoked me from a position after her Theramore in Dalaran, and the Alliance again sought to ‘relieve’ me of my role as Keeper of the grounds in the Ruins of Lordaeron. I remain at least to retain the latter, if not in the Ruins anymore.”

Done something you regret? —  "If one of the Forsaken tells you they feel no guilt, the poor thing either had its mind wiped repetitively, or is lying.”

Laughed until something you were drinking came out of your nose? — “Are you hoping to make a dead woman spurt tea through her nose? I’m not looking to start a record.”

Caught a snowflake on your tongue? — “Perhaps, perhaps no. I can’t recall the little things.”

Sat on a roof top? — “Guilty maybe in life? I don’t think it’s quite wise for me to take up parkour in my state now.” Another odd, haunting little chuckle.

Kissed someone you shouldn’t have? — “Another kissing question. Are you  trying to dare me to?”

Sang in the shower? — “I don’t tend to...now. But now you’re going to make me think, aren’t you?” 

Been pushed into a body of water with all your clothes on? — “I prefer to rinse when death calls for it. I’d like to see someone try to push me. Heh.”

Shaved your head? — “I surely hope not!”

Made a boyfriend / girlfriend cry? — Another dry, hollow chuckle. “I’m quite sure I bring plenty to tears at the mere sight. No strings attached.”

Shot a gun? — “Can’t quite remember. Certainly not now. I prefer my spade.”

Still loved someone you shouldn’t? — “Mmn, once or twice in life. Undeath tends to turn the root of what once was bitter, though. Best not to dwell on it too long, or you end up a mad haunt.”

Have / had a tattoo? — “I haven’t had the chance to look, really. This body is rather new...”

Liked someone, but will never tell who? — “I don’t quite know how to answer this question...”

Been too honest? — “Ah, quite guilty, quite.”

If someone’s telling me I’m beautiful, I assume they either want something, are saying it ironically, or...are being rude. Living and...otherwise; words are words. There’s quite a few that prattle on with little meaning.”
