HELP FIND MY JOURNAL--REWARD FOR RETURN

On 1/30/23 I was on flight UA510 Newark>Orlando & left my journal in the seat pocket. Includes longhand writing inside, photos (including from SPN VanCon 2022--me w/Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins), editorial cartoons, tweet print-outs, washi tape decorations & is precious to me. My name & address are on inside front cover. I'll reward whoever returns it to me either with $100 to the returner or to their favorite charity (charity, not political cause). Please be kind enough to share this post as far and wide as you can. The notebook is a Cognitive Surplus softcover lined notebook, 6"x9", and looks like the above, with a ribbon glued into it as a bookmark.

I finally got into the office to scan my ops from Vancouver, and thought I'd share them.

The diagram I showed them for this was laughable, but I love how it turned out. I didn't explicitly ask for Misha's dom-brow, and I low-key love his disinterest anyway. I should have done this one second, so I might have actually got a smile out of him for this one for my @sunshineshellers fam, but either way, the experience was amazing!

I wimped out on my second one with just Jensen, he's just too radiant, and everything moves so fast. There's definitely a reason some of the best ops come from people who go to lots of cons!

These are my others: Kim & Bri are both more beautiful IRL (obviously!) and you hear Kim before you see her! 😂 AlCal is the actual best! I loved him before, and I love him even more now! 💖 And Rob, precious Rob - that op started it's journey with me as R2M, but then after two cancellations (one I fully expected, and the other I begged to not happen) I had to take the opportunity to make a call back to a message I sent to the Kings of Con patreon back in May. For reference, piking is like flaking out... I was six wines deep when I sent the original message and forgot to filter my slang. 🤣

Anyways - Vancouver was amazing! Of course, the best part was meeting @abi-in-cosmos in the real world! She exists! I've seen her, I've touched her, it was incredible!! 🤩

The catch phrase for my SPN Vancouver ops was “Plan B.” I went into the con with credits from Gen and Rich canceling and a Jensen solo, J2 and Baby, and a J2M. Used the Gen and Rich credits to buy a Jared/Misha and the Rob & Ruth. Then with Jared canceling due to COVID, three of my five ops had to be traded in. But Plan B turned out pretty okay :-)

I had a reference photo for this op and I went in and was looking down to get my hand situated and then looked up and my brain went “eeeek, why is he looking at me? Oh, right, because I told him to.” LOL 

This is a photo of me laughing at Jim’s comment that the people ahead of me looked like they were wearing Jared’s clothes (they were very tall people wearing plaid - he was not wrong).

I've said some grumpy things since Jensen's panel, and I don't mean to offend or upset anyone... but the distrust and disgust offends and upsets me, especially since everyone was jumping on the discourse train before they'd even seen the panel.

Everything Jensen says comes with non-verbal body language and subtext; the exact things we analyse to death to even have destiel to scream about. And yet, here the fandom goes, jumping to "he's a homophobic asshole, he no homo'd the confession" from a chaotic panel moment described to them in a tweet, where all the nuance was sitting in a simple ellipsis.

This is Denver'21 all over again. Have we learnt nothing? Do we really have to do this every time there's a big moment?

I was there in the crowd at this panel. Seeing this discourse, from people who don't have the full context, when you just want to be elated is fucking heartbreaking. Everyone's entitled to an opinion. But remember that your opinions are also allowed to change. If the description of this moment hurt you in tweet form, I implore you to watch the video and reassess.

If you still think Jensen's homophobic after that, then I give up.

as a fellow sheller i have to ask: what was it like seeing them in real life?? ☺️

In a word: surreal.

Photo ops go fast. Everyone says that, but it's true. The most time you get to watch them interact during photo ops is the two or less minutes it takes for them to get through the three people in front of you in the queue, but of course you're spending that time thinking about what you want to happen when it's your turn and hoping you don't end up with Resting Dork Face when Chris snaps the pic. Then when your turn is over, you walk away without a chance to really look back.

But of course, they're both absolutely beautiful. Photos don't do justice to the energy they radiate. I am a Jensen-girl to my very core, and there's no way I could have prepared myself for seeing him so close. My friend and I had the op with Baby as well, and I'm so glad I had her with me as my first op of my "Jensen Day" - although, while we were waiting in that queue, Misha's adventure m&g broke through just in front of us, close enough he almost brushed against me, and we got the wink. Damn, those eyes sure are blue!

I had Jensen's m&g as well, which he was an hour late for (while Misha was 45 mins late for autos scheduled at the same time - I'll let you draw your own conclusion 😉) and the energy he brought to that room was incredible. Just instant smiles and engagement. I didn't know I could love him more.

Then that panel on Sunday! What a way to cap it all off!

Anyways, this just turned into me gushing about the con. But hello fellow sheller - cockles is real, and nothing I saw at VanCon made me doubt it. 💙💚
