did anyone else feel that the yellowjackets finale was kind of lackluster

#i wish i could put this into words but like the grown up storyline felt.... wrong? incomplete? weirdly ended? #i only enjoyed lottie. the conclusion to the shauna debacle felt ???? insane. the plot twist felt out of left field. idk ? #it's sad bc the 90's storyline is giving so much! but now the mystery is kinda over and they don't have a strong cliffhanger for the adults #clara for ts #yellowjackets

i’ve seen a lot of posts about how shauna has effectively cannibalized jackie’s life (marrying her boyfriend, living in their hometown, celebrating jackie’s birthday with jackie’s parents) but jackie’s mom seems to think shauna’s life sucks. her comfort is not in seeing shauna and imagining jackie in her place, but rather in thinking about this idealized version of her daughter where jackie does better than this! jackie would have gone out into the world and left her mark. she would have been breathtaking. she would not have lived shauna’s diminished existence.

so, this is a post i’ve been dreading to make for the past week. warning: long ass post ahead of you. under the cut for reasons.

i’ve kind of been m.i.a for a good few months now and i first of all want to say thank you to everyone who’s *tried* reaching out to me. on an impulse, i literally deleted tumblr (well i erased all of the history on my laptop and deleted the app from my phone/ipad). the reason? i needed time.

for those of you that know me, we’ve probably talked about the manchester bombing. you know that one at the ariana grande concert? before, that i was dealing with GAD (generalised anxiety disorder, for those of you that don’t know it’s an anxiety disorder that is typically all the things you’d probably associate with anxiety). after that, i developed a form of ptsd and i was really struggling. i actually took a leave of absence from university last year, and i’m just starting to go back this year. that was good for me in a way. i just focussed on me.

i tried to keep up with yt and tumblr and facebook and instagram and everything else i was on, but honestly? i was just so tried, so on an impulse, i deleted my apps for everything and decided i needed a timeout. i’ve barely touched my phone or laptop in months. i’ve done a lot of walks, gone to the gym a lot and tried to be a lot healthier, and it has helped loads.

i’ve also had tons and tons of hospital trips due to my physical health too, and that’s part of the reason i tried to be healthier (for those of you who don’t know i have asthma and have had it since i was basically born and it’s not always well controlled and i do have mutiple hospital trips to ane for asthma attacks per year).

long story short: to all my friends out there im sorry for not telling anyone and just kinda disappearing but hopefully this explains some of it. and i am coming back slowly. don’t expect tons of gifsets/drabbles any time soon but i promise i’m coming back.
