Bo-shuriken are stick-shaped shuriken. There’s some variations, but a lot of it looks a little bit like a pencil.
This is slightly thicker than the hari-shuriken, the needles that Hanzo uses, and typically on the short side (to be hidden in the palm).

Happy Belated Birthday, Nobu!
The Bushotai Nobu got his Classic Green Outfit recently, so I thought I’d do my Nobu crossover picture with them all wearing that Classic Green instead of their normal clothes LOL.
I wanted to add more Nobus from other fandoms that I also like, for example Sengoku Musou or other random stuff that I’ve read/watched/played, but then that would be like 10 Nobus and I don’t have the time for it.

SLBP: Lords' ideal types
Introduction:
In Otome, we can obviously dive into the life of a specific MC and while she often differs slightly depending on which love interest we're following, she remains the same character with the same background and overall personality. Most developers make an effort to make her as neutral as possible as to enable self-insertion for the largest group of readers, but needlessly to say, that's an aim that can hardly be attained.
In SLBP, we have cook MC with the "wilder" alternation of ninja MC in the Song of Shadow version. As the Otome universe predicts, each and every character will fall for her: It doesn't matter, if the love interest is bloodthirsty, stoic, funny, naive; she's got them all wrapped around her finger.
Doubtlessly, however, those characters, too, would in fact differ in what they find attractive and seek for in a partner.

Nobunaga:
A well-informed person. Nobunaga's ideal type is someone who has a general overview on a variety of topics and basically knows what's going on in the world. He doesn't even mind if they have sly tendencies. To him, it's important that he can rely on them during tougher times in his life instead of being a cute extra on the side.
Mitsuhide:
Someone who is similar to himself. People can rarely relate to Mitsuhide's choices, interests or hobbies. Due to his exemplary attitude and embrace of virtues, he even took on the image of being a boring person. Someone who relates to him in regard to not only hobbies, but also moral standards would attract him the most.
Yukimura:
A carefree but caring soul. It is most likely that Yukimura falls for a person whom he can share inconsequential moments with, much fun, much love, little drama. This is not to say that there will be no drama in Yukimura's relationships, but it is the softness within a person that makes him potentially fall in love with them.
Saizo:
A light-hearted person. This man doesn't know how healthy human relationships work, so he seeks whatever is easiest for him to deal with. If he can have fun at their expense, that's definitely a plus point. Regardless of if it's actually good for him or not, he's not a fan of being challenged or forced to face certain issues. Saizo prefers a partner who offers him stability in a life of turmoil over someone who acts as a pit stop for further development.
Masamune:
Attentive, patient and serene. Earning Masamune's trust is comparable to approaching a cat - charging right in doesn't work. Rather, it's a better idea to wait, retreat when necessary and retry. Someone who can properly interpret his reactions and doesn't give up on him while still offering him his space would definitely be rewarded with endless loyalty.
Kojuro:
Combining ostensible oppositions. There is little more attractive to Kojuro than someone whose personality is solidified enough for them to determine appropriately when to be mature or silly, when to be compassionate or strict, etc. Ideally, they are dominant, headstrong without neglecting being a teamplayer, when the time calls for it.
Shingen:
A free spirit. Someone who does whatever they want, says whatever they want whenever they want not only attracts Shingen's attention, but also gets him going. He likes people that don't care for others' opinions or restrictions of other kinds, but this doesn't mean that this type of personality wouldn't clash with Shingen in a committed relationship, as he can be very possessive.
Kenshin:
Someone who is appreciative and perhaps a bit unconventional. Kenshin chooses to see beauty in everything and feels attracted to people who manage to do the same. He prefers optimistic and bubbly personalities that have a positive profundity. Besides, he's quirky and enjoys little peculiarities in people who surround him.
Hideyoshi:
Nurturing and compassionate at heart. It's not the behavior or attitude that matters to him, but the motivation underlying the respective actions. Hideyoshi would see a potential partner in someone, if they care for people, regardless of how they show it. Their values have to, however, be genuine instead of being based on ulterior motives and Hideyoshi will see through them.
Toshiie:
The sultry kind. Toshiie feels attracted to whatever is considered conventionally "sexy". His ideal type is someone who is sure of themselves and knows exactly what they want. In that case, they can also afford to be a bit more on the dominant or even arrogant side. However, Toshiie doesn't negotiate when it comes to mentalities that stray too much from his own.

