Following The Pinup Doll and she got this dress from Le Palais Vintage and that shit is adorable and now,
I'm in my feelings about feminine presentation and how as an autistic Black woman I'm always too much of something to be THAT kind of girl, that kind of feminine.
My everyday is full of blacks and grays like, I have these gray sweatpants I love, they're so soft but like,
I clean up nice and have many colorful dresses in my closet, I just don't have an occasion to put them on.
I'm sad about that.
I gotta at least do some walking today.
I need Swiss cheese.
But yeah, Le Palais Vintage looks like my kinda party, the pieces that I can find
I made good on my promise to further explore the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia when I returned for a visit last month. My first thought at seeing the second-to-last image was, “Toto, we’re not in Boston anymore.”
I saw a lot of interesting things in Old City and really loved the vibe of it. There was a lot of red brick and older buildings which was to be expected due to its name. I liked the shops because there weren’t many chain stores but a lot of individual stores and small businesses which really added to character of the town. I learned how to maneuver myself around more around Old City and Philly in general. We went into a boutique called Smak Parlour and a card shop called Omoi Zakka shop. After walking around for a while we decided to find somewhere to eat. Han had never had a cheesesteak from anywhere other than Urban Eatery so we chose a cheesesteak place called Sonny’s. It was really good (I added bacon on mine which made it even better in my opinion). We talked while we ate and got to know each other better. We then walked around a little more until we found The Franklin Fountain. They had amazing ice cream and a really cool old-fashioned design. I got the butter pecan and loved every bite. We also learned a little bit about the history of the store while in there which added to the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely go there again to shop but mostly to eat and just take it all in.