Reminder: "Ideal Type" does not equal what type is actually good for someone, nor does it exclude other types from being someone's potential soul mate. I can totally see Toshiie ending up falling head over heals for a "tomboy" or "wallflower" or Saizo's ideal type impeding his character development etc. etc.

Under the cut is a stupidly long post of about 2 years of my collecting story events, main stories and various special bits, all written up in Google Docs and now open to your wonderful eyeballs. Some notes are also there if you care, if not just click some links and enjoy, send this to someone who might find it useful and/or check out my fanfics (sparkletwink on AO3) if you want to support the ridiculous amount of effort I put into it. Thank you.
Mid-way through my SLBP play I’d started writing a load of fanfic for it and wanted references, so started this collection with the vague intention of eventually sharing it with anyone who might have missed old story events, or for having to enjoy when the servers eventually go down. I don’t write up everyone any more, because it takes a LONG time, so I’m sorry if any of your faves are missing.
If you have any epilogues that you’d like to donate free free to send me a link and I’ll tack them on when I have time. An asterisk in the title of the Doc means I have the epilogue but haven’t written it up yet.
[Ep] refers to a story event including its epilogue, [POV Ep] includes an epilogue from the lord/ninja’s point of view. My MC is called Arekkusu Yuri. I adjust the spellings to British English for my own sanity (sorry ‘Murica) and fix any obvious errors in the writing, but leave any indecipherable nonsense from confusing translation. However, if you notice any mistakes other than that, just leave a comment in Docs to let me know.
(Note: I won’t be giving trigger warnings for questionable behaviour from the characters because I just don’t have the brainpower to check every single story for potential triggers. If you’re in the fandom you probably already know the writing can get dark, e.g. abusive/controlling relationships, death of loved ones, lack of informed consent, unchecked mental illness. Go into anything you read carefully and don’t hurt yourself for the sake of a dumb story.)

Long time no see you guys. After a long time not playing ikesen and slbp, I just miss the lords and ninjas so bad.
I created an OC, named Hoshino Hana [Hoshino in "Hoshino Ichika", Collar x Malice MC. Hana means "flower* and because it is easy to remember lol]. I don't want to replace Ikesen MC because I just love her so so much ❤
I want to write a series of short fics for my OC and some ikesen characters. Hopefully I can post one soon.
Oh, btw, is anyone here currently doing the 100-day drawing challenge like Pewdiepie? He is such an inspiration so I want to do the same in order to practice drawing.

So about this “pyjamas ninjas”. There’s stories running around about how the attire originates in Kabuki stagehands (kurogo 黒衣). Supposedly, the “ninja” actors would blend in with the stagehands that nobody pays attention to, and then right on cue they jump on stage to participate in the performance.
I’m not sure if there’s a concrete documentation for it. Given my limited resources, I haven’t found anything yet. There are only lots of he said she said kind of tales in entertainments sites. The story does make sense, as the “pyjamas ninja” outfit really did resemble what the stagehands looked like:
By the late 1700s or early 1800s, the “trope” of the black-clothed ninja with hoods and mask is firmly recognizable by the public.
The two ukiyoe prints I had up there are Kabuki actor "pin up” prints by Utagawa Kunisada 歌川国貞. The middle picture depicts actor Nakamura Shikan 中村芝翫, and the right picture depicts actor Onoe Kikugorou 尾上菊五郎. I could not find specifications if Kikugorou is supposed to be the ninja or the lady in the picture, unfortunately.
I was also not able to find details on what the exact plays were these prints supposed to depict, so I don’t know if those really were the attire the actors had worn on stage. You can see that the costumes the “ninja” performers wear are actually quite elaborate. I’m not sure if that’s just embellishment for the sake of aesthetic, or if at some point ninja actors no longer hide amongst the kurogo and would just wear fancy black attire on stage.
And after that “black garbed ninja” also made its way into ukiyoe prints that are not depicting Kabuki actors, such as “historical” depictions of past eras, famous novels (such as Genji Monogatari), or even shunga (erotic art). For example, this is a scene from a print by Utagawa Toyonobu depicting a ninja fighting Ranmaru and his brother Boumaru in Azuchi (print dated 1883):
